This weekend going to be my off work days.
Going to dedicates a huge chunk of my gaming session to a game that I started years ago, Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

Also going to "restart" my progress on Hitman WoA (bought during recent sales). I finished Hitman 2016 but not Hitman 2/3.

Might also dabble in a game that involves a witcher from Rivia.

It's been quite a while since I comment on WAYP.
Happy gaming & happy weekend everyone!

It's been a long time since my last gaming session.
There is really only one thing for me to do this whole weekend which is:

Taking a certain commander through a certain space odyssey.
It involves aliens, drama, romance, as well as a morality system known as "Paragon/Renegade".

Stay safe & have a great weekend to all.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 340

It's been nearly a month without gaming, busy dealing with works & family/life stuff. Finally come back to gaming this weekend.

Just bought The Last Guardian & Shadow of the Colossus. Started Last Guardian & enjoying it so far after finishes ICO on PS3 years ago. Somehow I adore the beast & realize I keep holding L1 to focus on it to admire it, which sound silly.

Also continuing Red Dead Redemption 2, another masterpiece that I hope to finish one day. Enjoying it immensely.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 336

wilsondtm

Started A Plague Tale which is a very quality game with at lot of hearts & efforts from the dev from top to bottom. Top notch. Enjoying it very much.

Meanwhile on Hitman 2, I'm at Santa Fortuna currently & this game truly takes up a lot of my limited gaming time. Loving it & can't wait for Hitman 3. On the side, also mix in a little PES 2020 to scratch that football game itch.

Happy gaming everyone!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 317

With what happening/spreading around the world right now, I got plenty of free time all of the sudden, which I really need to get use to. Therefore, finally dives into the world of Death Stranding & been playing it almost non-stop ever since. Already in Chapter 7 currently.

This game is unique, simple yet challenging, repetitive & grindy yet very much addictive. Can't pointed out what or why, but I, personally, can't get this type of feeling from other games that I've played. Love this game so much.

With the current world situation, the phrase of "Keep on keeping on" seems ideally suitable for everyone at this trying time around the globe.

Keep on keeping on, everyone.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 312

Finally get some gaming time this weekend. Going to carry on the Witcher 3 B&W expansion which is excellent all the way, to the point I personally don't want it to end.

Also, still considering to get the Kingdom Hearts all-in-1 package that currently on psn sale. But feels overwhelm by all the contents included in the package. Never play a KH game before. That's that.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 305

wilsondtm

@Col_McCafferty Yeah. B&W is gorgeous but I started questline of HoS 1st, only to get stuck at the 1st boss fight. Lol.

@Neolit Maybe it is the atmosphere or the surprise elements/events that happen while exploring the map. Or maybe it is the lack of "?" on the map. Still early into the game, only arrived at Tuck's camp, so not yet upgrade the bike. Keep looking for fuel. Lol.

It is refreshing the way the touchpad function. Killzone SF did similar but only limited to gun skills, if I remember correctly, not the whole of different menus.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 305

wilsondtm

Finally completed the main quests & majority side quests of The Witcher 3 (only left out the collect gwent cards quest). It is so good that I wanted to start the expansions right away, but I didn't.

Instead, started Days Gone for the 1st time. It is good & quite addictive while exploring the map & doing quests. Can't really pointed out what makes it addictive, but it is, at least for me.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 291

wilsondtm

Recently my gaming time been reduced greatly. This weekend finally get some times off. Going to carry on the main story for AC Odyssey alongside RDR2 (Sigh...two HUGE games!). Enjoying every second of both.

Might mix in some Detroit Become Human. I want to make Connor the villain & Markus as good guy this time round & face off against each other with the epic final battle.

Re: ANTHEM Gets 15 Minutes of Uninterrupted Early Mission Gameplay

wilsondtm

With KH3/Metro Exodus/Resi2Remake to be released soon, I personally will not hype for this game especially when it is an always-online/live service game. Add in the potential addition of mtx & lootbox, it further lower my interest for this game.

The concept/game itself seems great but it does give me a feeling of deja vu as like Destiny 1 where initial reveal was generated great hype & all, but the game fell short after actual released. I might be wrong in term of Anthem but it really does give me this same feeling.

Re: This Is What Geralt Looks Like in The Witcher Netflix Series

wilsondtm

Wow...Just wow... (in an odd & awful & negatively perceived ways).
I do not expect much from the early announcement for The Witcher live action adaptation. Well, this short tease makes it even worse than what I initially had felt. But since it is Halloween, I guess this 'reveal tease' does the job for some Halloween moments (a scarily awful looking cosplay of the Geralt of Rivia from the game).

Seriously, I truly hope this will turn out great in the end.

Re: Fallout 76's B.E.T.A. Begins on 30th October for PS4

wilsondtm

I know this game exist & to be released & always-online but that's it. Nothing regarding this game piqued my interest, tbh. But knowing there are lot of people interested in this game, maybe it will do well, perhaps.

With Spiderman & God of War I'm playing through right now, and with RDR2 around the corner, throw in Spyro remastered along some sport titles to be released. Personally, I got no time for this game.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 236

wilsondtm

Too bad I'm not getting Spiderman as my backlog of games are taunting at me.

As of right now, still going through God of War & AC Origins. Try to get 100% completion while enjoying experience both of these games providing. Also, Yakuza 0 is amazing. Much like watching a Japanese movie while going through. Awesome.

For those of you that playing Spidey, enjoy the web-slinging & web-shooting.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 233

wilsondtm

Currently playing God of War. I'm late for this game but what an 'epic' game this is. Every aspect of this game is so good. The game did a great job by subtly acknowledging the history of Kratos while laying a brand new story on top of it. Very well done.

Another game I'm currently playing is AC Origins. It is a huge & beautiful game. Exploring the game world & clearing question marks aside from main quests is fun. It is good & fresh.

Lastly, playing Mafia 3 as part of the PS Plus free game. Just started it but I can see why this game is not very well received among the fans of Mafia franchise. It does show the flaws but still a decent game with a good story, great cinematic scene, great voice acting & great facial animation.

Re: E3 2018: RAGE 2 Won't Have Multiplayer Modes

wilsondtm

From the initial released trailer/teaser, I don't have much interest for this game as it seems like a great premise/setting to throw in bunch of multiplayer modes all over this game especially with the current 'Battle Royale' trend in gaming.

This confirmed news greatly increases my interest for this game as now I can imagine this game could be the epic version of the underrated Mad Max game. Probably not day 1 but definitely pick it up down the road.

Re: Review: Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus (PS4)

wilsondtm

This game is amazing & is the reason why, that not every FPS shooter game must be Online/Multiplayer focus.
So glad this game don't have those online/micro-transactions/loot boxes nonsense.
Single player game will not die & this game is one of the many proof.

Re: Poll: Are You Loving Uncharted: The Lost Legacy on PS4?

wilsondtm

@get2sammyb I don't doubt Naughty Dog's great works here. They did a wonderful job for UC4 &, no doubt, for this game as well. Simply, I do on the fence on whether to jump in because I'm afraid I might not enjoy it as I did for previous UC games mainly because of my own least interests in the protagonists.

But by the look of the review & responses here, this sound like another game that I've judged way too early perhaps. No doubt I will give this game a shot.

Off topic, the last game that I judged too early was Nier Automata. Bought it on sale couple months ago & since then been always urging myself to go back to play & unfolds everything that the game has to offer. What a great game that is, imo.

Re: Poll: Are You Loving Uncharted: The Lost Legacy on PS4?

wilsondtm

@Fight_Teza_Fight Thanks. Very nice to know about it. I'm probably already expected those interaction between the two which is a good thing for character development. Chloe always shared some of the traits of Nathan, playful & talkative, while still full on action. But it is Nadine who piqued my interests for this outing though. Nadine, imo, is a mean & focused mercenary in UC4. This is why I'm kind of curious to see how the two bada** characters from previous games blend together here. Maybe this game will change my opinion regarding Nadine after all.

Re: Poll: Are You Loving Uncharted: The Lost Legacy on PS4?

wilsondtm

@Fight_Teza_Fight Agree with the character development part. This is one of the strengths in Naughty Dog's game. I like Chloe back to UC2 days but just not really into her like I did with Nathan/Elena/Sully even Cutter in UC3. I can't really point out particular reasons why I can't fully get into Chloe. But I feel she just don't 'click' with me that much. Glad to know that Nadine is able to hold herself as character & main protagonist in this game after her UC4 events.

May I ask, without any spoiler, how is the interaction level between Chloe & Nadine in the game? Are they always fight each other verbally or they are friend & will crack some jokes around like Nathan & Sully?

Re: Poll: Are You Loving Uncharted: The Lost Legacy on PS4?

wilsondtm

To be honest, this is the only Uncharted game that I do not pre order or pick up day 1. I love Uncharted series & Nathan Drake & Elena. But I'm not that really interest or into Chloe & kinda hate Nadine. To be fair, Nadine is one of the villains of UC4 so it is kinda ok to hate her, I guess.

Even after watching the extended gameplay from E3. I'm still do not feel the urge to pick this up yet I had preordered all previous Uncharted games. I was hoping an adventure from young Sully before he meet young kid Nathan.

Regardless, this game will be good, it is an Uncharted game after all. Although I'm not into it but might pick this up on sale down the road.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 181

wilsondtm

This weekend is still Horizon Zero Dawn. There is something about this game that makes me unable to stop but keep playing it. Even only explore & hunting without follow any quests. I still find it fun & I'm already played it for 2 months.

@Kidfried I picked up Hitman Season 1 from sale awhile back. You are in for a treat because Sapienza is 1 of the best location/episode if not the best location/episode of Hitman Season 1. Play & explore it without guide is a good & fun way to learn the map. Hope you will enjoy it.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 180

wilsondtm

I'm going to continue Aloy's journey in Horizon Zero Dawn & trying to pull off the silent assassin suit only in Bangkok for Hitman Season 1.

Bought Titanfall 2 on sale & start the campaign mix with some MP matches. This is the 1st Esport-ish FPS shooter game I bought in a very long time (stop buy Cod after original MW). Need some real adjustment for the fast pace action but so far it is good fun.

Re: E3 2017: Sony's Listening to Your Requests for PS4 Remakes

wilsondtm

There are a lot of classic games could be my demand for a remake for PS4 but ICO is the one game that really have a special place for me & wish it could make into the remake list since now that Shadow of the Colossus remake is on the way.

Love both on PS3 & still playing both games recently. Definitely will buy both again if a remake does happen for ICO.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 171

wilsondtm

On PS4, it is Dragon Age Inquisition all the way.

On PS3, it will be ICO HD. This is my 6th playthrough since I bought the ICO collection back at 2013. Still feels like a new experience for me. Awesome game.

On xbox 360, continue Mass Effect 3. This time I'm going to play Commander Shepard like a jerk/bad guy to everything & everyone. Still a great game no doubt.

Re: Reaction: Remembering PS3 - The Console That Wouldn't Quit

wilsondtm

@hadlee73 Yeah me too. Just revisited ICO HD & Shadow of Colossus HD. The game still as awesome even by today's standard. If they decided to remastered/re-release on ps4, I will definitely buy it again. With end of production of ps3, I really wish my ps3 won't die anytime soon.

Re: Sony Says Goodbye to the PS3 After 10 Years on the Market

wilsondtm

It is sad to hear but inevitable at this point especially when PS4 doing so well. I got ps3 super slim & still play it almost every weekend. Just finished infamous 1 & 2 recently. Last night revisited ICO HD & God of war 3. These games & ps3 still awesome as it is.

Now I have the urge to revisit some of my favorite ps3 games including ICO collection, MGS4, R&C series, Infamous series, Uncharted series, GoW series, NiNokuni & almost all of the jrpg.
Just wish my PS3 won't die anytime soon.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 170

wilsondtm

On PS4, going to continue the inquisitor's path in Dragon Age Inquisition. Not bad so far. Also mix in with some Samurai Warriors 4 & Dragon Quest Heroes.

Also on xbox 360, going to finish off Mass Effect 2 & prepare for Mass Effect 3. Awesome trilogy. It is a shame that Andromeda ended up as a let down.

Re: Far Cry 5 Locks and Loads with Full Reveal Trailer, Release Date, and Gameplay Details

wilsondtm

It looks great. Not counting far cry primal, this is the first numbered far cry game that fully build for the new gen console. Wish ubisoft will revamp & add new mechanic to the gameplay other than go for full visual glory with the same old ubisoft open world formula. Although story wise, will be expected to be the similar as previous far cry title. Still, hope ubisoft can pull out some surprises.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 168

wilsondtm

On PS4, it will be Tales from the Borderlands. Going to start Dragon Age Inquisition which I bought on disc during sale last week. It got mixed reaction/review from the players/critics. Hopefully DAI is decent & interesting enough for me to enjoy. Will not compared to Witcher 3 yet since I'm not started Witcher 3 although I got it couple of month ago.

Re: Talking Point: What Free June 2017 PlayStation Plus Games Do You Want?

wilsondtm

@Kidfried Thanks. Been following this site for some time but only signed up today. Mainly I'm kind of worry if there are many trolling comments or discussion that are 'heated' among the member.

But after look into lot of good insightful discussion on the site. I decided to sign up & join the discussion.

Have to agree with you. This is a decent (more than decent in my book though, lol) gaming site available.

Re: Talking Point: What Free June 2017 PlayStation Plus Games Do You Want?

wilsondtm

Just joined Push Square some minutes ago. Seen a lot of insightful comments & discussion (with minimum trolling). Great site to satisfy my PS gaming news needs. Lol.

On topic, God of War 3 Remastered & Life is Strange & Alienation been free since couple of months ago on SEAsia PSN.

Tbh, I'm kinda surprised when internet discussed the different May PSplus free games lineup for US & UK (it even make headline for several gaming sites). For SEAsia, it is always been different lineup than US & UK most the times. SEAsia PSN still waiting for Transformer Devastation be included as PSplus game.

Personally, I wish June lineup to includes Knack or Killzone SF or Darksider remastered (either entry will do) along with some surprise indie title.
