@somnambulance I think you got some bad luck but aren’t the only one. Though I wouldn’t give it a 10 because I’ve become a little pickier I’m still having it at a solid 9+.
I did run into a couple significant bugs that forced a reload but ended up discovering all sorts of stuff going back through things anyway.
Hope it works out for you two if you give it another go
@Brydontk I found a book under a random rock that I decided to pick up and throw in act 1 by the blighted city.
Hence now I loot and sell literally everything , break everything, and spend time throwing rocks and boxes too. The devs probably counted that in their playtime comments haha
I’ve ran into a couple game breaking bugs one with a main questline that forced a reload a few hours prior
The good thing is… it’s the type of game you’ll likely find stuff you missed if that happens
Overall, gameplay, graphics, story = high 9 Inventory management is a little hefty And just the few bugs that have forced a reload are my only gripes so far.
A top 5 RPG of all time for me though. It’s fantastic
Good enough to easily be a Netflix series. Good enough for me to find myself curtailing the day around just trying to loot some stuff and get back to work. Good enough for me to lose optimal sleep. Good enough to get people into the genre that otherwise wouldn’t be… Good enough to be GoTY
@Splat franchise mode was my only enjoyment out of the madden series.
For anyone on here QUESTION
can you edit and or add players in after a first season of franchise mode? Retire players and still view retired players stats to compare to current players? Set records Ie career passing yards and view them for a retired player? And inch towards them with players still active in your franchise mode?
These are a few of the things I enjoyed but they seemingly took it out long ago and I never bought madden again.
It’s a bit much and I wouldn’t doubt they release a remake or full remaster at some point. Personally I’d want a remake with some RDR2 bells and whistles plus 60fps so going to hold out.
People like to get all up in arms about the cost, but those are a bunch of the same people griping about work conditions and pay for some of these animators, artists and coders… so if they wanna milk a few $$ from folks then go for it. Sure it’s makin money for the devs but it’s also putting food on peoples plates.
I’ll always consider the mileage I get from a game at home vs the arcade and it’s exponentially cheaper.
I’ve been geeking out on this game on PC so much I might have to get it again for ps5. So well done. Refreshing to play an rpg where I actually want to read everything.
@KaijuKaiser I personally don’t care about CoD. That being said I found some metrics on how many PS users play it and it’s quite a lot. So I could see why it would be threatening.
It’s too bad there just couldn’t be some sort of stipulation for acquisition of a large dev that their previously cross gens IPs remain ultimately cross gen. Or a timed exclusive for the owner if it was an acquired company with over X number of sales for popular IPs.
I wish Sony would’ve somehow leveraged Bethesdas Elder Scrolls and Fallout in this Activision buyout. Ie keep those as simply timed exclusives since they’ve been available across the board the whole time and we’ll step back from you buying Activision.
Xbox has needed some big hitters so I’m not entirely against their acquisition of other devs, but walling off previously hugely popular IPs is where I don’t like it. If it was a new IP like Starfield that’s one thing. Go ahead keep it.. but to deprive us of future fallouts and elder scrolls. Arrrrghhhh
Maybe I missed it in an article but if you have it downloaded it won’t play? Or just can’t download beyond tomorrow? Guess it does say you must buy games to continue playing. Darn
I felt this could’ve been the YouTube of games and game creation. Not sure if there’s plans for it, but a PS5/PSVR2 version would be a welcome addition. And I like the idea of throwing it on PS Plus right away.
Perhaps they could even incentivize creators somehow. Ie if they made something that’s played x amount of times or meets certain criteria they could pass out PSN game codes, gift cert codes, and or a chunk of money could go to the devs.
There still is so much potential with this concept.
@ShowerThoughts they took my favorite rpg series of all time in the 80’s and 90’s (Ultima) only to bring it back as a monetized mobile game!!!! Arrrrggggggghhh ruined. That and been waiting on Madden for a decade now to show me something worthwhile after they ruined franchise mode for me.
Sucks when these big wigs companies buy out or sell out a good game and just run it with it off the name
Got way more than the price of admission with Diablo 3. But given the landscape and backlog of other games can’t justify the price tag or the time at the moment.
On another note. The always online thing is still a stickler for me. Perhaps at some point
Great game agree with the pros and cons. There was an overall emptiness to the amount you could interact with, but I loved the game. Couldn’t help but make me thirsty for a more full AAA sci fi rpg adventure with this world. One of these days some developer is going to take the plunge and give us a Skyrim or Mass Effect length game made for VR.
This game did a phenomenal job of immersing me in “sci fi”. Getting to that planet with the tram was when it hit me. Awesome
@SgtTruth I hear that! Super well done game, but personally I don’t care as much about the physical immersion as I do the visual. So would like the option to utilize just the regular controller on some of these games too. Granted I’m moving all day and usually only have time at night for VR.
But overall there’s only so much time in the day and it’s basically like playing another console. So not expecting it to replace the regular platform games.
I think sometimes people are comparing it to how much they play regular games like It’s supposed to take over that entirely or something
Love PSVR 2, but there has been a little dry patch as far as content goes. RE8 Walking Dead and HCotM were all good. RE8 fantastic in other words.
Looking forward to Hubris and Red Matter 2 though
If anyone hasn’t yet please leave feedback on your YouTube account telling Google to support YouTube for psvr 2.
I also left feedback for them to give us google earth and a Where in the World is Carmen San Diego co-op game using google earth. That would be awesome in VR
Only thing that changed my mind on outright getting it was the always online and seasonal aspect of it. Just feels like chasing the carrot to me when games do that but I see the appeal for others.
I’ve only noticed Ray tracing in a few games while playing them. It has yet to be worth the frame rate drop. Maybe once it doesn’t chew up the frame rate so significantly it’ll be more promising, but I can’t think of anything I’ve played where I left it on.
The landscape is a bit dry when it comes to psvr2 content
I suppose I could play some 2D content but when you get that good VR game it’s hard to not want more.
So far resident evil 8 is my tops Horizon CoTM was a good showcase but a bit on rails Just started Retribution (have smacked myself in the head trying to stab zombies several times) enjoying it so far Other than that haven’t tried GT and find myself looking at stuff I’d never look at just because I’m craving content. With PSVR 1 some of the most gaming I got in was with RE7, NMS an outdated Skyrim So wouldn’t mind ports if we’ll done and it just helped fill the content void.
I do wonder/hope there is a lot of statistics with each activity. Nothing like trying to beat all sorts of personal bests Ie reaction time, accuracy, timing etc.
Could totally see how this would be good for reaction time and situational awareness.

Re: Apple Insinuates iPhone 15 Pro Will Be a Better Games Console Than PS5, PS4
I doubt anyone is going to get an iPhone for gaming
Nice bonus though along with all the benefits and features of a phone.
Especially with some of the plans and deals available through carriers.
Easy stream to the TV with a blue tooth connected controller. All for trying it.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Baldur's Gate 3?
@somnambulance dang… sounds like you got a really bad roll of the dice. Buddy if mine only does co-op and has had zero issues. That sounds annoying
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Baldur's Gate 3?
9.3 for me
At about 105hrs in tail end of act 2

@PixelDragon smart decision. It’s one of those games where I know once it’s done… everything else is just going to suck for about a month afterwards.

Re: PlayStation Portal Is Sony's PS5 Remote Play Handheld, Priced at $200 / £200
I don’t get the point of this. Why buy something that’s only good for streaming when I could do the same on any tablet?
Admittedly haven’t read much into it so maybe I’m missing some key info here.
If it could download games that’s another story, but why Sony?

@Mel44alpha ah dungeon master
Those were the days
My personal favorite was the Ultima series. Especially 6 & 7

@CaptD that would be flat out amazing
Re: Avatar: The Last Airbender: Quest for Balance Bends the Elements on PS5, PS4 in 2023

The Last Airbender is perfect for VR

@zebric21 I enjoyed Days Gone more than Horizon Forbidden West. Without a doubt
Re: Site News: Vote for the Best Game of All Time with the Push Square Community
@DrVenture69 I tried Grimrock for the Dungeon Master nostalgia. But felt some things are better left for memory ya know?
Was it me or were some of those opening levels exactly Dungeon Master levels?
Re: Site News: Vote for the Best Game of All Time with the Push Square Community
@DrVenture69 I remember using graph paper to map out the dungeons on Dungeon Master. Was such a great game.
Re: Site News: Vote for the Best Game of All Time with the Push Square Community
@Jettstyles EA came out with some Ultima mobile game that was an insulting cash grab
The only way they could make it up to me is a full AAA VR remake haha
Re: Site News: Vote for the Best Game of All Time with the Push Square Community
Ultima 7 The Black Gate

Re: Diablo 4's Max Level Will Take Most Players 150 Hours to Hit
@TripleKing333 my thoughts exactly
Bums me out it’s always online and turned a sure buy into a 50/50 buy considering there’s tons of other stuff to play
Though I really did enjoy the beta
Re: PSVR2 Sales May Actually Be Stronger Than Has Been Suggested
@KaijuKaiser I’ve loved it so far. Though there’s not much on the horizon game wise that I’m itching for.
Re: PSVR2 Sales May Actually Be Stronger Than Has Been Suggested
@GrimReaper a miracle for it to be supported a little over a year from now!?
Come on lol
It might not be the smashing success everyone thinks but this sounds straight out of the “PC gaming is dead, VR is dead, etc” bag of 5 years ago
Re: Diablo 4 Is Changing a Lot Based on Beta Feedback, Full List Revealed

Re: Media Molecule to Cease Live Service for Dreams, Now Working on a New Project
@Jswift56 would have been nice
And a psvr2 update
Really surprised it never got a bit more shine. Felt like it had the potential to be the YouTube of indie gaming.
Re: Mini Review: Creed Rise to Glory: Championship Edition (PSVR2) - Boxing Upgrade Bests Predecessor
Coincidentally
I accidentally bought this last night not realizing it was in my cart.
Yes a little surprised no headset haptics. Oh well. I’ve spent more on fast food
Re: Rumour: Unannounced Sony Hardware in the Works, Releasing Before PS5 Pro
The only reason I’d want any sort of handheld is if it was an untethered AR/VR device of some sort
But then I’d assume we’d have evidence of that
A couple years ago Sony had a patent for an untethered VR device. Then again, there’s lots of patents that never make reality. (Pun?)

Adding them after release is super shady
Seen way worse with MTs
