So that's still lots of work required post beta. Seems like a day 1 patch to me.
Still tempted to pre order, but I've been playing grim dawn and it's quite fun and filling the lack of diablo. Seeing as I bought diablo 3 at least four times, I suspect I'll defo be getting at some point!
Why is everyone so mega pumped on this version and look less like reality? I know Tekken has not been close, but it didn't look so disproportionate as it does in this version. Everyone looks top heavy and would fall with any slight punch. Still, it's been too long since a Tekken game and I'm looking forward to it even if it looks quite wrong.
Honestly things like this baffle me as to why it takes so long to be practical. I always thought demos sell more games, so it doesn't make any sense that just over two years after launch they add this back in. It doesn't feel that technical either, so I'm really confused.
Man they just need to tweak it a little bit and it's like the zatoichi film series. That would be very cool if they had a zatoichi mode.... Game has gone from "maybe" to "ok, I'm interested..."
Still, I've just got a steam deck and I'm enjoying Tekken 7 on that. Also I've got loads of fighters on the ps5 I really need to get into anyway so all good. This gives me time to complete them all!
This defo looks like a fine addition to gamepass cough sorry ps plus premium. No buy from me for any of these fun bonkers little games as I have enough to keep me playing already!
So what does the subscription give you over the pad alone? Sorry I missed that. The idea I pay £100 then £45 a year makes me sick. I'll stil with my razor which doesn't require a subscription and work. When you stop the subscription, does most of the functionally stop working?
@theMEGAniggle sure. It's insignificantly slower than my friend's one, but only by about 2%, so for the price, it's definitely worth it. I also didn't buy a heatsink - I went with the one provided (in built) and had no issues there. Copying from the ps5 was fast and like most drives it runs slightly faster than the ps5's internal memory. Had it about a month, no complaints so far.
Nothing like promotion for push square! I went with a Kingston fury renegade 1tb for £109 and that's been fine. Not sure what the extra £70 is for other than branding...
Whoever is playing that in demo is some kind of machine... I must say they make the game look humanly impossible, but I guess that's the whole idea of bullet hell games. Andrenilin mode - on! Let's go!
Is this all new animation or is this part of the main story mode? I've only just bought the game and I have been very slowly playing the tutorial, so if this is on story mode - that's going to be one to not skip!
My playstation is slowly becoming my fighting game console of choice, this looks like a fine addition to my ever growing list of fighting games I do and don't play enough. For some reason, I'm playing dead or alive 6 on digital as it was recently reduced. Next up, I'll need to get a better fight stick than my current £60 jobby....
So this explains why I'm so bad online with fighters such as dead or alive 6 and street fighter on the ps5? It's not me, it's the console lag? Brilliant! I'm still good and not 20 years too old to play these games then! Hehe
So GT7 isn't a realistic car simulator any more, that probably falls to assetto corsa competizione (which is virtually unplayable without a steering wheel), but with a wheel it gets pretty close, and that's enough. Shame there isn't enough single player content to keep going for months, the menu books are not quite enough. I pre ordered this, completed, and have not really played since. I don't play online because I can't win, and I don't own a steering wheel, so what I can do on this game is pretty limited now. Shame, I bought the ps5 to play it, I thought it would have a complete single player mode like gt1, where I could buy and sell cars for ages, but it's not quite that game yet. Let's hope they add the resale aspect soon!
I would much rather a physical resurgence rather than a game representation. Man I miss pinball, something that's seemingly impossible to emulate. There are far too many in private ownership Vs the arcade. I'll buy one myself when funds and space materialize, but I better get in quick as they are only going up in value!
If you are partial to those tracks, you can always emulate (providing you have the rights to the ROM that is, i.e. the original cart). Maybe the new tracks will make the game seem fresh anyway?
We have over six months if these teasers? Oh dear! Enough to make me want to play sf6 and then not and then again then not until I'm totally fed up with watching anything to do with it. Guile looks good for his age though doesn't he?
Initial thoughts - commentary could be limited, leading to repetition. However the in car voices sound brilliant, and my god races actually look good (presuming thats not just an intro video only). It would be a shame for them not to include driving, however I guess licenses prevent that. Still, defo one to wait for the actual reviews post launch, as it could either be brilliant or limited.
@MisterXpoSay I thought this, with the ps5 loading this screen is effectively redundant. So it's going to be mandaded probably to allow for cross format battles. But who knows!
@itsfoz zero chance, sony has explicitly stated they are not doing day one releases as they wish to capitalise before adding to the subscription service. Still, I would be happy to be charmed into that ideal, because then it saves me the inevitable £70 price tag (or more) with this game
I'm happy with dark mode for the menus! On my oled the white menus used to burn my eyes. Also because I'm rubbish, easy mode means I'll pick this up and give it a go, I'm still stuck on level 2!
Am I allowed to feel proud I managed to get all my licenses before this patch? The dirt ones were damn hard but basically I did them without breaking except on one or two corners and a massive amount of retries. Glad it's made them easier, it was obvious they were a lot harder than the other levels and now I know why!
@Gloamin no they were there last build. In fact, I'm wondering if this a a feature of switching from ray tracing mode to performance mode. I've noticed it loads since switching and in fact the popin is worse than the draw distance of my Dreamcast! Loads of detail everywhere, but when it comes to shadows under a bridge, there is so much pop in it reminds me of the ps1 days....* *Btw, I'm a pain in the arse in real life too.
That looks great, shame it's due in the autumn. Looks like I'm the only one to get excited by a purely 2d fighter in a modern age - but yes this looks good. Having said that, guilty gear strive did an amazing job, so this is up against some tough competition! Good luck.
I wonder if they will add a performance RT mode of some sort later on? 30fps burns my eyes since before the Dreamcast, but maybe something like 40 or 50 would help.
I bought a ps5 due to the hype of this game, so I really hope it lives up to it. The problem for me is I played wreakfest then gt sport and suddenly gt felt lifeless and like driving a ghost box around a circuit. Wreakfest even before haptics had a real sense of speed and a feel of impact when hitting things. I really hope GT adds that level of realism to the next game and not just continue on with the less detailed souless vibe you get from GT sport.
Did they improve this beyond the beta much? Back then the game was very buggy and also felt quite empty. If it's not improved much, I would not recommend this game!
Yes if games get too big and take too long to make, to have the same amount of games you can either have more studios or sequals. Nintendo seem to be all about sequals with some new ip thrown in a few times a generation, however I'm starting to see the intelligence in their model as this prevents the super reliance on let's say 10 aaa games per generation. Let's see where we end up, but I'm starting to wonder exactly how many games we will see this generation, maybe less because games are now too big!

Re: Hwoarang Is Ready to Kick You to Bits In Tekken 8
@Green-Bandit same here. Tekken now seems a serious fighter where as sf6 seems like a Dreamcast type city vision. Just match up people and be done!

Re: Celebrate Valentine's Day with Sackboy: A Big Adventure's Latest Free DLC
I would love some new levels. A proper paid DLC would be well received from me, although I normally hate DLC.
I guess we have to wait until this year or next for astrobot or a new sackboy....

Wow the technology in the ps5!

@twitchtvpat for steam native, it's brilliant. I recommend it!
Re: Tekken 8 Aiming for Release in Fiscal Year 2023, But Could Be Later
@h15c0r3r text is a bit difficult to read but once you know the menus it's fine. Run the game with medium settings:

Re: Tekken 8 Doesn't Reuse Any Tekken 7 Assets, Built From the Ground Up on Unreal Engine 5
@4kgk2 I was going to say "not the same visual assets, but it reuses the same code!"
I'm sure it will play much the same, it will just look rather night. As long as we get near instant loading on ps5 - that's all I care about.
