Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 562

This weekend I’m finally getting around to Doom Eternal and I’m close to finishing Astrobot on PS5. And on Switch I picked up Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Thank Goodness You’re Here on sale. Both are a fun and easy which is a nice change after a good session of Doom. Have a great weekend!

I just finished Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on Series X. Definitely one of my favorite games this year. I played it through game pass but I’ll be buying it to play again early next year when it hits PS5. If you can, definitely check it out it’s really that good. Have a great weekend and Holiday!

Re: Poll: One Year Later, How Would You Rate Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PS5?

F1at8mot0

@KingPev that’s pretty much how i felt. I couldn’t ever bring myself to finish it. None of the characters are interesting and they all look and sound bad. Also having sheds played this exact game twice before with the first two games it’s just busy work at this point. I just played all the way through Mad Max from 2016. That games was way more fun and entertaining than Spider Man. But that’s just my thoughts.

Re: Poll: Are You Sold on PS5 Pro?

F1at8mot0

I’m Feeling like this generation hasnt event gotten started really, and then this. I think my sights are now squarely set on what the new Switch 2 will bring. Also i have a back log and so many retro games id like to play. Im to the point that i just dont care about the newest and latest PS. But good for those who do.

This weekend I’m done traveling for work for a couple weeks. So with that I’m actually playing Spider-Man 2 after picking up on sale. To my surprise I’m lik liking it quite a bit! I’ll definitely see it through. I’m also playing GPolice, What a nice nostalgia trip! And as always more Gran Turismo 7. They just keep making that game better and better! 130hours in now, and I see no end in sight. Have a great weekend!

Re: Reaction: The Problem with PlayStation Right Now

F1at8mot0

@Nem this! Exactly this! The PS3 and PS4 were so good for this. I don’t care at all about the best graphics. 8 and 10 hour games are the perfect length. And if they want to push anything, push for 60fps at 1440p. That’s the sweet spot for making great looking games that are super smooth and fun to play.

@GeminiReign I agree that HZD is the better game. However, definitely jump into the sequel when the time is right. It is pretty cool and looks the business. Also Gotham Knights is a good time. Pretty fun city to explore and using the different characters provides some fun variety. I found to be just a fun thing to zone out to.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 515

F1at8mot0

@GeminiReign this is exactly why I still haven’t picked it up. I had the same issue with the first and i just can’t be bothered. It’s also why I haven’t picked up Spider Man 2 yet. Too much of the same over and over. Alan Wake 2 has been a breath of fresh air. I finished it on Series X a week ago. And I just purchased it again on PS5 and I’m already 10 hours in after three days. It’s so fun and interesting. And nails extruding I love about games. To be fair there is a fair amount of story but it never feels over bearing.

This weekend I’m trying to get throh Immortals of Aveum. I’m really enjoying it. I don’t understand the hate and lack of sales. It’s exactly the kind of fun refreshing new IP that this gen has been missing. I also picked up Alan Wake 2 on sale. I will jump into that when I’m done with Immortals. Have a great weekend!!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 507

F1at8mot0

I picked up Immortals if Aviam for $8 on SeriesX. I’m not sure why this game got over looked. So far I’m loving it! I’m now in chapter seven and it’s just a fun and kind of silly FPS but with magic. Actually it’s one of the more interesting games I’ve played this year. At least it’s not a sequel. We all want something new but when a new IP comes out nobody buys it. And we teach developers that all we want are sequels and remakes of the last of us. Definitely check this game out if you get the chance.

Sad to see it go but they have been talking about the death of E3 since 2007. So i guess it’s time it finally died for real.

Re: 11 PS5, PS4 Games Are Leaving PS Plus Extra in December 2023

F1at8mot0

@BrotherFilmriss have been considering the same thing for awhile now. I started recently by canceling Game Pass. Just not worth what they want for it anymore. As for plus i might go down to essential as well. I have a big enough back log now, that i practically have my own premium collection anyway.

Re: Feature: Celebrating 10 Years of PS4 with Our Favourite Games

F1at8mot0

My Favorite console of all time is the PS1 followed closely by the PS3. But the PS4 has some truly great games as well. I also played a ton of Indi games on it as well. Just a very solid library.

This is my list of just a few of my favorites.
Best PS4 Games
Horizon Zero Dawn
Death Stranding
Resident Evil 2 Remake
God of War
Gran Turismo Sport
Titan Fall 2
Uncharted the Lost Legacy
Ghost of Tsushima
The Last of Us part 2
Drive Club
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Head Lander
Days Gone
Yoku’s Island Express
Stores: The Path of Destinies

Re: Talking Point: As PS5 Turns 3, How Are You Feeling About It?

F1at8mot0

The console is great but this generation of games has been nothing special. My favorite game for the PS5 is still Astros Playroom. Other than that nothing has really taken advantage of the console in an interesting way. It’s still less discounting than the Series X. PS1 and PS3 are still my two all time favorite consoles and libraries ever. I’m still hoping for more great things from PS5 though.

Since the GT7 patch it’s been mostly playing against the new Sophy AI. What a joy to race against! I also blasted through the new weekly challenges. I’m over 100 hours into GT7 and i still can’t get enough of it. And when i need a break I’m actually playing through The Calisto Protocol. I’m really liking it so far. Have a great weekend everyone!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 500

F1at8mot0

Happy 500th! Push Square! This is the best community I’ve found for gaming. Thank you! This weekend I’m jumping back into Guardians off the Galaxy. Once I finish that I’ll pick up either Spiderman 2 or Alan Wake 2. But I’m also spending quite a bit of time in Forza Motorsport. It’s a good pallet cleanser after a long single player play session. Have a great weekend everyone!

Re: Poll: How's Your Hype for Marvel's Spider-Man 2?

F1at8mot0

Honestly i was actually not a huge fan of the first Spider-Man. I liked it well enough, and did finish it. I actually liked Miles Morales much better. I think it felt more focused and didn’t have all the terrible puzzles and stealth garbage. I’m kind of burned out on Sony’s first party actually. I’ve had to force my way through the few I’ve played. I still have never even played GoW Ragnarok. I’ll be interested to see if this new Spidey game will hit the mark for me.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 495

After I finished Jedi Survivor I replayed Control and Alan Wake to get ready for the sequel. So I’m kind of between things right now. I still pick and push a bit further into Dead Space Remake which is always a fun time. But last night Istarted the timeed free trial for The Crew Motorfest. So far I’m really looking it. I did give my best effort and tried get into Starfield. But like all Bathesda RPG’s I just can’t stick with them. It’s a great game but just not for me. Spider-Man 2 is the one I’m really waiting for. Have a great weekend!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 492

F1at8mot0

I just finished the Jedi Survivor story. But spent hours yesterday evening just cleaning out things I’ve missed in the different planets. Also picked up the Dead Space Remake on sale. I’ve started that and I’m about two hours in. Still such an amazing game. I’m also running through the Alan Wake Remake to get ready for the sequel. Have s great weekend!
