Re: Sony Plans to Convert PC Gamers Through the Power of PlayStation

@Aladin_Run for years, people kept using a gtx 1060, an inexpensive mid range card. It was the most popular graphics card on steam until 2022. An rtx 4060 is very affordable for the 12 tflops and ray tracing features it offers, while also being dlss3 and fsr 3 capable.

I have a 4060 laptop and can run CP 2077 with some RT above 60fps. With dlss, I can take it to almost 100fps. I’ve also played BG3 with 80-100fps as well

@DeathlySW “ That being said, creating an account isn’t a huge deal. Pc gamers constantly sign up for new accounts in all kinds of games and online content, this is small fry.”

As a PC gamer myself, I absolutely hate that. I already have the store’s account, and making me sign up for yet another account is a deterrent for me. The difference with the PSN, though, is that the service is region locked. “Just make a US PSN account, yada yada yada”. Not everyone knows or will take those extra steps just to play a game. Imagine paying for a game that you can’t play a few days or weeks later.

Re: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Sales Remain Muted in the USA, Compared to Past Games

@Yorozayu “ Just a reminder that this game has sold +2 million copies since launch at the end of February”
They can sell many million copies if they want, but if FF7 Rebirth didn’t cover back the budget and marketing expenses, then it is indeed a financial failure. That’s the thing many people, including, you, don’t realize.
Example: FF7R sold 2M units like you said. If we average the price at $70, then it has made $140M. Reduce that by the Sony tax of 30%, so they really made $98M. That is peanuts if we compare it to a (assuming) $200M budget and marketing expenses. SE bled $102M. How is that a commercial success?
