Re: PS Stars Rewards Now Include Top PS5 Games Rise of the Ronin, Helldivers 2, More

I don’t see the significance of specific titles being added to the lineup when you can redeem points for wallet funds (1250 points for five dollars or 5000 points for twenty dollars). This would equate to the exact same price for the titles listed (10,000 points or forty dollars for Helldivers and 17,500 points or seventy dollars for Rise of the Ronin). Why not redeem the points for wallet funds and purchase whatever you want? If Sony is going to highlight specific games, there should be at least some small discount to act as an incentive.

I’m going to try Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Misdemeanors that I picked up in the store sale for $3.99. I wanted Year One but didn’t want to pay forty dollars. Of course, the new Spring Sale just started, and Year One is only $8.99 now.. Oh well, I guess the order doesn’t really matter. And it would probably be harder going back to the older game controls and graphics after playing a more modern version. Similar to playing the early Yakuza games after starting with the more recent entries.

I am still trying to get the 100% completion trophy in Tchia for the platinum. I just need to get gold on a couple of more races and one diving challenge that is giving me problems. Also a little OverWatch with my son and daughter. We are all fairly excited about the Cowboy Bebop skins releasing next week. Best anime ever. The plan is to get Spike, Jett and Faye and then all play together on a team.

Trying to finish the last of the treasures and trinkets for the plat in Tchia before it leaves the subscription service. But time is limited because Yo La Tengo are playing a show tonight in a beautiful renovated old mill on the river in Saxapahaw. The beginning of concert season is upon us. The Magnetic Fields will soon be playing 69 Love Songs in its entirety at a historic theater in downtown for the 25th anniversary of the album release. And I just got tickets as a birthday gift for my son to see Ween in April. Unfortunately, it is at an amphitheater. Wish I could see them at a small club again, but my son is excited for the opportunity to see them at all. So an amphitheater it is.

I played the original last year on the Extra tier of the subscription service, and the game is a perfect example of an unnecessary remake. It held up incredibly well for a ten year old title and the graphics never distracted from the gameplay. And as much as a co-op mode seems enticing, it was the unique gameplay mechanics that really stood out. Controlling both characters with the respective joysticks was mind bending. Still, I would play it again if it also shows up on the subscription service later. Or if a really steep sale comes along.

@T-Bone09. That’s wild that you could still play It Takes Two after it left the service. I have had a couple of games that left the service installed (not just in my library), but once they left, the icon was still on my Home Screen, but there was an image of a lock in the corner and it would no longer load.

Re: Upgraded PS5 Pro Planning to Be the Best Place to Play GTA 6

The first two comments with opposing answers. There you have it. I should add that my son and I play a lot of games together and until recently, cross play between the PS5 and PS4 Pro has been fine. But now, after almost four years, there are finally PS5 exclusives like Helldivers being released that we both want to play so a second PS5 is needed. Hopefully the days of cross generation games are over.
