It’s completely over saturated with pointless content now. Surely they would be better off making the multiplayer free to play and release a quality standalone campaign every three years. The same should happen with eafc and ultimate team mode. The quest to squeeze every last drop of cash from people has completely ruined the franchise

Such a shame, maybe the time is right to separate the campaign and sell as a standalone title that is released every 2-3 years

I’d prefer a slim, I got a ps4 pro and regretted it so won’t be making the same mistake again. Why can’t we have more games? I don’t care about frame rates and ray tracing as much as others. The ssd is the selling point of ps5 for me. Make a slim with a 2tb ssd and I’m sold

Grid legends is a good game, gets a bit grindy in career mode but it’s good fun racing

Nobody has paramount plus and I’d doubt this will sway it. Here’s hoping they get absorbed by Netflix/Prime/Disney+

I am from England and couldn’t be more aware now that a population suffers from actions of its government. Ours is a complete joke and since brexit all benefits of being English are disappearing and rightly so. If more of my people used their brains and votes remain than economic sanctions our businesses are suffering wouldn’t be happening. The only weapon I have against the Russian administration is money, it’s disappointing but games are not different to any other commodity.

I think it’s probably best to disable the comments on articles about this game. Pro Russian rhetoric has no place here. Until the war stops all Russians should face the consequences of their complicity. This game should be boycotted.

I’m only interested in the campaign so I don’t see why I have to give them a phone number. The game is already a complete mess with all the different installation packs that confuse old guys like me! Microsoft accounts are a pain to have. Everything just seems so difficult for the end user with these companies… Most cod players are too young to have mobile phones anyway!

I’d be happy with crash 4 as I don’t have it but didn’t want to pay full price for it. Other two are typical ps plus fodder but it goes to show that Sony didn’t really need to change format of ps plus. People can be happy with good games that they get to keep. Competition can only be good for us. I don’t like the name particularly but it will be irrelevant if they produce a better game. Will this open up new possibilities for licensing such as the national league? I’d like that… PES never had the budget to challenge fifa games and licensing didn’t help. It’s a risk from EA sports, their success is practically built on fifa games

@Milktastrophe nobody gets a good deal here. I gave up subscribing to ps plus 3 years ago. I’m an older gamer who doesn’t care for multiplayer games with 12 year olds making death threats and wishes of cancer. Why pay to be part of that poison? I’m not jealous I’m just sad because the best is over. This is just another cherry on top from Sony, thanks for trolling me though ✌️

Careful what you wish for. Sony are clearly incapable of providing a realistic alternative to game pass. The whole thing is a mess. Making people pay the entire difference if they want to try upgrading for a month is ridiculous? Existing subscribers to plus should’ve been given the mid tier as a good will gesture. Ps now subscribers should be refunded their remaining subscription cost. Typical Sony shrouding everything in secrecy causing unrest on the internet. They seem to be incapable of positive press at the moment. Even Nintendo seem to be better at this.

Gaming is getting harder and harder to enjoy these days. We need fresh companies with much more consumer friendly ideas. Things like this are just depressing. What are we paying Sony for?

Time will tell how serious they are, fingers crossed it’s a genuine commitment to putting it right.

Am I the only one that thinks all this hate is a bit unnecessary?

I loved gta4. I would like it on PlayStation 4 or 5, would save me having to resort to playing it on a laptop screen. It was different to the usual rockstar. I’d even subscribe to psnow again if it came on but would prefer a proper remaster. I know people complain about remasters but I love them. Ever since tomb raider anniversary on ps3. Being able to bring modern standards to classic games is never a bad thing in my book.

This game looks like a “let’s grab some of that fortnite cash” game. Totally soulless and lacks any imagination. It seems to me that every multiplayer game that comes out now requires you to play it for 6 hours a day to get the most out of it. I’ve grown tired of this battle pass formula that every company is doing. Games were easier to enjoy 10 years ago for me. Getting abuse screamed at me by 12 year olds is not my idea of immersion. I might be a dinosaur but games like this one will never interest me.

If Sony didn’t make such an ugly console in the first place than we wouldn’t feel the need for this product would we. Sony can only blame themselves for this. Ps5 has been out for ages and still only available in white? I’m sure it wouldn’t be difficult to use a different coloured plastic in the same mould. Give consumers what they want Sony, or someone else will

Nothing is free in this world, comes at the cost of the game you wanted. It’s a bit sad but there’s plenty more games in the sea.

I think the problem is that most ps5 upgrades have been free, and charging for it now seems greedy. This game has held value more than any other exclusive so will be making enough money to cover the development costs. I love the game and will happily pay for the expansion but still have not been given a reason to buy a ps5. Sony will be blind to this until console sales suffer which doesn't look to be happening anytime soon. And the whole my massive greedy company is better than your massive greedy company argument is ridiculous. We're the only losers here.

It hasn't been on PlayStation because it is a terrible quality game. But Sony can't avoid the cash it makes for much longer!

I'm not sure it's interesting enough at the moment... There doesn't seem to be much going on other than driving around to find boost pads. If you're not going to have power ups you need an interactive changing environment for me (like the previous comment about split second) I also echo that it looks like normal sized cars in an enormous room. The track creation tool needs to be on point with this, milestone should look at modnation racers for inspiration, one of the most underappreciated kart racers for me.

Got my ps5 yesterday, not blown away so far. It's just a bit better in every way. There aren't any games I'm interested in yet but there will be I'm sure. Navigating the UI is tricky but that's just because I've got used to the simplicity of the ps4. The dualsense is the star of the show so far. I regretted getting ps4 pro but won't regret ps5

If consumers refused to pay more than RRP then we wouldn't have this problem. People buying the scalped machines are as much to blame as the sellers. I want a ps5 but I will not pay more than its worth, so I'll just wait until it's possible...
