Re: Soapbox: I Tried So Hard to Like Elden Ring, But I Just Couldn’t Do It

I have to admit I feel much the same way. I haven't finished Elden Ring, I'm maybe half-way through, if that. I can't quite recall what brick wall I came up against, but I realised that I just wasn't having fun anymore. The game had beaten it out of me. I think there are many things to commend about Elden Ring, but personally speaking, none of it is enough of a draw for me to see it through to the end.

@Vovander There isn't really a tutorial, it's similar to the previous games. I will say that last year's story mode was a good in-road for new players, but that's not here this time.

@riceNpea Reviewed using a DualSense (the haptics and triggers implementation is fine but not mind-blowing, in case anyone is wondering). Totally hear you with regards to a wheel, though! We may have something on that front soon.

@Titntin If you just do a general search for it, you should find it. The various sections of the new Plus tiers are in a bit of disarray right now.

Edit: Read your comment properly! So aside from just doing a search, I've managed to find it. In the Games tab along the top, it then shows you every game on PS Plus, so sort by Z-A and then scroll down until you see it.

@Mauzuri My thinking there is just it would be nice to have the option, as it's something you're able to do in older Sonic compilations (I believe). Not a huge negative either way!

@Sinton As far as I understand, Classic mode uses the same version of the game as the Anniversary mode, just modified to reflect the originals (4:3, no drop dash, limited lives etc).

@RudeAnimat0r I'd say combat is less complex in TMNT but one thing it has over SoR4, in my opinion, is a dedicated dodge. That alone makes it more enjoyable for me.

This game isn't really about chasing high scores, although you can, but there aren't leaderboards or ranks. There are optional challenges and collectibles in each stage, and the story mode displays your best completion time for each level on the map screen.

To clarify: the list is actually based on the Push Square USER score, not our review scores. If you disagree with anything on the list and want things to change, get those user ratings in.
