Re: Boba Fett Features in New Footage of the Cancelled Star Wars 1313

AK4tywill

@wiiware This actually isn't the Amy Henning/Visceral Game, that was in development after 1313 was cancelled and never got a title, but it does show that both Lucasarts and EA had a similar journey of wanting to create an Uncharted style game before backing out.

I would personally love to see some footage from that cancelled game. 1313 always seemed very derivative to me, but by virtue of the people behind it (and perhaps simply because it exists almost entirely in the imagination), I was really hopeful for the promise of an Amy Henning Star Wars game.

Re: Poll: What's the Best Uncharted Game?

AK4tywill

I feel like I enjoyed the original trilogy almost equally. Even though I think the sequels are better than Drake's Fortune, not much can beat booting it up and playing it on my PS3 on Christmas day. It was such a beautiful and exotic setting with rich characters and a really engaging story. I know standards have increased a lot since then, but I still feel it has the same charm today.

That said, I have similar feelings for all of them, but gun to head, Uncharted 2 is probably the most fun I've ever had playing a game.

Re: All PS Plus Collection Games on PS5

@R-Soub Yeah, as much as I enjoy my PS5, there isn't really a need for one just yet.
Just be sure to claim your monthly PS5 games for PS+ by using the PS Store on a computer, as that way you'll have a bunch of PS5 games ready to play when you do get one, and you can't claim them via PS4.

Re: Video: PS Plus Games Not Working on PS Vita? Try This

@thefourfoldroot They hired Aaron a couple of months ago for precisely the reason of boosting their video profile and output, so I'd expect more of this.

I think he's doing a really good job too, and this topic is the kind of niche thing that many Playstation fans care about and will find useful down the line but wouldn't likely be covered by other outlets, so I really appreciate it!

@Quintumply I had no idea they had a Trello board but having now checked it out, that's really great. I would personally not have a problem with MM taking their time but as a longtime PlayStation fan I have this ingrained anxiety from Sony shutting down some of my favourite studios despite relative financial and critical success (Sony Liverpool, Evolution etc.).

I think that may be where a lot the fan desire for Dreams to become 'a hit' stems from. It may well be that Dreams is meant to be more of a game with a small dedicated community, a cult hit that more than adequately satisfies a particular type of gamer, and I would be happy to let it be that, but concern over Sony's ambitions and expectations creates this urge for it to expand in more mainstream ways, to get multiplayer, add a ranking system, grab a bit of the 'Fall Guys', 'Among Us' Roblox' crowd with a few viral games and youtuber attention.

I believe Media Molecule have built something more than capable of accommodating that, and early last year it did garner some promising internet attention, though it was fleeting. At the core I just hope for the continuation of Media Molecule and all that they do. They are one of my favourite teams and, in my opinion, one of the best and most daring, creative developers around.

Re: Brief Elden Ring Gameplay Clip Leaks Online

@velio84 We're getting a crazy Q1 with Elden Ring in January, Horizon in February and GT7 in March. Considering Forspoken is scheduled for Spring, I could imagine it coming right afterwards and God of War not long after that. We got it good!

@KundaliniRising333 Yeah it's quite funny that Demons Souls out-shines everything, even From Software's latest. I know that's to be expected with this being a massive open world but even without considering that, I think it just shows how ahead of the curve Bluepoint are.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 395

AK4tywill

I picked up the Directors Cut upgrade for Death Stranding, so I've restarted that. I've also dipped back into Call of Duty WWII. I never finished the single player story for either of them, so I'm enjoying playing doing that on both. They pair nicely for switching between slower paced exploration and fast paced action.

Re: Tomb Raider, Marvel's Avengers Maker Now Co-Developer on Xbox Exclusive

@get2sammyb Honestly, while this is a PlayStation centric site, I do still want to hear about major stories concerning other platforms. It's not like each console lives in isolation of one another, each move one first party company makes affects the others. Imagine not covering the Bethesda Buyout because it wasn't technically 'PlayStation' news. So thanks for covering this and other topics like it.

Re: God of War Ragnarok Wraps Up Norse Storyline, All Nine Realms Featured

AK4tywill

I'm sure this will be great and the last game was one of my faves, but I would by lying if I said I didn't get just a few worrying feelings with this. The fact that it's a new director and not Cory, that they showed so much of the story in the trailer while showing nothing new gameplay wise and with it being the last Nordic game...I'm getting slight Game of Thrones Season 7/8 vibes where they wanted to wrap it up asap to move onto something they're more excited about.

Really hope I'm worrying for nothing, it still looks great!
