Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 497

Beerheadgamer82

Currently The Callisto Protocol from Plus. Not a terrible first impression at all tbh, albeit only 6 hours in barely halfway through first playthrough taking my time trying not to miss collectables. Not really finding it scary, more blood splattering and brutal limbs flying more than anything. Really good atmosphere and sounds too. If decide to platinum is where the repetitive baton combat dodging annoyance might come into play on maximum security difficulty, apparently supposed to be really annoying on that diff?. Overall enjoying Callisto Protocol so far and is scratching that halloween itch atm. Hoping to play some more Boltgun before Spiderman 2 and MGS collection

Re: The Last of Us 2 PS5 Remaster Seems to Be Real

Beerheadgamer82

Well they ain't releasing Factions 2, Part 3 or a brand new IP anytime soon so why not. Adore both Part 1 and 2 so I'm naturally a little biased towards the series. The real question if this ends up true is, with Naughydog saying Part 1 was a remake and put a lot of work into it for justifying the 70 price, well this is a remaster so shouldn't be anywhere near 70 then?. If Naughtydog go the Uncharted 4 Lost Legacy Death Stranding remastered cheap upgrade route if you have the previous PS4 version digitally or physically already, that would be nice

Re: Sony Pictures Core Movie App Launches Today on PS5, PS4 with Exclusive Benefits

Beerheadgamer82

Cherry pick my favs on physical 4K but this will be a nice added free benefit for premium subs and possibly to a slightly lesser degree for Essential and Extra at a later date. I'll use the many selected free movies on Premium for like a free rental and if really enjoy that free rental I'll grab the physical 4K for it. Care far more about games on home console but I'll take a free movie every now and then that I ain't seen before, why not

Re: Upcoming PS5, PS4 Games for October and November 2023

Beerheadgamer82

@Smiffy01 found a good method of buying my must play games digitally or physically every now and then and in between using PS Plus for games like Sniper Elite 5, it's working for me atm. I do get the non sub approach as well, as its far less complicated by just focusing on buying the games you want and never worrying about when they leave Extra. With subs I have played so many games I don't think I'd ever consider trying or I've always been 50/50 on, so if you subbed you can go oh I might as well try it if it tickles my fancy a little, whereas with outright buying a game that you aint so sure about is always risky, not that you need a sub to try out new games but the sub can be a benefit for that very reason

Re: Upcoming PS5, PS4 Games for October and November 2023

Beerheadgamer82

All that matters is Spiderman 2 and MGS collection. Hotwheels Unleashed 2 can wait. Very excited for many games over the next 6 months. Unfortunately money and time doesn't grow on trees. So many games have to be put on hold for chunky sales later on while trying to priorities other new occasional releases. Yearly Premium sub helps a lot though despite already finishing many of the must plays on the service ages ago

Re: Reminder: Last Chance to Claim Your PS Plus Essential PS5, PS4 Games for September

Beerheadgamer82

@PrettyPawsome all depends on how much of the repetitive combat I can take tbh. All games have some sort of repetitive nature to them so I'm kinda naturally used to it in a way. About to plat Powerwash Simulator soon which can be naturally so repetitive. Gameplay is so important though, more important than story and graphics imo. One things for sure though if end up deleting and moving on, is I won't be pretending to be a Mr know it all of a game I've only put a few hours in. I wouldn't call a game the best ever after only a few hours, likewise I wouldn't make out a game to be the worst ever after only a few hours

Re: Rumour: State of Play Incoming? Death Stranding 2 Dev Photo Seems to Suggest Showcase

Beerheadgamer82

Like I said I adored part 2 and there's nothing you or anyone can say to change that. No issues with a woman going to gym to get revenge for her fathers death. I mean if someones murdered my Dad I'd be doing exactly the same as what Abbey did in that world. I actually thought it was very clever in its approach of having to let us play as the character whose just killed our beloved main, takes balls for any devs to do that and perfectly fits into that apocalyptic world where humans are more dangerous than the living dead. You say SuckerPunch and Bend are picking up their slack, how is that when Naughtydog SuckerPunch and Bend all released their latest game rougly around the same time as each other, all 3 haven't released a new game since but Naughtydog is the only one getting a little hate, weird

Re: PS Plus Extra Game for November Revealed Super Early

Beerheadgamer82

Seen the 4 dlc expansions road map for the game for the next 12 months over on the PS blog. What happens when the game is removed from Extra, means we'll have to buy the game to carry on with the expansions. Unless all 4 expansions release long before it leaves Extra?. Hopefully the main game will be more than fun enough without many of the expansions anyway?. Either way it's nice it's included day one. Looks like could be good fun worth a try

Re: Rumour: State of Play Incoming? Death Stranding 2 Dev Photo Seems to Suggest Showcase

Beerheadgamer82

@NotSoCryptic I adored part 2 for having a set of balls putting story and apocalyptic world first rather than main characters being untouchable super heroes, I certainly wasn't left salty like half the internet was over it all. You simply dont know what Naughtydog are up to and to say they won't release anything new at all on PS5 is laughable. Can't wait to see what they have to share with us at a future showcase or SoP in the next 24 or 36 months to come. The original TLoU released really late at the end of PS3 gen

Re: Rumour: State of Play Incoming? Death Stranding 2 Dev Photo Seems to Suggest Showcase

Beerheadgamer82

Not expecting anything form Naughtydog this year or much of 2024. it's the one I'm most intrigued with though because we simply don't know what's coming from them for a long time now which is kinda unusual. Factions 2 is one hell of a big question mark, TLoU3 another huge question mark and a brand spanking new Naughtydog IP another question mark. The rumoured GoW Ragnarok Atreus expansion. What's Bluepoint doing. There's just so many question marks from so many 1st party atm which is not the usual norm. We usually know of 1 or 2 1st party games coming soon long before a 1st party is about to be released (Spiderman 2) but we know absolutely nothing after Spiderman 2

Re: Rumour: PS Plus Essential Games for October Leaked

Beerheadgamer82

@MakersMark will be giving it a fair share of time and not just giving up after the first combat encounter. Do like horror so has a better chance than most. All depends on how much I'm enjoying it overall, as the huge never ending backlog will always be creeping up on me if I'm not enjoying it so much. Regardless I should complete it once at least, I don't see why not, or if enjoying it more than expected I'll go for its platinum?

Re: Jim Ryan Praises PlayStation Home for Being '10-15 Years Ahead of Its Time'

Beerheadgamer82

@__jamiie nope I don't think Jim Ryan is wonderful or do I think he plays games and quite frankly I really don't care if he does or doesn't. You don't need to be gaming to sell a console, all you need to know is business. OK there wasn't any connection to Mark Cerny or Phil Spencer in your original comment when I replied I'll give you that but it was my frustration coming through more than anything. There is literally nothing in this article that would paint Jim Ryan as a moron. Just admit it you originally overreacted to this article because you hate Jim Ryan its OK. Also you believing that there's more people who hate PS Home in comparison to those that like it doesn't make you correct. Yh there's some bias towards a PlayStation console, I'm not in anyway trying to hide that, no real need to get the other consoles tbh

Wasn't meant as a cheapshot but if that's what you wanna call it OK

Re: Jim Ryan Praises PlayStation Home for Being '10-15 Years Ahead of Its Time'

Beerheadgamer82

I'm all for a PS Home 2. All depends what type of stuff we can do inside it. I can imagine going into PS Home before every gaming session. Has its very own updated daily gaming news we can check daily. Has our very own trophy room displaying our most rare plats and rarest trophies. Each get our own massive PS Stars room to keep track of challenges daily. Or even something like a big PS Plus room

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 495

Beerheadgamer82

Only been able to play a little Unpacking. Health took a massive nosedive since Monday night with one of the worst flu I've ever had and only just recently got better but still only 90% back to normal. Was gonna carry on with RE4remake for Separate Ways but flu has made it impossible to do this week. RE4remake requires you to be fully switched on with your quick normal reaction times and its easy to miss collectables with a flu. Torturous nightmare this week. Can now save RE4remake for October at least

Re: Microsoft One Step Closer to Activision Buyout as CMA Approves of Deal Changes

Beerheadgamer82

@Deljo focusing time and money on your favourite one console makes a lot of sense to a lot of gamers. Focus and time being the key points here. Having all 3 can be a waste of money because there's never enough time to enjoy them all nevermind having the money for them all and their subscriptions that go along with it. Priorities also being another key point. Why have all 3 when your favourite out of the 3 would be used 90% of the time, 2nd favourite 9% of the time and your least favourite 1% of the time possibly just ending up a dust collector. Everyone games differently and it's not just a clear option of simply having them all, that doesn't make sense for many. Can easily focus on all PS5 games and PS Plus by completely ignoring the other vise versa

Re: Microsoft One Step Closer to Activision Buyout as CMA Approves of Deal Changes

Beerheadgamer82

@GeeForce having two trillion in the bank doesn't give a company any automatic rights to go around buying up some of the biggest and best in the business and then go onto lock out well over half the entire home console install base by potentially making hundreds of 3rd party games now only available on XboxPC. This doesn't contain a few games like most acquisitions do, hence why the long drawn out court battles. Microsoft has a history of monopoly and if they're stupidly allowed to carry on this path of more big acquisitions in the near close future then its nothing other than a genuine monopoly, it's already a monopoly to me right now as it is

Re: Microsoft One Step Closer to Activision Buyout as CMA Approves of Deal Changes

Beerheadgamer82

@Godot25 I was referring to Sony spending almost an actual 80 billion of real money like Microsoft has, so yes I am correct it is literally 100% IMPOSSIBLE for Sony to do the same with real money. Your method is completely different to what I was originally on about. Also Sony would never be stupid enough to take that sort of risk, they obviously don't have deep pockets like some. It's definitely possible for Sony to spend I dunno guessing 5 to 8 billion on a chunky acquisition of their own at some point but nothing like close to 80 billion that's genuinely impossible for Sony. I'm not really sure why you have to keep altering what I originally said just to go better with your narrative, its a little weird

Re: Microsoft One Step Closer to Activision Buyout as CMA Approves of Deal Changes

Beerheadgamer82

@theSpectre I understand it from a different set of fans pov, like they just wanna have all the good games and play them all because that's what all types of gamers really want. It's the false comparisons between the acquisitions and how there of equal measure that's annoying to read everytime. I mean there's a reason Microsoft had to go to court for their recent acquisition and Sony didn't have to for theirs, tells you all you need to know. Surely Xbox fans can count and know the difference between 69 billion and 3.6 billion or surely they know the difference between an acquisition having 100+ games compared to an acquisition that has only a few games. If Xbox fans think that's of the same equal then they must be in cuckoo land or just most likely bending the truth to suit the console they game on, it happens nothing new there

Re: Microsoft One Step Closer to Activision Buyout as CMA Approves of Deal Changes

Beerheadgamer82

@Godot25 we are getting Xbox defenders here saying if PS do it why can't Xbox, absolutely nothing wrong with that. That's simply not true in recent reality though is it. Sure both have done many similar size acquisitions in the past but I'm specifically talking about Sony having to spend almost 80 billion like Microsoft recently has is impossible for Sony to do that, so I'm not wrong. Not in anyway bending the truth here like some here are. UNPRECEDENTED

Re: Microsoft One Step Closer to Activision Buyout as CMA Approves of Deal Changes

Beerheadgamer82

@Netret0120 Insomniac was 229 million and had been releasing many exclusive games for Playstations many years before being acquired by Sony. Bungie at 3.6 billion ain't no small change but was only allowed to be purchased with all their games Destiny Marathon remaining 3rd party for all. Meanwhile Microsoft almost 80 billion on two of the biggest game company's in the industry with so many games that it would become unhealthy to list them all here. Yh you can obviously say oh well Sony would do the same if they also had similar money for it, but that's purely based on fantasy, not the reality of what's currently going on

Re: Microsoft One Step Closer to Activision Buyout as CMA Approves of Deal Changes

Beerheadgamer82

It's crazy to think that in 2019 every gamer thought all those many Bethesda and ActiBlzz games were all 3rd party as usual. Fast forward almost 4 years that's no longer the case. Can you imagine saying to someone while they're playing his/her PS4 in 2019 that by 2023 onwards all those many games have a good chance of never coming to PlayStation ever again, you'd never imagine that in 2019 but here we are. Never known anything like it before and how those leaked emails read it looks like it won't be ending anytime soon. These are hundreds of potential games not just half a dozen. Mind boggling greed because they're so crap at delivering good high quality 1st party games with the studios they had before consistently every year, spend 80 billion so they can deliver every year on 1st party at the expense of making so many great longtime 3rd party games as exclusives. Not a handful of games but potentially hundred+. It's their greed for GamePass and wanting to be the Netflix of gaming. Disgusting

Re: Preview: Like a Dragon, SEGA's Once Embattled Yakuza Series, Has Never Been Better

Beerheadgamer82

@thefourfoldroot1 have a lot more patience than I do. I get to a point after the story is complete thinking to myself well I've already put in 70 to 100+ hours into the game already and what's usually left for plat is usually all the boring mundane repetitive stuff that I didn't much care for while enjoying the story. The mundane that is left after story completion can require another 30 to 50+ hours for plat. Just satisfied getting all sub stories, defeating Amon and as much of all other miscellaneous trophies in the story as I can
