MS Rewards is handy for building up credit, can't see a downside to PS having a similar thing. Couldn't care less if it's a direct copy, if it gives me a chance to get some easy funds like MSR then I'm all for it.
Plan on watching it over the weekend, keeping expectations low, hoping it's really just some decent zombie nonsense really.
Strikes me a bit of bubblegum TV as my mate calls it, nothing too serious, you can stick it on, not have to think to much and just enjoy it for what it is.
Stray being the main one I am interested but there are few AC games there I've not played, Avengers is one that is not one I would buy but will certainly give a go on this service.
Can't wait to get this, Shredders Revenge was fantastic, had a great time playing it with the wee man, he loved it and so we are both patiently waiting to get out hands on this
@NEStalgia "If you don't want to call it a cash grab, call it a very cynical exploitative, manipulative lowest common denominator abuse of a market made up of many with poor impulse control in one of the most egregious examples of media industry gouging in recent memory."
@TheArt complaining about wanting a 60fps patch is entirely different to complaining a studio has made nothing new because they are remaking a game that has already had a remaster.
I would also imagine Rockstar has a lot more employees than ND, my local Rockstar studio has around 40 employees I believe, probably more than enough to work on a patch whilst the larger studios work on GTA 6
I'll leave it at that or we will descend into treading old ground from the story about TLOU
I'm gonna hazard a guess that if they are ditching everything to focus on GTA 6 the single player will be secondary to the online.
A bare bones single player experience that will probably try to shoehorn you into their online money maker at every given opportunity, all so as you get the biggest, best GTA experience ever.
That's if there even is a single player side to the game, although I expect they will be purely so as they don't miss out on those who they might sucker in.
Not for me this one, doesn't feel like long enough has gone by since the first release and subsequent remaster to warrant it (although GTA V says hi I suppose).
I had to stopped the second one as it felt like a drag and whilst I enjoyed the first installment first time around, I've no real urge to revisit that particular gaming universe.
@nessisonett shouldn't be hard to verify what they are putting out but nowadays, with many outlets, it's about being the first to get the story out, the facts can wait.
10 years ago, or there about, mid 20s (ok late 20s) me was buzzing for GTA V. And yeah I bought it on PS3, XBone and PS5.
Now, can honestly say I'm not all that interested in the next installment and if it pushes towards an online/connected experience as the main guts of the game, that will rule it out for me.
And let's be honest, a lot of what made these games was the satire and parody, I think we are bordering on living in a world that is fast becoming a parody of itself in many respects. Be interested to see how they handle that, a more serious tone maybe?
Still working away at Ghost of Tsushima, Act 1 done, spent a bit of time clearing the first island and fully liberating it. Couple of question marks left there but wanting to crack on with the main story again.
Imagine getting that wound up by not finding out a release date of a game. It'll release when it releases. You'll buy it or you won't. The world will still turn, you'll still be taxed, life will go on.
The sense of entitlement some people have is just downright bizarre.
They don't owe you information and they don't work to your timeline.
Never gonna happen... But it would be hilarious if they just canned the project completely, imagine the scenes.
Pacman 256 (or whatever it's called) with the wee man, good for a wee break from bigger games and a fun little coop game.
Still working through GoT, about to have to clear out the Forge after saving Yuna's brother, just tidying up a few side quests and the like before doing that. Assume I'm nearing the end of Act 1 at this point but haven't really checked as don't want any spoilers.
Have been messing around with Empire of Sin as well, it's always interested me as I love this type of game but never pulled the trigger because of reviews. Happy it's on Extra so as I can give it a go, seems ok though I've not done very much at all.
Happy with Crash, especially as it's the PS4 and 5 version, means the wee man can get it as well, he's has been wanting it for a while although we are still working out way through the trilogy.
Some people get so wound up by the least of things. Imagine letting it get to you like that.
The emails are a minor annoyance. Set up a folder and with a rule that puts them in that folder. Then turn notifications off on that folder. Purge it every so often if you need to.
Amongst other thing downloaded GoT from Extra, tried it out last night and am quite enjoying it so I'll likely be playing that for what little time I have this weekend
I honestly find it baffling that there are people out there who thought they could just lay down £80/£100 a year and they would get access to an ever expanding list of games forever more.
Boggles the mind so it does.
Would be nice however if you got a bit off it if you choose to then purchase the game, much like you get with GP.
So had a proper look throught this now, Extra tier.
Downloaded GoT Demon Souls Guardians of the Galaxy Empire of Sin (more out of curiosity than anything) Stellaris (expect I won't get on with this too well as I play it on PC) Tetris Effect Terraria
On top of that we have Stray to come and there are about another dozen games that I would like to give a bash.
All the other heavy hitters I own already (Returnal, Miles Morales, Spiderman etc).
Depending on the quality added during refreshes I can see this being quite decent for the money, certainly I'm getting my money's worth as we start the service.
Was gonna get a quarterly next week when my sub runs out but might just fork out for the year and see how it goes

Re: Ghost of Tsushima Surpasses 9.73 Million Copies Sold on PS5, PS4
I didn't buy this at the time, no idea why.
Playing through it somewhat slowly on plus, fantastic game and really glad it has sold well.
If/when the sequel comes out that will be a must buy for me.
Re: Video: 31 Facts You Need to Know About Skull and Bones on PS5
Full price, live service, Ubisoft game? As much as I like the whole Pirate thing I think I'll pass.

Nice.

Re: PS Plus Extra, Premium PS5, PS4 Games for July 2022 Revealed
As an Extra sub, I'm happy with that list.
Stray being the main one I am interested but there are few AC games there I've not played, Avengers is one that is not one I would buy but will certainly give a go on this service.
Solid I would say.
Re: Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course Passes an Impressive Sales Milestone: One Million Units Sold
Not played it yet, can't get the Switch off the wee man, he is getting frustrated by it but can't put it down.
Glad it has sold well, as @playstation1995 says, great game and great art style.
Re: TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection Battles Bebop, Rocksteady in Several Games on PS5, PS4
Cash gra... Oh wait...
Can't wait to get this, Shredders Revenge was fantastic, had a great time playing it with the wee man, he loved it and so we are both patiently waiting to get out hands on this

This is a great way to put it.
Re: Poll: Is The Last of Us: Part 1 Really a 'Cash Grab'?
Popcorn at the ready 🍿
Re: PS5 Remake The Last of Us: Part I Has Gone Gold
Maybe when it hits Extra 👀

Re: Rumour: Red Dead Redemption 2 PS5 Version Also Ditched for GTA 6
A bit disappointing, I always hold off starting it again in the hopes of a PS5 version/patch...
They have a studio along the road from me, might go give them a chap and ask what's up
Re: The Last of Us PS5 Remake Is Meticulously Built and Crafted, Not a Cash Grab
Think we really need a poll on this, come
on Sammy put up a poll, that will settle this 😂
Re: The Last of Us PS5 Remake Is Meticulously Built and Crafted, Not a Cash Grab
@Tharsman yeah clearly. Must apologise for my stance.
Just wait until the masses of die hards find out I don't like Horizon or GoW.
Torches out!
Re: The Last of Us PS5 Remake Is Meticulously Built and Crafted, Not a Cash Grab
@dark_knightmare2 I've not spread misinformation, I've said it seems like a cash grab to me.
That would be an opinion, my opinion. Not a whinge.
Maybe learn the definition of misinformation before you throw a hissy fit at people
Re: The Last of Us PS5 Remake Is Meticulously Built and Crafted, Not a Cash Grab
@dark_knightmare2 if you're working on the game and are upset by my comments then I can only apologies.
Otherwise, settle down eh?
Re: Stray's Day One Pawtch Notes Correct Naughty Cat Collisions on PS5, PS4
@nathanSF as a cat owner, a ginger Tom at that, I am horrified by this comment 😂
Re: The Last of Us PS5 Remake Is Meticulously Built and Crafted, Not a Cash Grab
@GagaOooLaLa I've not followed any news about this other than I know it's happening, is it really £70?!
Christ, that certainly screams cash grab to me.

Can't wait to get my claws into it
Re: GTA 6 Needs to Exceed Players' Expectations, Rockstar Admits
@Dodoo yeah I'd add my name to the list of those who would love SD2, loved that game.

Re: New PS Store Sale Has 1,000+ Big PS5, PS4 Game Discounts, Live Now
Nothing for me, still working through Ghost of Tsushima and have a queue of games from Extra, plus the PS5 versions of RE 2, 3 and 7 to get through.
Saves me money though so I'm not complaining.
Re: God of War Ragnarok Release Date Confirmed for 9th November
Wasn't a fan of 2018 so my hype level for this is a firm "meh"
But I'll give 2018 another bash over the next couple of months to see if I can get into it.
Between this and Horizon, always feel quite bad for disliking two of the biggest franchises on PlayStation at the minute 😂
Re: Feature: What Are Your Most Anticipated PS5, PS4 Games for the Rest of 2022?
Stray
Callisto Project
The Witcher 3
Persona 5 Royal
Hogwarts Legacy
In no particular order. Hogwarts only included because it said I could select up to 5 and I felt I needed 5.
Another couple I might pick up but nothing much else grabbing my interest on that list.

Re: Poll: Are You Happy With Your PS Plus Essential Games for July 2022?
Happy with Crash, especially as it's the PS4 and 5 version, means the wee man can get it as well, he's has been wanting it for a while although we are still working out way through the trilogy.
That makes it a fine month for me.
Re: PS Plus Essential PS5, PS4 Games for July 2022 Announced
Happy with Crash, good it's the PS4 & 5 versions, means the wee man can get it on the PS4 as well.
MoM I had on my list of games to try on extra, not too fussed about the crossover with the potential to keep it if I down grade.
Multiplayer crap, as ever, will be ignored.
Happy enough with the month.
Re: Rumour: PS Plus Essential PS5, PS4 Games for July 2022 Leaked Early
Crash is a solid pick if true, me and the wee man will no doubt have some fun with that.
MoM I can get through Extra but in all honesty I'm not fussed if there is overlap, not like I'm missing out there.
As always, anything multiplayer ain't for me so that will be left well alone.
Re: Soapbox: PS Plus Premium Has Turned My Email Inbox into a Nightmare
@zupertramp can you stop replying to me, you're filling up my inbox with pointless notifications.
And I'm not working hard to do anything, I'm just sat here enjoying my afternoon.
Re: Soapbox: PS Plus Premium Has Turned My Email Inbox into a Nightmare
@zupertramp I'm sure more than my bank offer that service, probably most do these days.
Re: Soapbox: PS Plus Premium Has Turned My Email Inbox into a Nightmare
@lacerz and there is that.
If you know how to set up filters correctly it really is amazing what they can do. Genius you could say.
Re: Soapbox: PS Plus Premium Has Turned My Email Inbox into a Nightmare
@zupertramp my online banking takes care of that for me, little things called notifications when I spend.
Genius right enough
Re: Soapbox: PS Plus Premium Has Turned My Email Inbox into a Nightmare
@get2sammyb oh I know the article is in jest, some of the comments here though... Maybe not so much

PlayStation - Thank You For Your Article.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 432
Amongst other thing downloaded GoT from Extra, tried it out last night and am quite enjoying it so I'll likely be playing that for what little time I have this weekend
Enjoy!

Re: Poll: Which PS Plus Tier Are You Subscribed To?
Extra here. Happy with that, premium would be a waste for me regardless of the catalogue
Re: PS Store Weekend Sale Live Now, PS5 Exclusives Included
Yeah if I'm buying a game day one I know it's gonna be cheaper down the line... But I want it day one.
Wouldn't say I've been screwed over. If it went half price in the 1st few days yeah...
Your head needs a wobble if you think your being screwed over... Don't like the price? Wait for a drop.
Simple stuff.
Re: PS Store Weekend Sale Live Now, PS5 Exclusives Included
@Gloamin 100 times this, great game and for under £20 it's a steal.
I'll need to do another play through at some point soon... After the glut of games from the new plus
Re: PS Plus Extra Members Get Deliver Us the Moon PS5 Version Today
It's maybe not one that I would have bought unless it was on sale, but now, I'll be sure to give it a bash
Re: PS Plus Extra, Premium Now Live in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand
So had a proper look throught this now, Extra tier.
Downloaded
GoT
Demon Souls
Guardians of the Galaxy
Empire of Sin (more out of curiosity than anything)
Stellaris (expect I won't get on with this too well as I play it on PC)
Tetris Effect
Terraria

Not bad from Sony though IMO.
Re: PS Plus Extra, Premium Now Live in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand
Upgraded to Extra last night and had a quick look through, seen what looked like a lot of PS4 games listed as Premium.
I'm gonna assume as it was so late my brain was tired and I was missing something obvious.
Can't even remember which ones neither.
I'll have a look once the kids leave for school, check it out properly
