I've only played 4 and 3 and about 3/4 or so of 1, but I can still make my list with confidence, because 1 was absolutely terrible.
1: UC 4: Great game, with an interesting story, great characters, awesome action sequences and beautiful locations. Not a game I'll have tons of nostalgia for, but it would absolutely be well-worth buying at full price. I'll give it a 9/10.
2: UC 3 Great game as well, although the narrative wasn't as good as in 4. I honestly can't remember the details of the story that well. Plus, the villain was boring, and the action sequences weren't as good as the ones in 4. I'll give it an 8/10
3: UC 1: It's probably largely due to the fact that I played it for the first time this year, and it's a pretty old game, but I really don't like this game at all. The platforming was frustrating at times, the story and characters were stale, and everything was just boring and repetitive. I'll give it a 4/10.
I find the sticks annoyingly slippery. I have no problems with that on any other controller. It's not due to wear either, since I just got the console and controller like 10 months ago, and have always had that problem.
@BLP_Software I don't think they ban people for liking Nintendo, do they? I haven't really kept it a secret that I enjoy Nintendo a lot, even more than Sony in certain aspects, and I'm still here.
I wish they had called them clans. Whenever I hear the word "squad" anymore, I always think of a group of girls all crowded around in a group selfie with the hashtag #squadgoals. People have absolutely ruined that word for me, lol.
@AFCC Yeah, exactly. Later parts of the game got better for that, but it was absolutely mind-blowing how many cheap jump scares were at the start of the game.
And yeah, Splatoon definitely doesn't have any cheap jump scares. 10/10 game in every way.
Until Dawn had tons of cheap jump scares, especially at the start of the game. It seemed like every 5 minutes there would be a jump scare, only for you to realize it was just one of the main characters or a harmless animal jumping out at you. It's the most lazy method of scaring the player possible. Forget atmosphere, tension, and jump scares that are actually meaningful. Nah, we'll just have non-threatening things pop out at you from every corner. The game was great for the story and characters, but the actual horror elements were pretty meh a lot of the time.
It kinda sounds like this game could be similar, judging by this line: "Much like Until Dawn before it, The Inpatient cheats with its jump scares".
I didn't even know this game existed until recently, but I'm getting more and more excited for it. Games like this definitely have potential to be a poor man's Splatoon, but I think this one has a solid chance of being good at the very least.
@PS_Nation Ah, that's a major bummer. While I've never played their games (which will probably change soon), I can see they were a really talented company.
@Octane I see. Well, I might get it if I can find it cheap at some point. It's just one of those games where I have no idea if I would like it or not, so I don't think spending a lot of money on it would be the best idea.
@Octane Nah, I haven't played any of their games. (I think they're the same developers?)
It just doesn't look that fun to direct a big creature around that will randomly do whatever it wants and not listen, and the art style just looks kind of dreary and dull outside of the sunny sections, which I know is really superficial, but still.
No swimming around in dead demon goop or grinding on rails? Seems like a bit of a poor man's Splatoon, then. There's no reason they shouldn't include that.
I don't really understand why either one exists. If you want power, buy a PC. It will make sense if they're just trying to capitalize on the 4K TV market and future generations won't have these half-step consoles, but if this keeps happening, it'll be kind of weird. You would be better off to just buy a PC instead of spending like 1000+ on the regular console and then the Pro version after that every single generation.
@get2sammyb @BLP_Software @Ralizah It's a joke, but I think I'm pretty much the only one who finds it funny, haha. Check the comment sections in the De Blob and "What are your thoughts on Call of Duty as a whole?" articles if you care at all to understand it.
@Octane I would have never thought of posting that about games that are totally unlike Splatoon if you hadn't done it first though, so you basically did, lol.
@Tasuki It's a joke, lol. I commented it on the De Blob article as a serious post, and then @Octane did the same thing on the Wolfenstein article, so blame him for starting this, not me.
@Ralizah Undoubtedly the game was funded by Trump in order to make America great again. And to be honest, I think he succeeded beyond his wildest dreams. GOTY right here.
@BAMozzy That's probably true. Maybe I'm just bored with first person shooters in general, lol.
I'm sure for people who enjoy the genre, they'll really notice the changes, but for me it just feels kind of same-y.
I don't really bother with the campaigns at all either, and I stopped playing the new CODs right around Ghosts, so that probably didn't help change my opinion that the series wasn't changing in many significant ways.
I bought a standard PS4, even after the Pro released, and I have no regrets. If I cared about having the best graphics and performance possible, I wouldn't be gaming on PlayStation in the first place. I'm just here for the exclusives.
It's really sad that we have to celebrate something like this. This is how all games should be, unless it's just cosmetic micro-transactions or something else benign like that.
Normally I find it pretty cringy when people beg for Japanese voices, but I think it would work really well in this game. It would be nice if there was an option for people to choose either English or Japanese, depending on their tastes.

@dark_knightmare2 I'm not being serious, lol. It's a joke.
@Johnnycide Heresy!
Re: Poll: What Year Should Sony Launch the PS5?
No way would I buy one in 2018. I just got my PS4 like 10 months ago.
Re: Sony Surveying Gamers on the DualShock 4
@ellsworth004 That's probably the most accurate description, yes.

Plus, the battery is pathetic.

Re: Hands On: The Inpatient Shares Until Dawn's Penchant for Jump Scares
@AFCC Yeah, same. The game is definitely great, just not so much for its horror elements.
Re: Hands On: The Inpatient Shares Until Dawn's Penchant for Jump Scares
@AFCC Yeah, for sure. If I wanted that, I'd go to a haunted house in real life or something.
Re: Game of the Month: Top 4 PlayStation Games of October 2017
@Rudy_Manchego Ah, that's a bummer. No game has done pretty much anything as well as Splatoon yet.
Re: Game of the Month: Top 4 PlayStation Games of October 2017
All I bought last month was Mario Odyssey. Everything else was a bit of a poor man's Splatoon IMO, although Wolfenstein looks pretty good.
Re: L.A. Noire Remaster Does Away with Its Often Confusing Trust, Doubt, Lie System
@FullbringIchigo Anything's better than that monstrosity. Definitely a poor man's Splatoon.

Never played it. I might have to consider it. It certainly looks cool.
I just hope it doesn't turn out to be a poor man's Splatoon.
Re: Hands On: DOOM VFR Cleverly Keeps You on the Move in PlayStation VR
@SMKpaladin Pretty much.

Re: Review: Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds (PS4)
@clvr Yeah the initial ones didn't really, but I'm trying to be a little more clever with it. We'll see how it goes I guess, lol.
Re: Review: Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds (PS4)
@clvr I couldn't think of a reason to give it one, but now I can in hindsight.
Oh well, I'll be ready next time, lol.
Re: BioWare Celebrates Ten Years of Mass Effect with N7 Day 2017
R.I.P Mass Effect. Yet another series killed by EA.
Re: Hands On: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Has Improved Massively with PlayStation VR
I would love to play this if I hadn't already put well over 1000 hours into the game and if I owned a PSVR.

That said, I'll take the PS4 for the exclusives.
Re: Guide: The Best PS4 Open World Games
Skyrim should be higher. One of the most detailed open worlds ever, with tons of secret stuff to find.
Should certainly be higher than Fallout 4, anyway. That game's world is pretty much the poor man's version of Splatoon's world.

Never have been and never will be a Sonic fan. Pretty much the poor man's Splatoon.
Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Submits to PS4 on 2nd February
I find these games pretty boring. I'll stick to the real life version of combat sports.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 193
Super Mario Odyssey.
Re: Review: Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back (PS4)

Maybe I'll get it a few years from now when the game costs like 20 bucks.
Re: Poll: What Are Your Thoughts on Call of Duty as a Whole?
@Wesker That's for sure. I know tons of people IRL who are pretty casual but really like COD.

Re: Maybe Don't Buy Star Wars Battlefront 2 at Launch
I'm not buying it ever. EA can go die in a hole.
Re: Round Up: Call of Duty: WWII PS4 Reviews Take to the Trenches
Not gonna bother. World War II has been done to death, and IMO, if you've played one COD, you've played them all.
