Cracking on with my first play through of Alan Wake, absolutely loving it, really good story so far, just makes me want to keep playing it to find out where it goes so no doubt I will finish it and crack on with the DLC!!
Will definitely check this out, I too was a bit put off by the 32 episodes but having watched the 'Double Fine Adventure' I was hoping for more of the same as that was excellent and it seems just that
Will hopefully finish Like A Dragon Ishin, should have had it done by now but the weather has stalled my gaming time! I'm towards the end of chapter 13, great game makes me want to start Judgement 2.
More Like A Dragon Ishin, chapter 10 now so not far, the story is excellent and it has got my appetite wet for Lost Judgement having picked that up but never started it! Enjoy the sunshine folks and happy gaming
@liathach Couldn't agree more mate, it really is great value IMO. Streaming PS5 games would be excellent and would tie in with the rumored hand held streaming device if that ever happens, really looking forward to tonight's showcase, should be a good one 🤞
Can't remember the exact price but premium is was about £10 a year more than extra so I am sure (like myself) it was a case of why not when most people subbed. Times are hard so some might not re-sub but I doubt it will make a huge dent to the total given the small cost.
Carrying on with my Like a Dragon Ishin play through, brilliant game, mad side quests as always! Resisting Zelda TotK for now but I will be trying out Humanity over the weekend too!
Now it is in shops to buy, I intend to purchase one soon. I really enjoyed my PSVR 1 (not the setting up) so can't wait to move onto this shiny piece of hardware!
@MattBoothDev He was class in Fringe, great show. My first introduction to Lance was OZ, he didn't come into it until the later series but he immediately had presence and that walk certainly fit well as an under cover cop in jail!!
@maybemaybemaybe Spot on mate, a football ticket is near £70 and that is for 90 minutes (maybe 95 these days).
I probably buy less day ones these days as it stings a bit more if they turn out a bit sh*t but I consider most purchases to be worth while considering time spent!
Excellent, great studio and I loved Days Gone, shame we won't get a second for quite some time (if at all) as the story still has plenty to give. As others have said the freaker hordes were superb, I will never forget the saw mill one, the sound of all those freakers chasing you was pretty horrible - love it.
I am still on my first play through of Like A Dragon Ishin and it's brilliant, only on chapter 4 as I keep getting distracted by side content but it's really funny - great game!
I was burnt by Hired Gun which was absolutely rubbish, I had it preordered (never again) and will now just wait. Looks good & I want to get it but I said that last time!!
They definitely made me smile whilst playing Concrete Genie, really good little game with a nice story. Platinum-ed it but never tried it in VR, might boot up the PSVR over the weekend just to try it
@Ravix a proper Max Payne is a good shout, I think you could also do a Far Cry game in the style of Apocalypse Now, proper jungle warfare and trippy head f*ck scenes, could be awesome. Imagine Lynch doing an Elden Ring film, the monsters would be spectacular!
Finished Saints Row last night, mindless fun but some really fun missions. Today though I will be starting Like A Dragon Inshin and I can't wait, only played judgement before (no main line Yakuza games) and loved that one so got high hopes especially after the reviews.
@northaldinho I loved the Ascent, really good game, good world & story, gun play is excellent, glad you are enjoying it as I think a lot of people missed out on that gem!
@themightyant I personally would love a Disco Elysium movie but it would have to be directed by someone such a Lynch who could to justice to the more trippy strange sections of the game (which is most of it). It is a bit out there I accept but anything in that world would be awesome IMO.
Great news, I can now try this, I can't touch Far Point in VR which is supposed to be a decent game because it has alien like spiders which jump at you - no thanks I think I would be the first person to die in the real world from a VR experience 😂
@Recover20 Same here dude, those things we horrible rolling around on all fours 😨
This is useful, developers are getting much better with accessibility and rightly so. I think the audio ping might be a good option for collectables if that is what it is for, some of them were tricky in the first one!
Great news, I was really interested anyway and if it is cheap to buy I might also do that down the line to support the studio but good to know I don't have to straight away
I managed to finish RE4 this week and it is one of the few times I honestly just wanted to start it all over again straight away! I think I will do a few more runs later in the year but I've got to crack on with back log now before Jedi Survivour. Need to finish off Metroid Prime on the Switch and get back to Dredge on the PS5!
Pleased with Kena and Paradise Killer, always wanted to try that one out. No idea when I will play them but hopefully one day before they leave the service!!
@Panic_Attache Hi Mate, you have probably tried this and it is a while since I finished it but if I remember correctly the best source I found was the grims (pain in the back side). Think they are mainly in Svartalfheim!!
@RemembersGems Agreed mate, lost hours to this game on the SNES with a multi-tap. This and Mario Kart were the go to games when mates were around - good times
More RE4 for me, I'm on chapter 13 now so not long left, brilliant game, gets stressful managing resources with so many enemies but it is great fun and make you think a bit harder about how to go about it. Plus the cache cases are a game in themselves! Hopefully get that finished off then try out a bit of Mercenaries with a bit of Dredge in between.
No Wi-Fi no buy unfortunately, I don't want to rely on having and internet connection. Love my Switch but I am really tempted by the Steam Deck for this reason!
RE4 for me, really enjoying it (didn't play the original) shout out for Dredge though, something completely different and wasn't on my radar until I read the review here.
9 for me, haven't finished it yet and didn't play the original but I am really enjoying my time with it so far. I am tempted to go back and try RE2 remake after this.
More RE4 for me, absolutely brilliant game and intense at times, lost count of the amount of times I have scraped through an area with a sliver of health!
Playing it and loving it, never played the original but I can see why it is appreciated so much and also why Village was such a success at it has village vibes so far!
It is RE4 for me, first time playing it so a fantastic experience so far, I can see why this is so highly regarded I really liked 2 but this one is more on the action side so more up my street which is why I quite liked 5!
Don't forget the clocks go forward tonight, I could be gaming until day break
It is a good month, especially for those who don't have some of the Extra titles as there are some winners this month. I'm mostly looking forward to Goose game but also Rage 2, I have most of the others. Great month! Oh and Ridge Racer Type 4 is another winner

Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for July 2023?
Decent enough selection, Undertale is the one I am most interested in, The Ascent is excellent, don't sleep on this one folks.
Will be interesting to see if Twisted Metal still holds up!
Re: FTC Fails to Delay Microsoft's $69 Billion Buyout of Activision Blizzard
@Splat This, spot on mate. Our best games of the last few years have been exclusives, on wards and upwards.
I was more gutted about Bethesda than this one, no Wolfenstein or Doom
Re: 18 More Games Join PS Plus Extra, Premium Next Week
@IndoorEnthusiast Agreed, fantastic game really enjoyed it, so much so I went for the plat.
Undertale & Twisted Metal pleases me too.
Re: Feature: Your Top 10 PS5, PS4 Games of 2023 So Far
@Anke Yep, Dredge made my top 3, shame it wasn't in the poll as it was completely refreshing and different from anything else this year so far!!
Re: Soapbox: Stop What You're Doing and Watch Double Fine's PsychOdyssey Right Now
Will definitely check this out, I too was a bit put off by the 32 episodes but having watched the 'Double Fine Adventure' I was hoping for more of the same as that was excellent and it seems just that
Re: Talking Point: What Are Your Favourite PS5, PS4 Games of 2023 So Far?
Only played 2 off this list, shame Dredge didn't get a mention as it is excellent and makes my top 3 so far. FFXVI, Jedi or SF6 next for me.
1 - RE 4 remake
2 - LaD Ishin
3 - Dredge
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 482
Cracking on with my play through of Prodeus, brilliant game but I'm nearing the end I fear!
Will also be playing Unit 13 on my Vita, what a system this was!
Happy gaming folks
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 481
@Link41x Love the Wolf Among Us, hope the second lives up to the quality of the first!
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for June 2023?
Good month for me, Inscryption, Rouge Legacy 2, Dodgeball Academia & Killzone are amongst the highlight for me!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 481
I have just started Prodeus on PS5, brilliant Doom like game, gun play feels great.
Happy gaming everyone!

Re: Sony's PS5 Remote Play Handheld Will Have Haptic Feedback, Adaptive Triggers
@get2sammyb I only did remote play on PS4 so like the old system will this need to be left in rest mode for remote play to work?
Re: Alan Wake 2 Is a Digital-Only Release, $60 on PS5
I understand the approach but this strategy makes it a no for me

The start up on PS5 is so fast it doesn't really count!
PS1 is clearly the winner here, iconic!!

I beat the base game and loved it but I have moved on now, similar to Frozen Wilds the DLC comes out too late for me to want to go back.

Re: God of War Ragnarok Update 4.01 Available Now on PS5, PS4, Here Are All the Patch Notes
@Panic_Attache That's a sh*tter, I haven't done a NG+ play through but how about grinding them in the Muspelheim trials? Plenty of beasts in those!
Re: God of War Ragnarok Update 4.01 Available Now on PS5, PS4, Here Are All the Patch Notes
