Of course we all want new content, but some stuff has been decently ported in my opinion. Ie Skyrim. My longest bout of VR was a 4-5 hour stint in Skyrim. Sure it could be better, but it was still worth taking an arrow to the knee
I’d rather have some AAA full game ports than a lack of content
@Luigia agreed… Sony had a patent for wireless tech for VR, perhaps the cost or functionality wasn’t viable. I think if it was also wireless it would seal the deal for them as a game changer.
Regardless looking forward to the upgrades. People forget at the least it’s a second screen so someone else can use the tv while you are on it. If you factor in cost of a display it makes it already worth it in my household.
@kejsi-sensei well said… gas, food, basic living has gone up… luxury products that people don’t “need” going up? Yeah duh?! Sucks but it is the unfortunate reality.
@Voltan ever thought of creating a PSN account for a different country? (In addition to your current profile) not that you’re that desperate. Just an idea.
Not sure it would work with a beta involved with the UI, but I’ve done it to visit other countries PSN stores. Just been a while.
@nomither6 haha yeah Tiz the season. There’s been several, but it would have to be the worst one in recorded history to wipe out digital records. We’d all probably be dead.
@RedRiot193 I’m sure some of that brightness can be tweaked on the TV side. But I have to agree in some regard… I always liked deeper blacks, less washed out scenes, less light and softer edges in some cases. (Which I know lighting can do too) Always played pc stuff with AA off… never liked the sharpness in most games. Felt more realistic to me a little smudged over. Personal preference I’d assume.
@playstation1995 common sense award PS1995! If people are upset at the price they probably played it already! So just wait… naughty dog deserves their money and for folks who haven’t played the remaster, since ps3 or at all I’d say it’s worth it. One of the better games of all time from a solid dev!
And you’re absolutely right!!!!! Who doesn’t have an insane backlog nowadays?!
To someone who’s never played it? Yes For someone who hasn’t played it for a couple of generations? Probably For someone who played the remaster? Probably not unless discounted.
This is where some blockchain proof of ownership would come in really handy. Giving a discount for loyalty and ownership
That being said… we’ve all seen the dark side of development teams, pay, long hours etc… if anyone deserves a chunk of change for their product it’s Naughty Dog. TLOU is one of the best games I’ve played. Can’t have cheaper games and the people working on them making what they deserve at the same time. I’d rather pay more for games than involve micro transactions any day of the week
@GamingFan4Lyf as much as I’ve loved the GTA series and RDR
It’s a bummer Rockstar sort of got locked into GTAs success. It’s been obvious Red Dead got left at the curb when it comes to online continuity. Perhaps they eventually make an offshoot company that doesn’t take away from their investors expectations of GTA6.
Like Rockstar said… they have to exceed peoples expectations. Wouldn’t want to be on their end especially in this day n age.
Though I thought it was somewhat unnecessary, it’s nice to hear it’s getting NDs special attention to detail. Like FROM software they are one studio that’s never compromised my trust in their effort.
Not sure I’m motivated to fork out $$ for a game I’ve recently played however. Awesome for the folks who haven’t played it though! Can’t say I’m not interested.
Life has become too fast for peoples brains to process. And unfortunately I don’t see any sort of slow down. Maybe one day the media will be held accountable for not doing their homework. But in the meantime they rarely get any consequence
@neitan I had the stick drift too on the dualsense. It happened after a controller firmware update. For me the fix was fully powering down my console instead of just rest mode. Never had the issue again.
The problem I’m having now is a sticky triangle button. And on top of that
One of my controllers is unresponsive in apps but works in the general UI. So weird.
@Perturbator would be nice if they could incorporate a program like VorpX for PSVR2. Leaving folks to experiment with older games and just adding some uniqueness to them
And expect maybe 1.5games being worthwhile the entire year.
Pays for the price of admission. And I get to try a bunch of stuff I’d Prb never pay for. Bunch of spoiled brats with too much time on their hands in my opinion.
@Matthewnh give me this in black flag 2 with unreal engine 5 or improved frostbite engine whatever they use nowadays I don’t know. Throw in some actual character development and a memorable story. Take away some of the overwhelming icon littering
@TheArt yeah… power off vs just rest mode. Fixed the drift for me. You might also try to reset the actual controller and re pair it. But I just did the power off thing vs rest mode once and it fixed it. Was shortly after a controller update too. So I’m thinking that had something to do with the drift in retrospect.
I’m sure there are other reasons people are getting controller drift.
Now I’m dealing with a sticky triangle button on one of my controllers. (And there’s no reason for it to be sticky). I blame Ubisoft and having to collect all that junk in AC Valhalla though.
@TheArt had the same problem!!!! What fixed it for me was a full power down after one of the controller updates. Never happened again. I had always just put it in rest mode.
So far the only thing that’s bugged me is Aloys hair
It moves around like an octopus on crack sometimes
Like they were trying to showcase it. Seems too light weight wise. I can’t help but wonder if they weighted it a bit more and calmed it down would it free up rendering resources for 4k60fps
From what I remember hair takes a ton of resources to render.
@eagletrippin What VR experiences and or games have you tried that made you nauseous? I know it can happen with anyone, but there are several reasons as to why it might be happening and or ways to mitigate it.
One, for instance, when I tried the PSVR at a local shop on demo trying to decide whether or not to buy it I had a bad experience. I ended up buying it anyway and after calibrating it to my eyes and head etc it was no longer blurry and a pleasure ergonomically. Made me realize the person fitting me had zero training and or understanding of the importance of this.
@Juanalf hopefully they send out some sort of invite for purchase to folks that have had their PS5 and or original PSVR for a while. Would be a great way to get the ball rolling scalper free.

Re: Sony Confirms PSVR2's Release Date for Early 2023
Now if Sony would create some tiered system of adoption to negate scalpers
Ie if you owned psvr 1 and now you have a ps5 and want psvr 2 you get first dibs
Link it to active consoles too

Where’s an EMP or class X solar flare when you need one?
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Stray?
@Oopsyloopsy91 I dropped some battery pack in between checkpoints. It somehow got stuck behind a bed
Lost about 20m of gameplay
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Stray?
Good, but not enough for me to race home, not shower, diet, and itch to play at any given time.

I don’t even care for the horror genre, but it’s just so good for VR

Re: What Remains of Edith Finch PS5 Version Supposedly in the Works
Phenomenal story telling, but definitely not a game for everyone or even considered a game by some
Hoping they release a VR version with PSVR2! Personally I loved it.

Re: Dragon's Dogma Is Ten Years Old Today
@JudgeDredd didn’t play it until a few years ago
Binged hard on it. Gameplay was so great. Would get a sequel in a heartbeat.
Only criticism I’d say is the story and characters could have been a bit better. But again the gameplay easily made up for it.
A great action RPG for sure.
Re: Red Dead Online Not Abandoned, Take-Two Boss Says He's 'Heard the Frustration'
@MFTWrecks Arthur
There’s a settlement that needs your help
Lol
Re: Red Dead Online Not Abandoned, Take-Two Boss Says He's 'Heard the Frustration'
@Germs73 too common sense of an idea there Germs. Haha. That would’ve been great
Even co-op against bots. There’s so many things they could’ve added I don’t get it
Re: Red Dead Online Not Abandoned, Take-Two Boss Says He's 'Heard the Frustration'
All I ever wanted was the undead nightmare zombie horde co-op mode wave game
Plenty of other potential but could’ve at least had that ready to go
Re: PS5 Fans Hope Mind Blowing Unreal Engine 5 Demo Is a Glimpse of the Future

Re: Video: Please, Sony - We Need These PSVR2 Games

VR or 3D. For platformers 3D is fun.
Re: Video: Please, Sony - We Need These PSVR2 Games
@dasd2 but then they say something and because of the chip shortage and delayed release everyone will complain that they revealed stuff too early.
Re: Video: Please, Sony - We Need These PSVR2 Games
Resident Evil Village.
I don’t even like horror games, but to this day RE7 in VR was one of the better VR games I’ve enjoyed across 3 HMDs
Re: Hands On: Matchpoint: Tennis Championships Could Be the Ace We've Been Waiting For
@twenty90seven I would do the same… sometimes it would be a mere leaf on the court and I’d focus on it for some shots.
Re: Hands On: Matchpoint: Tennis Championships Could Be the Ace We've Been Waiting For
Some might hate this comment, but
I wouldn’t mind more players aaaand
An unlockable trick shot fatality mode
Guarantee it would sell more… and possibly become an E-Sport

Re: Skull & Bones Finally Resurfaces Thanks to Leaked Gameplay Footage
@Kooky_Daisuke my thoughts exactly… somethings going to make up for all the cost and development time.

Re: Video: What's Going on with The Last of Us 2's PS5, PS4 Multiplayer Mode?
@colt3211 Naughty Dog can take all the time they want and have as many delays as they want in my opinion. Deserved

@TheArt had the same problem!!!! What fixed it for me was a full power down after one of the controller updates. Never happened again. I had always just put it in rest mode.

Re: Sony's Releasing a PS4 System Update to Fix Cyberpunk 2077 Disc Issues
PS5 digital version has crashed 3 times on me now since update. The last crash shut my PS5 off during just trying to start the game.
Freaked me out a little

Re: Most Anticipated PS5, PS4 Games of 2022
@Futureshark I hate it when that happens. And after winter break such an insult to my free time haha
Re: Most Anticipated PS5, PS4 Games of 2022
1. Elden Ring
2. God of War Ragnarok
3. Horizon
4. Dying Light 2
5. Little Devil Inside
Bring it on
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Games for January 2022?
@Happychocobo Persona 5 Strikers and Deep Rock Galactic basically takes care of the year for me as far as me finding the subscription worthwhile.
Everything after the fact is a bonus.
But does seem like a way to get some subs to start off 2k22.
Re: PS Plus Blocks Free Mortal Shell PS5 Upgrade
@HoodedSpirit great point
Guess they just kept me from ever playing their game
Re: PS Plus Blocks Free Mortal Shell PS5 Upgrade
Bunch of crap. I would’ve even paid $10 for the upgrade and to find out I can’t even do that I’m not even going to play it now. F you Sony
