@Oram77 the second one is the reason I stopped buying Nintendo hardware (and games). Last time was with 3ds.

Considering that it failed to make a profit when the Final Fantasy brand was at its peak, I seriously doubt anything FF related would perform better now.

Went with an open mind and gave Suicide Squad a chance. Needless to say, it wasn't for me. It may be a decent game, but I didn't enjoy it at all.

@LifeGirl it wasn't anime in general. It was a few anime at best. Now hundreds of anime appeal to all sorts of people.

@breakneck a small percentage of indie games can make money. The ones we keep hearing about.

But my point is that while indie games can look like something straight out of the 90s and be successful, the same doesn't apply to AAA games. Unless an AAA game has a huge budget, it's destined to fail. Hence AA games no longer being made.

@trev666 here's the thing. Indie games can look like 80s/90s games and sell well. Everything else needs to look amazing, or they're dismissed as ps3 games. So, unless you're Nintendo or an indie developer, a huge budget is a must in this day and age.

Really happy with mine, though I spend most of the time playing games like Vampire Survivors on it. AAA game don't feel right when you have a pretty good TV and speakers

@JohntheRaptor if they believe it was a masterpiece, then for them it was a masterpiece. Simple as that. Now if the same people would call "masterpiece" every other game, then you'd have a point. We do see that with "G.O.A.T". Apparently everything is the greatest of all time.

FF7 is not even an option, apparently. If it's not an intentional joke, you might as well admit you just don't like the game.

I haven't even played it and even I know it deserves to be higher, but alas.

I really don't see this game's appeal, but I'm genuinely happy for everyone enjoying it. Also, glad to hear that it's not one of those predatory ftp games.

That one person was a new account with just one post. Nonetheless, the were countless articles about the "backlash" she was facing solely based on a single comment. So, sometimes, backlash can even be manufactured to sell stories/ attract traffic.

@twitchy_emu92 a whole lot of people bought a ps2 just to watch DVDs, as it was cheaper than a DVD player. Hence why so many legendary games didn't sell anywhere near as much as many games do nowadays (well that and... piracy).

@RoomWithaMoose even Marvel Avengers sold more than most people realize. Just not as much as SE was hoping. As a single player game, it did quite well. It only failed as a GaaS.

Yeah, and I bet if they made the same game without the Marvel IP, it would have performed just as well, bringing unique value to players /s
