@themcnoisy Right? "Was never that good to begin with" bah! I can still play through the original Sonic games any day and I still love them. That has never changed. There wasn't anything terrible wrong with those original MD games. ( I don't count 3D blast since it's a spin off. ) You know I can admit other platformers did some things better, but Sonic will still always be my favourite. Especially 3 & Knuckles. There's a good mix of fast and slower parts. Sonic feels good to control. The special stages were beatable and getting Super Sonic, and eventually Hyper Sonic felt rewarding and cool. That last boss in space. What a ride. It's not just nostalgia talking here. I've just not had a similar feeling in other games of the same type. I can proudly say I beat the game with all 3 characters 100%. Was totally worth it. I'd do it many more times.

2D Mario and Sonic is better than 3D. That's my opinion. That doesn't make all of the 3D games bad. Tho. Sonic just had to deal with more garbage. Unfortunately. This is all I ever wanted. Don't mind a new GOOD 3D title tho. Colours and Generations wasn't terrible. Why did it take them so long to understand that's what most people want? I'm so sad Boom sucked. If it was good we would have Sonic covering more types of gameplay than just running and jumping. But no. That wasn't meant to be.

Yes they do, they need trophies. And I hear some selfishness here. YOU may own many PS1 games already but most people don't. They either weren't born back then or have sold theirs ages ago. If we can have some good games back with cleaned graphics and trophies it would be something that anyone could have use of. I'm thinking the way FF7 was treated. Or at least the way the PS2 classics were treated. There are lots of games I've never played or at least not beaten on PS1. Bring some RPGs, some platformers, maybe a racing game or two. There were tons of Japan and US exclusives too us Europeans may never have touched. It's only fair that the bring some of those games back if they can't make a remake out of everything anyway.

They should put the Japanese voices on. Can the PS3 release and use the money towards quality CONTENT. In this case Japanese voices might matter more than ever. I could play a KH and FF game in English but Persona. I'd rather not. It's not even a matter of if the English cast is good. Just give it to me. I'll forgive their BS if they do.

@Flopsy Sounds like a children's "programme" does it? Someone sounds afraid of being caught with a diaper on. Although there's nothing childish about Zelda imo. Something being cartoony and for all ages doesn't mean it's childish. That said, not every Zelda game was that good. That's WHY we're excited now. Stop ruining people's hype. @brendon987 You can save everywhere. The game is not very long by todays standards but it's not super short either. Or that depends on if you know what to do and if you spend time grinding. All the puzzles are pretty much identical to the GB version.

The GBA remake is a better remake in almost every way but this stays true to the original in both content and gameplay. It's a matter of what you'd prefer. And it's not like the GBA version is available anymore so... I prefer the character designs in this. They are simple yes, but they are easier to accept. Don't know how to explain it. That was perhaps the single thing I hated about the GBA remake. This game goes for a much more perhaps timeless fairy tale look.

I think you SHOULD play this first if you haven't played a Mana game. Then you should go for the SNES games and finally the GBA remake/imagining of the first game. And if you still haven't had enough you can always try the GB original and the DS games. Wait, there's probably a PS1 game too that I personally haven't played yet.

Uh, opinions aside, Mana, it exists and it's back.

@chiptoon Apparently not. jk I dunno. They wanted to market the game to dudes 18-30 so they went with a dude character. Makes sense. But at the same time if you can make men and women enjoy a game you're the real winner. The game doesn't have to be full of pink glittery ponies for women to enjoy something. People, most people, understand that now. If you think it's worth your time why not make a playable female and male in your game. There doesn't have to be as many differences between them as some would suggest. In the case of these games, for an example, a commander is still a commander. They went through the same tests and got the same education. It's not insane to suggest they are about as equally though and professional. No matter what gender they are. Well, duh right?

@Feena Fair enuff' Personally if I get some classic retro games or indies in between I'm fine. That's enough changing up for me. Western games can be even more or a challenge keeping me focused as often I just don't care about the brown haired bearded main characters. Just as bad as the spiky hair teenage male trope if you ask me. Gameplay is important but is there's a story I rather spend the time with weird characters rather than someone I could see looking out the window. No "every man" main characters for me.

It's possible that games will play on both but have different locked framerates. I think the difference will often just be that. In rare cases Neo owners might be able to download a patch that betters some textures or something. But don't expect it for most games. Just the really big AAA games.

Mega Man 1-6 is already on PSN. That's better than no Mega Man because it's literally Mega Man.

I got to see Zelda. I couldn't be happier. It's the only thing in the world that makes me an angry fangirl when someone insults it. I've already seen 30 year olds calling it a PS1 or Wii game. Ha freaking ha. Obviously it's not gonna look as realistic as some of those PS4 games we saw. OF COURSE IT DOESN'T. It isn't trying to. It's a cellshaded game. It's GOING for a cartoon style. I thought that was obvious but apparently not. It's Wind Waker all over again. My only complaint is that I wont be allowed to play it this year.

Sorry jumping on the Zelda train but honestly most games for the Sony one looked so good.

Gee...I wonder if they'd do that. I mean nobody knows what the NX is. And the Wii U is out of the question. The PS4 is more likely to get the other game packs. But then again they've already sold a ton of PS3 copies of the games already. Both have gotten essentials releases. Maybe through some sort of miracle they'll release a triple pack once 2.8 is out. Lets hope.

If you already have a PS3 there absolutely NO single reason not to get the two packs. If you don't. Well... Not sure what to do then. Nobody even knows if they'll ever come out on the PS4.

Surprised the PS3 is even getting new releases outside Japan. I NEVER would have guessed P5 would come to the PS3 in the US. But good for those who still have barley enough cash to buy games. Don't expect many in 2017 tho. This is just another example of that the PS3 is about to wave good bye for the last time.

DDD didn't make it to 2.5 because it was still new-ish at the time and they wanted to wait and release it on the PS4 along with the new story bits that explains stuff and hypes KH3. You can find both 1.5 and 2.5 for around 10-20 Euros each. Or like less than 20 bucks in you're in the US. They were worth replaying imo. Plus you get new bosses and stuff that were exclusive to Japan.

Hmm I guess that can make things more fun. But many people automatically decide Roxas doesn't matter to the story. If they played Days first they'd have a completely different experience.

@rjejr Meh I suppose that works. As long as you get the story. I'd go this way 1, Chain of memories, Days, 2, BBS, DDD. If anyone disagrees feel free to explain why but that's the order I recommend.

@rjejr Do at least play Birth by sleep and Dream drop distance before 3. Trust me it's needed.
