Re: Square Enix Isn't Happy with the Quality of Star Ocean 5 on PS3

Riririn

@Feena Even Bamcon is making the next Tales of for PS3 as well. By this rate the wont get the next gen JRPGs until 2018. Not including KH3 and FF15 that hopefully will come out this year. That said, the PS4 version of this still looks different enough. Nicer textures, more details like grass and stuff. Everything looks sharper too. I wouldn't even want the PS3 version when I know I can easily get something better. Sure the same thing can be said about PC. But buying a PS4 is still probably less effort than buying a PC that may or may not get this game.

Re: Square Enix Isn't Happy with the Quality of Star Ocean 5 on PS3

@Gamer83 Yeah, who cares if the PS3 versions look like garbage. ( It kinda does, frame rate is terrible too ) Last year was the, well last year a PS3 game should have come out. There's no point in trying to keep the system alive any longer. I think it looks fine on PS4 but why not make the animations even better. Especially the faces. It's anime but still.

If someone loved the PS3 they'll love the PS4 even more. It's the place to be for all future JRPG releases. Like how can you not want one. Don't think money is an issue either. And the "no time" argument is also dumb. I mean, they have time to play it on PS3, then they'll have time to play on PS4. Gamers are gamers after all, they are gonna give up some social life for game time. Or just play with friends online. Oh and I doubt people who are into these big RPGs are satisfied with just mobile games either. Mobile gaming in Japan, like most of the world is only big because of the casual market. It shouldn't affect RPG fans at all. It's all so confusing. Just buy those PS4s Japan don't hold the rest of us back!

Re: Hooray, Star Ocean 5's English Voices Don't Sound Too Bad

Riririn

SO, the one on PS2. Til the end of time. Had a TERRIBLE dub. Jesus.Downloaded one of those undub isos of PB. Even tho I own the original game. Hopefully it wont be as bad as that but I'm still playing in Japanese. Duh. As a Swede I feel no need to struggle through America's dubs made for them anyways. I don't need that as an insult. There are times English makes sense. Like when it's the ORIGINAL language, or like Kingdom Hearts where there's many Disney characters. But for JRPGs? NO!

Re: This Ain't How You Eat Ice Cream, Hitomi

@sub12 Pffth. Women are always treated like they'll fall apart any minute in Japan. That's never gonna change as long as most young women willingly act like cutesy princesses. You have these all girl band idols too. You're basically better of being 16 forever, only problem is. Nobody can.

@thatguyEZ Made me giggle but it's so true. "Gee, I wish Zelda had less puzzles to solve", "Man Pokémon sure has a lot of Pokémon to catch but where are the hookers?" There are many silly examples to make. It's just...ugh...why bother...

Re: Fallout 4 Has a Secret that No One Has Discovered Yet

Riririn

"Fallout 4 Has a Secret that No One Has Discovered Yet" Translation: Make everyone you know buy a copy of the game too so you can give us more money, I mean come together and find the secret. Don't get your hopes up lads, girls,,, It could be really minimal and not worth finding at all. Then again... It could be anything. Anyone think they found it yet?

Re: Not Even Dark Souls III Is Immune to the Season Pass

Riririn

Can we just stop stripping games of half of it's content so we can make more money? No? Good luck playing the full experience when these downloads go dead in the future. I don't mind there being DLC like outfits and such you can always play without them, maybe a few weapons, big deal right. But when they cut out levels and dungeons I get grumpy.

Re: PlayStation VR May Be Launching Later in the Year Now

Riririn

And people say you look stupid playing the Wii. We don't know what Nintendo will cook up yet, and it's just a rumour btw. We don't know if it will really will come out in 2016. The NX that is. Either way, I'm buying neither. NOT BUYING. If I haven't already made it clear enough a billion times. Excuse me. No I'm not angry. It's just kinda meh. To me. I had this childish idea that it would work like SAOs Nerve Gear and then I was like "You have to use a controller". I dunno where I got that dumb idea from. Jesus. We're just not there yet. YAwn.

Re: Review: Megadimension Neptunia VII (PS4)

Yes this is a game for anime otaku. If you wanna remove the fan service you may as well not even make the game. It's for an audience that most of the time doesn't get the girls in real life, or at least in Japan. Laugh all you want but do you wanna take away the only fun the may have? Fans of this series will probably not be pleased if you removed what sold the game before. For these people life doesn't continue when the game ends it continues when they begin a new game, read a new manga or watch a new anime episode. When they aren't working, hopefully they do work, they do this.

Re: Soapbox: Final Fantasy XV Finally Looks Like a Real Game

Riririn

There are a bunch of JRPGs that feature mostly female characters. Let us womenfolk have this one. And I don't think they look very girly at all. I see girlier men all the time in Tokyo. Yeah you know, it's a Japanese game. And the character designer is also Japanese. "WUUAAAAT??!" leljk Hardly anyone should be surprised here. Unlike the west Japanese people don't shy away from pretty men. If you want all the chicks this is what you'll have to look like. I wish I was kidding. Either way, it's a game. So the creators can do whatever they want. I don't have to see the same brown haired "every man" boring slightly un-shaved shmuck again so I'm happy.

Re: Here's a Better Look at Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Art Style on PS4

Riririn

It always bugged me how TMNT could never stick with the same canon. Or at least 2. One for the mature audience and one for the kids. And there's like a million reboots. Tho I have to say the Nick show ain't terrible.

Their faces look kinda derpy in this game, not as awful as in that latest movie tho. So which show/comic are these turtles based of anyways? Doesn't seem very clear to me.

Re: Interview: We Talk Everything Digital with the Producer of Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth

Riririn

They actually care about older fans which is great. Digimon has a very dedicated adult fanbase in Japan. We need one over here as well. AND we need to teach people Digimon isn't some cheap rip off of Pokémon.

Both franchises are awesome but Pokémon is sometimes too afraid to make more content for older players. Such as a harder mode in the main series games which lead people to create the nuzlocke challenge. I mean really. I always wanted an Pokémon anime aimed at older people, besides Origins.

Digimon already beat them once again because there's a new series with the original character that are now older teenagers. You wont even know what's going on unless you watched the original show. Do that if you haven't, and in Japanese this time.

I can guarantee it's MUCH better that way. And the original music, wow! So much neater than that obnoxious "Digimon, digital monster, Digimon you are..." theme song. YES, I grew up with it to but I'm willing to cast aside nostalgia for quality. And no weeaboo shaming here please. You just NEED to trust me on this one.

Now if only the new game could magically arrive earlier.

Re: PSX 2015: Final Fantasy VII's PS4 Port Has Cheat Modes

Riririn

Is it so bad to cheat in a game most of us have already beaten 5+ times? I mean really? Speeding things up is nice. I don't have so much time that I can spend hours just grinding. You already know you can beat the common enemies. Turn based RPGs are only difficult if you're under levelled anyways.
