I mean it’s had its desired effect; I’ve downloaded games I wouldn’t normally buy. I don’t think anyone can say there’s ‘nothing’ for them - that simply can’t be true. It’s not an amazing selection as of yet but I do think PlayStation will be working magic behind the scenes and we will see a lot more in the future.

Metal Gear Solid or SOCOM. Give us what we want Sony.

Also, not bothered about us Europeans missing out on PS3 titles, I want downloadable games so doesn't bother me much.

I'm just missing Evil Genius 2 - can't believe it disappeared from the service.

Great addition but the lack of downloadable Classics on the service is bad. They need to get this PS3 emulator and some additional PS1/PS2 games of note, fast.

Descenders has confirmed it will be part of this regions lineup. Not huge news as part of US but worth noting.

@KayOL77 The service hasn’t fully rolled out yet so facts are limited I’d argue.

@ChrisDeku yeah, this is what will be interesting. Third party like LEGO will be under 12 months I would guess. Also would be interesting to see if Sony move the goalposts dependent on success of service.

@Flaming_Kaiser All of these games are already out though. For instance, I’m holding off LEGO Star Wars and GT7 as I realistically believe they will come out in next two months. Even if they’re not first day releases, if I think it’ll release within 3 months on the service, I’d still be inclined to hold off buying.

I’m now dubious on purchasing games because of the not knowing whether they will suddenly show up on PS Plus. Wonder if others do the same and it dangers sales?

I think Microsoft have nailed it by detailing exactly what’s coming to the service so you can decide what to buy with the knowledge you won’t get it free a month later.

Horizon FW for the next few days before I get my grubby hands on this PS Plus shake up on Thursday.

Can we all channel some opportunistic energy that Sony with add some classics and Extra games this week.

Given the time we’ve waited for the DLC, I wouldn’t be surprised if this DLC release follows a fairly quick turnaround of an RE9 announcement and I’m so pumped for it. This series is amazing at the moment.

The entire PS Plus rehash has been appallingly advertised and handled. Sadly it appears they didn’t secure the kind of calibre of games they wanted to hence they’ve kept on the down low about it. Hope I’m wrong though.

Am I right in thinking Neil alluded to it being released sooner than next year? I had the volume down low but I’m sure he kind of stopped short of agreeing with Geoff it was coming next year?

Surely this is something that should definitely be on PS Plus Extra. It’s a first party but an old game and PS5 only. Sounds like it’s expensive in order to be free on the service and entice people to subscribe.

But in short, if it’s not on there, I’m not paying for that.

Meh it was fine. Just what I expected to be honest. I’d rather have a large Sony showcase.

This is great news. I’d really love to see F1 Manager go straight to this service too given it’s first of its kind.

What I hate about this year is we had everything in February and very early March and now we’re just expected to look forward to PSVR2 (vast majority won’t buy one let’s be honest) and a half baked PS Plus service.

Not surprised these fake leaks are being made - a lot of bored people waiting for some release dates and new announcements.

PS5 being fully utilised now; love to see it.

Can’t wait for this, hope there’s less worlds to visit (rather more differing terrain to explore on the same planet) and better story.

Really wish you could start this game and skip the tutorial. Only reason I’ve never returned to this game as the tutorial is too long winded.

Considering even my speedy wifi still can’t make Sony’s attempt at streaming games work, this isn’t heartbreaking for me but as I say, Sony need to do streaming better from the ground up anyway.

A small part of me is putting a small bet on this being one of the first third party first day releases on the new PS Extra service.

@PenguinLtd Ah but they did stop it. Also, stacking the current membership so you have it for longer or utilising a discount on a site is different from stacking from a previous system in order to financially gain in the future.

That’s my view anyway.

Controversially I agree with the stacked approach - Sony never said that option could/should be used so people used it at their own risk.

As for the discounts that Sony have given, that’s just plain ludicrous.

So far none of these have my interest. Where’s MGS, where’s SOCOM, where’s that skeleton game from PS1 (can’t remember name). They were classics.

I’ve just realised Sony are delaying this full list of titles in the new PS Plus lineup so they can sell them in sales and generally.

And that realisation has irritated me so much.

Forget all this - what happened to that Discord partnership? Shouldn’t that be the connection between communities they should be focusing on?

I’m taking a punt on this that they’ve tweaked the first game to launch with PS Plus’s classic games which is their contract with them and that the second game remaster will then be announced.

I think, given how long this has dragged on, there’s quite a bit of Silent Hill info to come…
