@Specky exactly what im saying, imagine Motorstorm on PS5. But they don't care, because it won't make enough money I expect. This is why Greed is killing the industry. It certainly isn't about what gamers want its about what they want.
That's one of the reasons I don't play online. Can't stand all the cry babies, or the competive idiots who take it to far. Like games I can immerse myself in without distractions.
@Specky totally agree, everything that made the PlayStation brand brilliant. Seems to be dwindling away every gen. I want stuff like Shadow of the colossus, a new Ridge racer, Motorstorm. Resistance, Killzone, some ground breaking PSVR 2 games. Sony & most devs need to realise that gaming has a bigger demographic of gamers. Not all of us want the endless open world. Soulslike. Live service dross. If you like that fine, but think of the bigger picture. But I'm not naive enough to realise its all about money, unfortunately that's why the industry sucks now.
@Ainu20 plenty of reason for negativity, Especially on the VR2 front for me. I invested a lot of money on this tech. It feels like Sony don't give a ***** about it. Unfortunately if they expect it to sell you need to take chances, & invest & get creative.
Much of the same then I expect, more open world dross, sprinkle in some indie dross. Followed by some live service crap, hey business as usual at the Sony camp. Sony are really disappointing me this gen. No really amazing single player story driven games, nothing on PSVR 2, just relying on 3rd party support. Damn I spent 530 quid on this damn thing, at least give me Astrobot FFS. The potential for VR is incredible but obviously they don't want to invest in there own tech. Lol.
Super sprint is still amazing, this looks terrible. Gone is the gorgeous pixel art. Replaced with the usual flash game crappy visual style. Also Super sprint was unique in its control, where you spinned the wheel. Can never replicate that at home unfortunately.
Looks promising, Shadow of the colossus beater very doubtful. Probably will be spoilt by some intricate control scheme, with pointless levelling up crap. SOTC is a masterpiece of game design, no *****.
@DeathlySW yes I agree, some live in a dream world that everything should run in 4k 60fps. No matter how powerful the hardware gets you'll always have the same issues. Personally 1080p is still great for me. I love retro gaming on a crt tv, nothing better.
@GreatAuk 1990 a great year for gaming. The 16bit days the best days. Such an amazing time to play games then. From the consoles to arcade. I'm still playing them. And the Megadrive is still getting new games. Certainly won't be seeing modern systems still being supported like this.
@tameshiyaku totally agree, the industry is in a ***** mess. Thanks to the graphics whores & the 60fps crowd. That's all games are ever based on now its a joke. What will they moan about once this pathetic dream becomes the norm. Personally i play more retro than today's crap. It's more enjoyable & great to play. And none of this tech nonsense in sight.
@danzoEX yes this what a lot of donuts don't realise. That's why this gen is so slow, the constant demand for 60fps, 4k, openworld, raytracing from the cry babies. Is slowly destroying the industry. And the constant flow of the same ***** games, just prettier is a joke. Games should be engaging & fun, not a chore to play. Personally I would love the industry to crash it needs a serious reboot. Keep updating tech isn't the answer, the answer is better coding & pushing the existing tech to its limits.
At last the devs get it as well, what happened to really tapping into the power of these systems. The Megadrive is still being maxed out to this day. Checkout Earthion. And Sony is pushing PS5 pro FFS!!
Single player, story driven, at last something worth getting excited about. This looks stunning. With Amy Hennig at the helm it should something very special.
@Titntin totally agree, the more single player experiences the better for me. I'm old school, online, open world gaming isn't for me. Unfortunately there is to much of it. I would love to see the return of rail shooters. With the likes of UE5 powering them imagine how good they could be. Personally the industry doesn't cater for the wider demographic & there are a lot of old gamers out there with disposable income, I'm one of them.
@Titntin I appreciate what your saying UE5 is very impressive. But I'm still waiting to see something mind blowing using it. The Matrix demo is probably the best I have seen personally. Regards to the demo, in game engine or not its a poor trailer that gives us no idea of the game.
Single player, story driven experience, had me. Refreshing to read something that's not damn soulslike or Metroidvania. But these pre rendered trailers should be a thing of the past. When In game engines are so impressive. Let's see proper gameplay footage!!! This tells me the devs aren't confident in there own work.
That's no loss then, Sony really need a kick up the ass. And get back to what them great in the first place, they have definitely lost focus. Saying that the whole industry has, saturating the market with the same ***** every year, spiralling costs, longer dev times. The way its going things cannot be sustained. But no dev can afford to take risks this is the problem.
For me personally it's a big disappointment, and yes I paid £530 for it at launch. Sony just released it & then thought oh well not sold great so let's forget it. Instead of really investing in the amazing tech & giving us incredible VR games. All we get is existing games in VR. Puzzles, rhythm, fps, crap.
Had mine at launch, disappointed yes I am. Yes there are a few quality titles. But there is also a lot of *****, just to bulk out the list. No Astrobot is criminal, Rush of blood, Starwars, wipeout, Polybius. All should of had port overs, I have said it before let's have more 3rd person adventures like Moss, Astrobot, also they should cater for gamers like me who love rail shooters. Imagine if Sega gave us a new Silpheed, Starwars arcade. Or Namco with Starwars battlepod, Starblade. Again games like this won't be made because of budgets/sales etc... the industry is ***** to be honest. Its the Same recycled crap year in year out. Personally Sony have already given up on PSVR2, im starting to regret buying one.
@AgentMantis totally agree, it's already happening. It's the same ***** year in year out. But the sheep keep buying so devs aren't going to moan. It's all about maximum profit, forget original quality games.
Even more reasons to throw myself into retrogaming even more. Physical all the way for me. Yes I download but not much, modern gaming is starting to bore me so couldn't careless anymore.
Its about time!! Hopefully on PSVR 2. The only reason I really bought one to be honest. Its criminal they just haven't remaster rescue mission for VR2 for now.
@tangyzesty it's about time they realised they won't ever break Sony & Nintendo. Even the open cheque book policy hasn't payed off really. Its always been strange to me though with all the money MS have. They can't seem to ever create amazing AAA titles like Sony have.
Hopefully Microsoft has realised that it's flogging a dead horse. Just become a publisher, bring all the stuff you have (which ain't alot) to the PlayStation, Nintendo platforms, get a bigger audience, make more money.
That would be amazing to see Gears on PlayStation. Would buy instantly. The only franchise on Xbox I'm interested in. Personally Microsoft should throw in the towel on the Xbox brand, like Sega did. Even though I wish Sega was still making consoles.

Re: Confusion as Duelling Reports Confirm/Deny Existence of Dead Space 2 Remake
Amazing games, wouldn't surprise me if it's canned. They have to concentrate on producing as much ***** as possible instead of quality releases.
