Re: Rumour: Sony to Host Big PlayStation Event Next Month

@Specky totally agree, everything that made the PlayStation brand brilliant. Seems to be dwindling away every gen. I want stuff like Shadow of the colossus, a new Ridge racer, Motorstorm. Resistance, Killzone, some ground breaking PSVR 2 games. Sony & most devs need to realise that gaming has a bigger demographic of gamers. Not all of us want the endless open world. Soulslike. Live service dross. If you like that fine, but think of the bigger picture. But I'm not naive enough to realise its all about money, unfortunately that's why the industry sucks now.

@Ainu20 plenty of reason for negativity, Especially on the VR2 front for me. I invested a lot of money on this tech. It feels like Sony don't give a ***** about it. Unfortunately if they expect it to sell you need to take chances, & invest & get creative.

Much of the same then I expect, more open world dross, sprinkle in some indie dross. Followed by some live service crap, hey business as usual at the Sony camp. Sony are really disappointing me this gen. No really amazing single player story driven games, nothing on PSVR 2, just relying on 3rd party support. Damn I spent 530 quid on this damn thing, at least give me Astrobot FFS. The potential for VR is incredible but obviously they don't want to invest in there own tech. Lol.

Re: Rumour: PS5 Pro's 'Enhanced' Label Covers Resolution, Frame Rate, Ray Tracing Upgrades

Axelay71

@danzoEX yes this what a lot of donuts don't realise. That's why this gen is so slow, the constant demand for 60fps, 4k, openworld, raytracing from the cry babies. Is slowly destroying the industry. And the constant flow of the same ***** games, just prettier is a joke. Games should be engaging & fun, not a chore to play. Personally I would love the industry to crash it needs a serious reboot. Keep updating tech isn't the answer, the answer is better coding & pushing the existing tech to its limits.

Re: Nobody Wants to Die Looks Too Good to Be True on PS5

@Titntin totally agree, the more single player experiences the better for me. I'm old school, online, open world gaming isn't for me. Unfortunately there is to much of it. I would love to see the return of rail shooters. With the likes of UE5 powering them imagine how good they could be. Personally the industry doesn't cater for the wider demographic & there are a lot of old gamers out there with disposable income, I'm one of them.

Re: Nobody Wants to Die Looks Too Good to Be True on PS5

Axelay71

@Titntin I appreciate what your saying UE5 is very impressive. But I'm still waiting to see something mind blowing using it. The Matrix demo is probably the best I have seen personally. Regards to the demo, in game engine or not its a poor trailer that gives us no idea of the game.

Re: Nobody Wants to Die Looks Too Good to Be True on PS5

Single player, story driven experience, had me. Refreshing to read something that's not damn soulslike or Metroidvania. But these pre rendered trailers should be a thing of the past. When In game engines are so impressive. Let's see proper gameplay footage!!! This tells me the devs aren't confident in there own work.

Re: Video: One Year Later, Is PSVR2 Doing Enough?

Axelay71

For me personally it's a big disappointment, and yes I paid £530 for it at launch. Sony just released it & then thought oh well not sold great so let's forget it. Instead of really investing in the amazing tech & giving us incredible VR games. All we get is existing games in VR. Puzzles, rhythm, fps, crap.

Re: Poll: What Do You Think of PSVR2, One Year Later?

Axelay71

Had mine at launch, disappointed yes I am. Yes there are a few quality titles. But there is also a lot of *****, just to bulk out the list. No Astrobot is criminal, Rush of blood, Starwars, wipeout, Polybius. All should of had port overs, I have said it before let's have more 3rd person adventures like Moss, Astrobot, also they should cater for gamers like me who love rail shooters. Imagine if Sega gave us a new Silpheed, Starwars arcade. Or Namco with Starwars battlepod, Starblade. Again games like this won't be made because of budgets/sales etc... the industry is ***** to be honest. Its the Same recycled crap year in year out. Personally Sony have already given up on PSVR2, im starting to regret buying one.
