I will makes sure RE8 has the honor of being the first PSVR2 game I play! I would have liked to play 7 in the set first but we don't always get what we want unfortunately.

Never been so excited for DLC before, love everything that's been shown! Is incredible that in a few years Capcom went from being one of the worst studios to one of the best.

If is from a third party developer it will be a free update or a small fee, if is from a Sony studio you will have to buy it again 🙂

I'm still excited for the headset though it just means is not a day one purchase, the great thing would have been playing the psvr games while you wait for the psvr2 ones to come out drip by drip.

I'm actually really excited for this VR set, it will be my first time trying VR. If it was BC it would have been a day one but this news means I will wait at least a year or two for it to build up a decent library.

I more excited to see what Guerrilla is working on next, after some dlc (and VR game) I hope they let the Horizon IP rest for a bit. I mostly enjoyed FW but it did feel more like an expansion to ZD rather than a full blown sequel.

Day 1 DLC for me! fantastic game that I can't throw enough praise at, It was easily my goty. I thought RE was dead after the boredom simulator that was 6 but Village along with 7 resurrected the franchise and I can't wait to see what comes next! 🤞

@Sqush-Pare Well it certainly isn't helping Sony's already strained relationship in Japan. If anything they should have lowered the PS5 in their ex homeland as a nice gesture to the country that put them on the map and provided PlayStation with some of the best games ever.

Pretty much! Sony does the same thing but on a smaller scale not because they feel guilty monopolizing the industry but because it's all they can do with their worth.

Give them Microsoft's worth and we would be seeing similar crap which I based on the millions they currently spend on third party exclusivity deals (timed games, dlc, perks).

This is honestly getting old, the deal is going through no matter how much Jim cries. You shouldn't have to depend on a game made by a third party to sell your system. Nintendo sells theirs by the truckload just with their ips and Sony needs to do the same.

Persona 5 is one of my favorite games of all time and I previously bought the previous two itirations at full price, that being said there's no way I'll pay anything close to full price for a third release.

I hated it when Naughty Dog did it and I still hate it here, doesn't matter if I love the game or not it's incredibly greedy and shows contempt for the most loyal of fans.

I know without a doubt Jim was giggling like a school girl when he saw this, now we just need for Xbox and Nintendo to raise the price of it's consoles which would probably result in Jimmy being so happy he strips naked in the middle of the street and starts singing God Save the King.

So my question is why is Sony spending millions of dollars keeping games off of Xbox when they sell like wet dog anyway? Is Jim Ryan the dumbest and most wasteful business exec in gaming?

If Final Fantasy really sells like a 107 copies on Xbox and I pay millions to prevent those 107 copies from being sold on my competitor then I'm just setting money on fire for no reason 🤷

@WCB Like someone above mentioned, the price should only be taken into account for remasters, remakes, re-re-releases. I don't think you will see the vast majority of people here crying about Ragnarok's price when that releases.

I would be slightly more forgiving if it included the excellent multiplayer which for some people I know it was more entertaining then the main game, is ridiculous we're paying more money for less game.

Still strange that it doesn't support Sony's own phones, I would figure that would be the first request for getting Sony's seal of approval.

It almost seems on purpose or they have possibly some of the worst compression techniques in gaming. You can combine the latest Madden with Fifa which are about 50gb each and include all the patches and 2K23 still takes up more space!

Isn't it strange that Japanese Sony, the platform king of jrps makes -0 of them? They have thousands of developers all across the globe (aka the West) and they can't put a team of 20 developers in a room and have them make a Jrpg?

How easy and cheap would it be for them to open a small studio with a small team in Japan and have them make something that Japanese players and some of us would like? Yet they don't do that and they won't 🤷

The modding scene on Spider-man has been incredible, I can imagine Returnal will get similar treatment. Thanks to mods and the specs of PCs (if you can afford a high end model) all these PlayStation games play best there.

We really are paying more for the vanilla version of the games unfortunately. They will get to experience Returnal at 120fps before us, actually we probably won't get it at all.

Time exclusive sounds terrible enough but developed by Team Blooper sounds even worse, I hate when Japanese IP's (includes films, anime, games) are done or remade by western developers.

I got zero expectations for this and I will still end up disappointed. Instead of Square I would prefer Sony purchased Konami, fired everyone at the top and saved all the mistreated properties crying for help.

@4kgk2 This is procedure more than anything, they don't have the power to block the purchase. This is an American company buying another American company, the FTC are the only ones that can block the purchase.

I'm looks very polished just from that little clip, the 60fps option should be the default. I do hope they make his blades more fun and combo wild like in GOW3, the blades of Chaos were my only complaint in an otherwise fantastic game.

I'm more worried about Tencent who little by little buy stakes of a company before devouring it whole. I rather Microsoft buy everything IF we have to choose between evil or dictatorial evil aka China.

All these companies that are purchased by either Tencent or NetEase should immediately be asked after stating how much freedom they now have "Is Taiwan a sovereign country?" Just watch as they twist themselves into pretzels with ultimately stating "new phone who dis?"

In summary if you have not played tlou before and don't mind the heavy asking price then this is for you, if you have played this before and have no urgency to replay it a third (6+ if you went for Platinums) then wait for it to come down in price 👍

That's the thing GOW is not too far off. Why would I pay the same price for technically a PS3 game in it's third release over a brand new game with actual new everything?!

The $70 would have been easier to swallow IF it included the excellent multiplayer which to many people including me was half the game, actually I sunk more hours into Factions then the actual single player.

It could have also been bundled with Part II but whatever I'll get it on a deep discount like many others have said.

Pretty interesting that they just have billions of dollars laying around to purchase studios (with much more to come!) but man they just had to raise the price of the consoles or they could have possibly face bankruptcy apparently 🤷

I can't really think of too many bad things Sony could do to make you take the side of the consumer for once. Perhaps if Jim Ryan were to have a press conference wearing Xbox branded pajamas and swore allegiance to Game Pass!

Yeah in this case I think the divorce is mutual, neither party is too fond of each other. The Switch is the go to place if you love Japanese.

PlayStation is now only guaranteed Final Fantasy and that's because they are paying out the ass, otherwise who knows. I still think if the backlash is severe and loud enough Sony will reconsider.

The sad part about some of the comments defending a poor, helpless, bullied and lonely multi-billion dollar corporation is that they are doing it for free out of their own time 🤷

All of a sudden that lawsuit Sony received a few days ago is looking pretty good about now, the lawyers must be smiling uncontrollably from this new development.

Until Microsoft and/or Nintendo raise the cost of their systems too Sony will and should be looked at as the most greediest money hungry anti-consumer of the big three.

Like some others have said, never in PlayStation's history are they making more money then they are now. Not even Sony's Dominant PS2 days come even remotely close to the revenue they are bringing in Wheelbarrows.

They could have easily eaten whatever loss they are currently experiencing and still not really be affected by it, but the more these corporations make the more they want so were the ones stuck holding the L.

They are making more money now then they have ever in the entire history of Playstation, on top of that they charge more for games then any other console manufacturer.

If I was in charge of Xbox I would be running non-stop attack ads, also it looks like Sony have 100% given up on Japan. Is now and will forever be Nintendo's kingdom.

Okay I've been negative up to this point but this trailer was really good, I could see much more polish and there seems to be more meat to the story. They do a similar trailer before release and the game can have solid sales.

"asymmetrical multiplayer" Well that's disappointing ☹️ why can't once one of these games based off a horror movie be single player? (the answer of course is these type of games can be made for cheap) nice trailer though!

Missed opportunity for the controller to be able to switch modules back and forth between the D-pad with the left stick in case someone prefers the Xbox/Switch layout.

@Jslade I really hope that's the case, even if the movies are average at best it can give us a little break from the 100 super hero movies, shows and games we are slated to get every year.

@NinjaWaddleDee The one time I'm actually begging Sony to please put both games on PC. These would be received extremely well, generate easy revenue for Sony and bring awareness to the IP.

I'll take any Gravity Rush content in whatever form it comes in! That said I hope is at least CGI, can't really picture a live action adaptation of Kat not looking like a cosplay.

I will definitely pick it up later, looks like dumb fun. There's nothing wrong with something just being for dumb turn your brain off fun, just look at how successful Marvel movies are with that concept 🙂

I would only support this if Nintendo and Microsoft were added to the lawsuit, makes no sense to just target Sony while the others chill in the back.

It's been a week or two since we've seen a new Marvel game so this is fantastic news 👍
