Bugger, but a little work bonus bought mine. My PC is quietly waiting for F1 23, ACC, Elite Dangerous, Fallout 4, and many others to go VR. Exciting times for Sony expansion, might actually save the device and give PlayStation some extra kudos in the process.
@Yousef- steam deck user. But I've faffed a bit, not widows but heroic and emudeck. Mostly steam. The reason I built a pc too, that and Elite Dangerous after they nerfed the console.version.
@Yousef- one I've left. I know it's great and it can go on my new PC, in a sale, as I've gone and turned to the dark side now. Still have robocop and jedi whatever the new one is as new games on ps5.
@Yousef- My PS Knowledge is disappearing as I don't play much now, new games can look amazing but don't give the feeling they did 30-40 years ago. I'm scared I've grown up...
Shooters shmooters. Don't play em, don't like em. Far Cry, Cyberpunk, Robocop and the like do it for me as there is a means to an end. Looters, microtransactions and the like are banned for my kids, and I join the ban.
I have Driver:SF on my steam deck. It still rocks and very fun to play. The best free roam driving game, if not only, that has disappeared because of music license issues. Madness when Ubisoft has remastered so much they couldn't bring this back. Reflections knew how to make car mechanics fun.
Meant to pick C, but added to A. I have premium for a bit for psvr2 titles. But am getting an adapter for pc as soon as so will drop back to extra or essential. Game pass and the like just offer too much by way of games I would never play anyway. But it got to be great for some. A psvr only tier would be one I'd buy into.
@tangyzesty easy tiger, quickly looks like just a hate post. Prices are what they are. I pay what I like as I'm paid well enough. But saying amazing sales prices reduction is just plain lies. Which is my point. Nothing to do with whether the price is a good one. Same with steam summer sale. They were all the same price last week under another name. Keep your hair on.
Doesn't matter that I like the narrative or have the time nowadays, there's always gonna be those who love this type of game. I shall never bare witness to their stories but then that's kinda the point of the game designer. They do great work for those who love it.
Never play a game for the desire to be broken. Never flashed up a Souls genre game. It's not what my gaming is for. Witcher is enough on hard for me. But if you know what you're getting into then why moan.
I'll be playing F1 24 on my PC with a PSVR headset, and ACC, GT7 on PS5 and maybe Aliens, but just racing games. The VR genre PS has left behind for the most part. The reason I have built a pc last month to replace my aged model as I now no longer have to buy another headset.
It's just going to be my steam VR Headset, I only ever wanted F1 in VR, now I shall have it. And ACC. Can't be doing with horror games or moving about the room. What I don't get is why spend all that money, twice, and don't support. It's like kinect for xbox.
Most of them are still more than I'm prepared to pay. I'm replaying ps3 classics that were long forgotten on my pc/steamdeck, subs as portal too, nowadays. Costs are low, games are good and bizarrely very title in the way of microtransactions.
@Northern_munkey I just remember PS1 games being a lot more at the start and then somehow ps2 dropped to around 35. There were only a few places to buy originally like toys r us and curry's. It was still niche before the likes of Game. If you want to keep saying I paid too much carry on but I know, I bought my ps1 in toys r us and tekken , discworld, which I still have and is worth more now, and destruction Derby. It nearly spent me out but my amiga days were officially over.
@LowDefAl I know what I paid I. Toys R Us. You can believe what you like. There was no Amazon or mobile phones either. And I had to use a map for weekenders from Pompey to Yorkshire if there was a traffic jam.
It's a ps2 game, we are talking about, not PC. It plays how you remember, looks how you remember and for me that's a good thing. No reason to buy on pc.
It's a fave horror in this house. Carpenter knows how to make em. The game was great, if a bit fiddly,, so a remaster is a day one as long as it reviews above 6 I think it was.

Re: Poll: Is the Astro Bot PS5 Controller the Best DualSense Yet?
I just have the one that arrived day 1. It is, after all, a controller. Apart from the Yorkshire Tea one, I'd have that.
Re: PSVR2 Sales Explode After Sony's Deep Price Cut, Up More than 2000%
Quite a negative bunch today. Its the best way to play GT7, and very soon all other racing games on my PC too. It's bonkersly good.

Another Netflix turd inbound.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 539
Rule of Rose and Cold Fear.
Re: Poll: Are You Sick of Soulslike Games?
Think I played one for like 30 minutes. Realised.it may look amazing but no fun just painful learning curves, life too short.

I got the COD question right! Haven't played since MW PS3...

Re: Feature: The 10 Best PS5 Games of 2024 So Far
Not a lot of votes there. To be honest I'm yet to play any of them.

Re: Talking Point: What Are Your Thoughts on the Concord PS5, PC Beta?
Videos look groovy but I don't play these games. Hope this live service does better than others but it won't be getting my pennies.

Watch Dogs on my steam deck. I have a playstation somewhere.
Re: Talking Point: What's Your PS5 Game of the Year for 2024 So Far?
Was Robocop this year? Only game I've bought ps5 wise. Slowly drifting to my PC.

Plodding through it now. It's a good trip back to my teens.

So back to normal price but under a different 'sale'.

@HotGoomba it's the American spelling of kilometre.
Re: Talking Point: What's Your Most Anticipated PS5 Game for the Second Half of 2024?
I wonder how many Astrobot fans actually complete it... They're pretty but ultimately average experiences.
Re: Assassin's Creed Remakes Are on the Way, Ubisoft Confirms
If they remake 2 I want feathers on the map. Never got above 95% completion because I'm lazy.

CDKEYS for digital codes for cheaper.

Re: UK Video Game Retailer GAME Will Reportedly Stop Stocking Video Games
Be honest, when does anyone buy from Game? Their preowned are the same price as new. Sports Direct chap ruined the company.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree?
Can't play everything, and this one was sidelined early doors for many many others.
Re: Sony Is Allegedly Pulling PSVR2 Funding, Report Claims
@DonkeyFantasy then a vr as that's the best way to play.
Re: Sony Is Allegedly Pulling PSVR2 Funding, Report Claims
@naruball we will find out in 20 years, if I'm still here.
Re: Sony Is Allegedly Pulling PSVR2 Funding, Report Claims
It's just going to be my steam VR Headset, I only ever wanted F1 in VR, now I shall have it. And ACC. Can't be doing with horror games or moving about the room. What I don't get is why spend all that money, twice, and don't support. It's like kinect for xbox.

@Northern_munkey @Northern_munkey however much they were 49.99 in 97 vs 60 in 2024 isn't bad inflation.

Re: Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake Is a Full $60 Release on PS5
PS1 games were 60 quid back in the day. And I was paid less than third what I get now.
Re: Success of Legendary Edition Convinced Mass Effect Lead Writer to Leave BioWare
So good I bought it twice, that or my steam deck doesn't accept ps4 discs.... 😂
Re: Across Its Vaunted IP, Capcom Fans Crave Dino Crisis Above All Else
I voted Dino Crisis. Still play it.
Re: Tomb Raider Legend Unearths 480p, 30fps Performance on PS5, PS4

Without Nintendo there's no PlayStation. Cool that they've made up.
Re: Many More PS5, PS4 Games from China on the Way
To be honest it's not for the 80's gamer in me. But I'm older now and if I was 16 again then maybe.
Re: 3 New PS Plus Essential Games Are Available to Download Now on PS5, PS4
THQ Nordic paying PSN to put these on as freebies? SoR might get a play..
Re: Poll: What Was Your Favourite Game from State of Play?
Finished Until Dawn a lot and it looks good. Might even go for more endings.
Oh and that Astrobot thingy looked okay too.
