Re: Suicide Squad's Live-Service Content Isn't Designed to Take Over Your Life

ProfessorNiggle

They are constantly attempting to fan the flames out before they even appear, that is a red flag.

I have issues with the gameplay loop but the gameplay (movement, traversal, combat) looks fun, story is fun, live service elements aren't THAT intrusive. This game is likely to be a hit.

I just would've loved for this to be a SP game with a co-op online add on, like GTA. Because that gameplay loop of shoot purple thing and run across empty map just to do it again, with boss fights sprinkled in-between has no business being in a Rocksteady game or with those really good looking cinematics and story

Re: Rumour: Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag Remake Is Now In Active Development

ProfessorNiggle

Okay so now what was the point of Skull & Bones?? Like you've just spent a decade making a game just to end up remaking the starting point.

Plus why don't they go and make a smaller scale AC game that is easy cash money. We could be Edward Kenway in his latter years or any other Assassin that everyone wants to see, like they did in Mirage. All this stuff could be so more productive but no lets go remake a game that came out on PS3 & PS4 for the PS5. Ubisoft, Bethesda, Nintendo & Rockstar are ruining forward progression

Re: Pornhub Reveals 2023's Most Popular Video Game Characters

ProfessorNiggle

@CharlieChooChoo nah. The overt mentioning of the porn site is the issue I have, other than that it's a laugh. And don't act stupid, how regular and accessible is it for a kid to commit war crimes or shoot people after watching/playing violent games/movies vs developing a porn addiction after watching porn.

And before you come in with "people shoot people all the time after consuming violent media", I know it happens but at a very disproportional rate compared to the young people affected by porn consumption. I am very informed in that field.

Protect the children is all I'm saying

I'm not going to lie, I started viewing this site when I was a kid. I made this account after years and years of viewing articles. This isn't very appropriate to have on here. If a kid was browsing your site, which isn't an adult site, you are directly responsible for now triggering their porn curiosity from this article.

Re: Rumour: PS5 Pro Targeting September 2024, Will Have Proprietary Upscaling Tech

ProfessorNiggle

Sony's proprietary tech for upscaling is bound to be another checkerboard-like tech. Didn't vibe with the checkerboarding on PS4 Professional. I'm not convinced PS5 Pro's will be anywhere on the level of DLSS but probably comparable to FSR which isn't anything eye catching with all the blur and shimmer.

Still, looking forward to the update though. Current gen games running in a boost mode taking base PS5 games on fidelity mode with ray tracing to 4K 60fps? A fidelity mode that ups the detail to the max, ray tracing, smooth performance, VRR that actually kicks in at low FPS, will be very very interesting to see what features they add.

Re: Naughty Dog Has 'More Than One' Ambitious PS5 Single Player Game on the Way

ProfessorNiggle

Yeah it's weird not to see them release something new but we know when they drop a new game it's going to be incredible. Factions didn't work out, glad they chose sticking to what they're best at than live service. These days if you drop a multiplayer game, you need to support it for a long time, it's not worth it. Maybe instead of cancelling though it could've been given to another studio 🥲

Re: Could Marvel's Blade Come to PS5? Bethesda Declines to Comment

ProfessorNiggle

@Bamila your knowledge needs some updating. Sony don't own everything to do with Spider-Man. Marvel sold Spider-Man MOVIE rights to Sony in the 90s. They have nothing to do with anything else. When it comes to gaming media, Marvel Entertainment still own the rights to Spider-Man. It was licensed to Activision for eons and then taken off after Activision released poor movie tie-in games repeatedly.

They took the IP to various studios and settled on PlayStation's worldwide studios because of their track record of delivering top quality single player games. That's basically it. Nothing to do with Sony having control of the movie rights. As much as PlayStation and Insomniac are reaping the rewards, it could've easily been an Xbox Studio but they were quoted to have turned it down to focus on their internal IP 🤷
