Re: PS5 Is Entering the 'Latter Half of Its Life Cycle', Says Sony

ProfessorNiggle

Well it's almost 4 years old. Most generations are 8 years. First 4 years = early half of life cycle. Last 4 years = latter half.

Cross gen period for PS5 was too long in everyone's opinion. This won't stop in PS5 to PS6 launch. PS5 will get many cross gen games. As consoles get more powerful and are based on similar GPU architecture, with the majority difference between gens being clock speeds and number of CPU cores and CUs, the compatibility between each generation will increase and we get situations where games can run on both gens with the only difference being lower quality settings. Console gaming is going to be an expensive cage in the future, as they become more and more similar to PCs.

Re: Helldivers 2 (PS5) - The Best Co-Op Shooter on PS5

This is an absolute must have. I am so happy with the game so far.

And don't worry if you have no one to play with, my quick play matchmaking experience (when it's working) has been really positive. Worked well on launch then days after it's been a bit of a chore, which is very different to comments I'm seeing here. Yesterday alone was just too many disconnects, but found a good workaround though.

Re: Suicide Squad's Live-Service Content Isn't Designed to Take Over Your Life

ProfessorNiggle

They are constantly attempting to fan the flames out before they even appear, that is a red flag.

I have issues with the gameplay loop but the gameplay (movement, traversal, combat) looks fun, story is fun, live service elements aren't THAT intrusive. This game is likely to be a hit.

I just would've loved for this to be a SP game with a co-op online add on, like GTA. Because that gameplay loop of shoot purple thing and run across empty map just to do it again, with boss fights sprinkled in-between has no business being in a Rocksteady game or with those really good looking cinematics and story

Re: Rumour: Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag Remake Is Now In Active Development

ProfessorNiggle

Okay so now what was the point of Skull & Bones?? Like you've just spent a decade making a game just to end up remaking the starting point.

Plus why don't they go and make a smaller scale AC game that is easy cash money. We could be Edward Kenway in his latter years or any other Assassin that everyone wants to see, like they did in Mirage. All this stuff could be so more productive but no lets go remake a game that came out on PS3 & PS4 for the PS5. Ubisoft, Bethesda, Nintendo & Rockstar are ruining forward progression
