@get2sammyb This is probably the best we could have hoped for. A restructuring without making people like me who barely justify PS+ get the upper tiers and a general improvement in the games offered at the top tier. The best part of it is that it has been announced and we can stop speculating about it.
@SegaBlueSky I haven't played any of them. I can't actually remember the last PS+ game I played, but I have gotten my money's worth over the years. A free game is just not as valuable as a paid game, so I have a lot of games to get through in my backlog before anything else gets a look in. PS+ games are quite good for games to play with my kids, although we have been playing Dragon Quest builders for about a year and a half!
Absolute nonsense! Being Rachette is no more demeaning than being the female version of a male character. Also, that is not demeaning, it's just a fun trope. People are overthinking this video game stuff. It should just be fun, not some cultural battlefield.
@mrbone Sorry if I was misleading. I was just joking. I have made 0 great games and yet I'm not far off the number of great games made by Xbox on Game Pass. PS+ collection is better than Game Pass. The only game I have a connection to is that a friend of mine is in a game hobbist's group with the guy who developed CrossCode, and that game is supposed to be really good. Well, I have translated for a few mobile games, but I didn't make any.
@Old-Red I don't see any journalistic value in what Jason Schrier is doing, actually, it's really slimy to spoil entertainment reveals. It would be so much more fun for the rest of us if the companies just got to make their announcements. Just imagine the effort that hundreds of people went to not to let any details out ready for an impactful reveal, then some leech like Schrier just feeds off you and looks for another mark.
@Mauzuri I don't think people who actually played Knack dislike it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. The only problem was that it was a launch game with not a whole lot else.
@danzoEX People really talk up Rocksteady, but they just don't stand out as a studio compared to all others. They need to do something a bit different and special to prove that they are amongst the best studios out there.
@get2sammyb Most teams lost some time to the adjustments they made because of Covid restrictions, but it's severe mismanagement if they lost a whole year.
@tinCAT-zero That's not how I meant it come across. Maybe I should have said that they are not aware of the complaints because ignorant often has a negative connotation. Or maybe they just don't care. My point was more that people can complain all they like, but people are still going to buy the game presumably because they enjoy it. I haven't played the game personally. From what I heard, there are microtransactions, but they don't interfere with the enjoyment of people who don't want to engage with them. An online connection is required, but it's not obvious to me why that is necessary. It seems to me that the sensible compromise would be to have an offline-only mode in which you can play the entire campaign, but you can't use the save data for online play. There was a day when the game was offline, but that is not a reason to not buy the game. People enjoy complaining about games and companies more than they enjoy playing them sometimes. It's all very opportunistic and inconsistent. I'm glad you are enjoying GT7.
@NomNom Microsoft should stop buying studios that are viewed as performing badly or having cultural problems because they just don't have a track record of managing studios like that well and they have enough on their plate with Activision.
@awp69 I'm only sad to potentially not play Tango games, but then Tokyo Ghostwire is the first to really interest me, and also Machine Games, but the last Wolfenstein was not as good. Sometimes it's good when your options are limited as you go and enjoy something else.
I'm glad to see Stranger of Paradise selling ok. It looks like a good candidate for personal goty. A game that seems like it will be memorable and enjoyable without being technically the best or winner of a popularity contest.
Whether good or bad, the masses are largely ignorant of the complaints of people in comment sections of sites such as PushSquare, and just keep buying whatever they fancy.
@PhhhCough Games don't have to be escapism. There are a tonne of sims that are basically the opposite, unless you consider immersion in another world escapism from your usual life.
@pip_muzz This is disproportional though. A bad review is because the game is just bad, a bad review because the game was down for one day is not useful information if this never happens again.
@Uncharted2007 I think Hulu was originally a collaboration among many major entertainment companies when they thought streaming/subscription services were worth investing in, but a bit risky to go it alone. Disney is very similar to Sony in many ways. In their respective fields they have premium content, but want a big slice of the streaming/subscription pie at the same time. I think it makes a lot of sense for PlayStation to have all games come to PS+/now after 6-12, but debut as paid games like the big Disney releases.

@SegaBlueSky Last month was really good

Re: Temper Your Enthusiasm for Huge Week of PlayStation News
@ThatMusicFan I'd be more than happy if they didn't change PS+ at all.
Re: Temper Your Enthusiasm for Huge Week of PlayStation News
@Martin_C We don't need a vita, just a handheld that can play the PS5 remotely and can play downloaded PS4 games and indies
Re: Temper Your Enthusiasm for Huge Week of PlayStation News
@mrbone I could put all the great games that I make on gamepass and I would be only a couple of games off the number that they have.

Re: Lost Judgment DLC The Kaito Files Out Now, Here's a Launch Trailer
@nessisonett The model makes sense. Let the superfans pay full price at launch and the less keen players can pick it up half price later on.
Re: Lost Judgment DLC The Kaito Files Out Now, Here's a Launch Trailer
I'm really looking forward to playing this, but I haven't played Lost Judgment yet...
Re: Lost Judgment DLC The Kaito Files Out Now, Here's a Launch Trailer
@get2sammyb Do you know how long it is? Because, if it is a big story, it's well worth the money.

Re: UK Sales Charts: Tiny Tina's Wonderlands Settles for Second as Kirby Conquers
April seems like a quiet month after March. I can't help thinking a couple of the games from March should have been released in April.
Re: This Week Could Be Big for PlayStation, Say Swirling Rumours
@munstre If Sony do drop their games day one on PlayStation Now, they might as well just sell out to Xbox.
Re: Poll: Did You Buy Ghostwire: Tokyo?
@NomNom Same. I'm only going to get a PS5 when it's easy
Re: PlayStation Studios: All Sony First-Party Developers and What They're Working On
That Japan section is looking a bit empty...

Re: Suicide Squad PS5 Will Not Kill the Justice League Until 2023
@Alan_cartridge_ Yes, but it would be mismanagement if they lost a whole year in two years.
Re: Did Xbox Game Pass Execs Just Out PS5, PS4's Rumoured PS Plus Reboot?
@Rob_230 She wants gaming to be a bigger part of our industry. What does that even mean?

@get2sammyb Most teams lost some time to the adjustments they made because of Covid restrictions, but it's severe mismanagement if they lost a whole year.
Re: Suicide Squad PS5 Will Not Kill the Justice League Until 2023
Rocksteady should try something other than Batman. It would be interesting!
Re: VRR Support Officially Coming to PS5 'In the Coming Months'
I would be grateful just to have a PS5, but I would like full Discord support if we're asking.
Re: Dozens of New PS5, PS4 Games from Ubisoft Allegedly Outed
Nothing that interesting here
Re: Dozens of New PS5, PS4 Games from Ubisoft Allegedly Outed
@brazzios_84 IF their games are good I will buy them, but they have lost what they had when they were at the top of their game about 10 years ago.
Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.520 Out Now on PS5, PS4, Fixes Bugs, Crashes, More
I will play this one day. I bought it a while ago now.

@tinCAT-zero Did I say something to upset you? It doesn't feel like you are responding to what I said
Re: New Witcher Game Announced, Developed on Unreal Engine 5
It makes a lot of sense to get on Unreal 5 considering what a problem their own engine has been.

@ORO_ERICIUS No worries!
Re: Sony Acquires Haven Studios, the New Developer Led By Jade Raymond
@get2sammyb Yep, this one is not For the Players (TM)
Re: Sony Acquires Haven Studios, the New Developer Led By Jade Raymond
@AFCC You're stunning and brave, it can't have been easy for you to say that.
Re: Sony Acquires Haven Studios, the New Developer Led By Jade Raymond
@BeerIsAwesome They are a PlayStation studios team I think, Bungie are not.
Re: Sony Acquires Haven Studios, the New Developer Led By Jade Raymond
Not quite Sega...

@ORO_ERICIUS I doesn't feel like you are replying to what I said...

really looking forward to this or any news/demos of PSVR2

Re: Ghostwire: Tokyo (PS5) - Not the Bethesda Swansong We Hoped For
I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Bethesda games on PlayStation in future.
Re: Ghostwire: Tokyo (PS5) - Not the Bethesda Swansong We Hoped For
@jFug The PushSquare scale is always at least one less than every other site!
Re: Ghostwire: Tokyo (PS5) - Not the Bethesda Swansong We Hoped For
I'm glad that this is a reasonable length. I'll definitely pick up when it is discounted!
Re: Tekken: Bloodline Is a Netflix Animated Series Coming Later This Year
I'd never play the games, but the story seems interesting, so I will probably watch this.
Re: UK Sales Charts: Gran Turismo 7 Still Leading the Pack Following Online Issues
@Welsh_Will I still don't understand the reasoning why this game has to be always online. There should be an option to play only offline.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 418
I'm playing crash team racing nitro, and maybe the Stranger of Paradise demo, if I find any time.

Re: Poll: Did You Buy Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin?
I'm going to be playing the demo when I get a spare moment. Sometimes, playing a demo is satisfying enough for me as I have very limited gaming time.
