Yes and No.

Even with physical, I tend to immediately sell games when I finish with them and move on to the next thing (unless I plan on replaying them, I think my entire shelf is just Souls games and a copy of Returnal)

However, it does not work for gamers to have a licence for a 100 hour JRPG revoked from your subscription when you are 35 hours into it.

I'm not a big comic book guy but I'm surprised that they jumped at the chance after the pretty poor Suicide Squad (2016) movie. That would have put me off

Wonder if someone on staff really loved the property or warner really sold it to them or what.

I dont know if anyone has been to a GAME in the last few years, but they pretty much mostly sell Plushies, V-Bucks and Funkos now.

Even a decade ago I think their shelves were more filled with Skylanders figurines than actual video games. No big loss.

Also Mike Ashley owns it now, and quite honestly he can go REDACTED himself with a large iron rod

Honestly, I'm not going to buy a Xbox. I do not have room for it under my TV. I'm not against the idea, but I already have a PS5 under there. If they do this, Microsoft will get £60 from me they otherwise wouldn't get. It's up to them if they want it.

As someone who Platinumed Lies of P, I massively agree. Cannot wait for the DLC and Lies of P 2.

However, I keep seeing Lies of P praised in the same sentence as Lords of the Fallen.

Did we play the same game? I thought it was a buggy ugly mess. The framerate is atrocious, a lot of the design of the areas is pretty poor in my opinion. Ugly world, boring worldbuilding. Poor story. Only a few interesting bosses. Multiplayer pretty busted on launch.

I didnt play the original LOTF game but if this game vastly improves on it, jesus, LOTF (2014) must have been borderline unplayable.

You do not get lauded for fixing something you launched broken. Period.

At best you repair your reputation to pre-launch state. Personally, the assumption is now their next game will launch busted too and it will eventually be playable 3 years later.

Next game launched successfully puts their reputation on track to where it was prior to 2077s launch.

It's truly fantastic and deserves any accolade it gets. A definite sufferer from the 2023 glut of good games, insane to think It Takes Two won GOTY at the game awards a few years back, P (and most of this years top 10) are strides above it

As a person with a vr headset, id say combining a live service model, where the challenge is pulling your audience away from other billion dollar franchises like fortnite, and VR where your audience is much smaller than the traditional audience, is why you failed.

@Porco it's been sold out since launch, I think, at this moment in time, you can at least consider the launch a success. Might be a different picture in August but for now, yes, it is a success

Honestly, some folks here forget that this is a niche hobbyist website.

It is a massive get to have GTA V for free, the month that a bunch of casual players will receive their (potentially first) PlayStation console.

That's an instant subscription in sonys pocket for every single hardware purchase I imagine, one that might be renewed every year in perpetuity

It would need Team Battle to be considered the best Tekken game ever.

As of now, it has not been announced, and therefore will always be considered inferior to Tekken entries that have it

@Nem Yeah its a shame. I wouldnt even mind if it was just a PS4 version but its locked to PS3 and I dont want to stream it on NOW, its a bad experience imo.

I think its a fantastic game, but I have absolutely no interest in playing this on "mega hard mode". I just dont think the gameplay suits it, for me it was more of a story game.

I liked the combat in the Saga sections but the Alan sections I found it pretty dull and just wanted to get to the next story beat.

Nice to see so much Lies of P love, I was thinking "I must be crazy" because its my top game too, but nice to see is resonated with plenty of people.

Happy to see some Aliens: Dark Descent love too, I'm super curious about it will definitely have to pick it up with all the love I see here.

This game seems explicitly designed around coop play that they forgot to add.

Most of my vote splits between BG3 and Alan Wake.
I think Spiderman is really great but just cant keep up with the others.

I feel really bad for Lies of P, in a normal year I think it had a real chance to pick up some gongs but the competiton is just too fierce for it

@Triumph741 when say it was low I meant because the competition for game story wasn't particularly strong, not because of the tech at the time.

Whereas I'd say now, stories like God of Wars rival those of some movies and TV shows.

@Th3solution can only speak for the original trilogy but they were strong for the time (2006-2011) although it was a pretty low bar back then

This is honestly a good move.

I downloaded the Witcher 3 GOTY edition on PS4, and then upgraded to the PS5 version when they announced a next gen version.

You cant import your save from the base version into this version so I had to start again. I dont have time to replay a 100 hour game again, and I dont need a second trophy set for the same game. One SKU is the way.

I always assumed this studio made Journey to the Savage Planet and apparently they didn't, so probably a smart re-brand on their part here.

Uninterested in all 3 of these, good stuff by GB as usual

Hope this is good for them because I've been playing Synapse and it is probably one of the best PSVR2 titles I've played.

I was surprised by the reviews so went to pick one up and found this.

Thing is, scalpers will never succeed with this product I feel. I just don't really need it honestly. The lack of stock doesn't push me to a scalper, it just makes me shrug and go about my day.

10 bucks is a good price for me to play the new mode and happy to have it on my collection when I eventually do a full replay of the series after the show finishes.

It'll probably just be tacked on additional missions and skins to unlock post-game, or some sort of infinite mode like Shadow of War has.
