Astro Bot is the only game I'm somewhat interested in unless something starts getting 10/10 rave reviews everywhere. The rest can wait otherwise.

I should have room for this game, it'll probably be the only new purchase for the rest of this year assuming it turns out to be a great game. Need to focus on the backlog for a while before buying any more games.

I'm done buying consoles after this gen so don't really care either way.

Probably the same again this weekend. Rise of the Ronin, Gran Turismo 7 and Hellblade 2. Although I must say I'm starting to grow tired of RotR and Hellblade 2 so I'm not sure if I'll continue them. GT7 is fun though.

@OldGamer999 I wouldn't mind that myself, it costs too much to keep buying new consoles and they end up taking up too much space. I think I'm leaning towards going the upgradeable PC route in the future. Most Xbox games are on PC and Sony is porting more and more games that way. Pity Nintendo wouldn't do that too.

Won't be getting this yet, I think you need to be in the right frame of mind to play FromSoftware games and right now I'm not. Maybe in the future though.

Eh not sure I want to put myself through this again, the base game was a bit of an ordeal although in a good way. Think I'll stick with Rise of the Ronin and Gran Turismo 7 for now.

I haven't been too motivated for gaming lately but if I do I'll be playing Rise of the Ronin, Gran Turismo 7 and Hellblade 2.

Still playing Rise of the Ronin, that game is big. Also playing Hellblade 2 on the PC.

Still making my way through Rise of the Ronin. I might also play Hellblade 2 if I have time.

I would also like to see a new Wipeout game, I don't think we will though.

Good to see Dragon's Dogma 2 and Rise of the Ronin in the top 20. I might have to give Stellar Blade a go judging by the feedback its getting, maybe after finishing RotR.

It's Rise of the Ronin and WRC 10 for me this weekend. RotR has been quite enjoyable so far, the combat is great and it's packed with stuff to do. Hopefully it continues to be good as the story progresses. WRC 10 seems like an improvement on 9 too.

I'd rather they prioritize great gameplay first over visuals, then maybe storytelling. The graphics arms race is hurting the industry really with spiralling costs that can't be recouped leading to the layoffs we're seeing. Get back to basics and focus on gameplay first I reckon.

I started Rise of the Ronin yesterday so will be continuing that. I'll play a bit of WRC 10 and finish off Carrier Air Wing on Capcom Arcade Stadium. I also started Greedfall but the combat doesn't seem great in that so may not stick with it.

Have a week off work so think I need a new game to play, maybe Final Fantasy 16. Other than that I'll be dipping in and out of Mario Wonder, Capcom Arcade Stadium and Freedom Planet.

I was going to play it but the download size is bigger than I thought it would be for PS5, maybe I'll just play the PC version.

I'll get it when the price comes down I think. 40 quid would have been a fairer price for a game like this.

I tried Fallout 4 back in the day but didn't get into it, the tv series is decent so may give it another look now.

Think I'll give this a miss, I will check out that soundtrack though.

@breakneck I have nothing major lined up to buy. Mario Wonder could be a nice change of pace after Dragon's Dogma. I don't really want to get into another 80+ hour game which might rule out Balatro haha

After finishing the excellent Dragon's Dogma 2 I'm not sure what to play next. Maybe Mario Wonder, Balatro or Freedom Planet. Alternatively I could just play Street Fighter 6. Decisions Decisions.

I got it once during the endgame when I hired a pawn so immediately dismissed my 2 hired pawns. I took a chance on my main pawn though. There's a chance I finished the game with an infected pawn

What a year, too many good games to play really.

Only found out about this a couple of weeks ago, the mobile app thing puts me off it a bit but I suppose may as well sign up. Probably would have had a million points had I signed up when it first came out. Ah well.

@Blackjay There's nothing I could say that hasn't already been said. Combat and exploration is top class, story is ok but not what you'd play this game for. Some quests can be vague and there's very little hand holding but I prefer that in a game. Enemies can be repetitive early on but you're always on the edge due to the landscape with a risk of getting thrown into water or off a cliff. The performance issues didn't really bother me but I've never been too concerned about framerate in games. You can play the game without ever needing to go near microtransactions, actually they'd just make the game worse if anything. The end game is excellent and changes how you approach the game. I'd give it a 9/10 like PushSquare. I finished the game at 82 hours and enjoyed every minute. I don't know if that helps.

Doing the endgame in Dragon's Dogma 2. I'm not holding out much hope for completing it though as I'm under-levelled and low on supplies. Makes it interesting though.

Good to see Dragon's Dogma 2 up there, amazing game that. Have sunk 68 hours into it and not gotten bored once. I could easily sink another 68 hours into it

That should give me time to finish Remake and Rebirth and FF16 for good measure

Nice one, storage is always a problem with most of the big games these days taking up 80GB or more.

Only played Dragon's Dogma 2 and Prince of Persia on the PS5 this year so it's DD2 for me. I played Balatro on the Steam Deck but haven't spent a lot of time on it yet, it could be a contender though. I must say that the overwhelming praise for Rebirth has got me wanting to play that, need to finish the Remake first however.

I remember buying Mortal Kombat 3 for the MegaDrive for 70 Irish pounds back in the day, prices have come down if anything. Especially with various sales every week.

Still playing Dragon's Dogma 2 every waking moment. I may have to bump my score up to a 9/10 for that game. I bought Freedom Planet 1 & 2 for the Steam Deck also so might give them a go if I can tear myself away from DD2.

I'd give it about an 8/10 after 18 hours. Having said that I can't put it down so that score may rise.

I'll probably pick up this game after I've played Team Ninja's other games. Played a few hours of Nioh and enjoyed it so have some hopes for this game.

Playing Gran Turismo 7, Dragons Dogma 2 and Prince of Persia: the Lost Crown. DD2 is quite an addictive game. I'm also chipping away at Capcom Arcade Stadium and focused on the shooter games at the moment.

After 8 hours I'd give it an 8/10 so far. It's not bad but definitely overhyped. It's no Elden Ring in the combat department and the enemies are repetitive. The open world and pawn system are cool though. I'm not all that bothered about the performance issues either.

There's too many good games releasing within weeks of each other. Can't really buy em all so I'd say that's a contributing factor to poor sales along with the general cost of living these days.

I don't really mind there being a Pro version but won't be getting one myself. Like other people have said I'd probably just get a Switch 2 or upgrade the PC while waiting for a PS6.

I'm continuing with Gran turismo 7 and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. I also just installed Dragon's Dogma 2 so that may take up all my gaming time but we'll see.

I think I'll be making space on my PS5 for this game, I was looking forward to it from the start of the year and seems to have delivered despite some frame rate issues.

That's somewhat disappointing, this would have been my sort of game. Oh well, guess there's plenty of other good games to play.

Think I'll just stick with my current PS5 and wait for the PS6. I didn't buy a PS4 Pro and didn't really miss much to be honest.

@somnambulance @Shepherd_Tallon It's definitely been a great few years for gaming, if you're lucky enough to own a PS5, Switch and PC/Xbox you're completely spoiled for a choice for great games. Even if you just have one console/PC you probably have more top games than you'll ever be able to play. As for the PS5 the last time I remember so many good games on one console was probably the Dreamcast, the PS5 is fast becoming one of my favourite consoles

This game looks like my sort of thing, I sunk many an hour into Euro Truck Simulator. I bought this game for the PC a while back but haven't gotten around to it yet. Games like these require a bit of time investment which I don't have to spare right now unfortunately.

Not a bad month at all, some decent games there.

Contemplating going back to Baldur's Gate 3 (just started the 2nd act) or Tears of the Kingdom. Alternatively I might give Balatro a spin.
