Could be the price hike or could be that some who were gonna get a PS5 in Japan around this time have decided to wait for the PS5 Pro instead. Hazard a guess it's both these reasons why PS5 sales are not the usual numbers?

My current personal rule on remasters are if it's a highly enjoyable game to me then I don't mind but most importantly it has to have the £5 or £10 upgrade with it if already own it previously physically digitally or you can shove that £40, £60, £70 remaster up ya a**hole where it belongs. Days Gone and HZD wouldn't mind platting all over again for a small upgrade cost. More on DS2 and release date would be nice

@Ainu20 I know yh enjoyed the demo of it when it first released but never got round to grabbing, to busy on the new PS Plus tiers at the time and backlog. The original and best RE 90s trilogy all would feature in my own top 10 games of all time list

You'd have to imagine there will be a Showcase this time next year 2025 when there's a few more PS 1st party games closer to being finished and closer to release?

Off topic but just grabbed Tormented Souls for £1.59 on PS store sales, ideal survival horror for next month. Also have to mention The Crew 2 is 79p

Can you imagine just how good a new Motorstorm game would look now on PS5 or PS6. Resistance, Infamous or Killzone on PS6 too. All for much more new IP but no harm in having a few sequels from Motorstorm or Resistance as well

@riceNpea Bloodborne was my first experience of a Souls game in 2015 or 16. Do remember my first impressions were really good and then a little later like many do on their first time with any Souls game just end up frustrated😆. Granted something only like half a dozen hours with it and that was almost 10 years ago now. If tried again now there's a possibility could get to grips with it a bit more with some patience but my gaming time and huge never ending backlog sometimes has other ideas

@riceNpea each to their own. Bloodborne looks great with the gothic vibes and all, just find it's combat slow and sluggish like all Souls games are, not my cup of tea tbf. I respect diehards of these Souls games tho and adore watching the speedruns some do

Interested in this one a little more since reading the comments here. Finding out its not exactly proper souls and almost GoW and DMC kinda difficult rather than the mostly annoying Souls formula while still not being easy has got me interested a bit more. Will have to watch some reviews now and keep more of an eye on it

My eyeballs and earholes will definitely be on it. Not expecting much as usual but it's video game content and stuff, it's not like we get a huge amount of video game related shows. Have nothing else to do around the time of the show too, so why not

The rumoured Death Stranding 2 update would be nice

@Americansamurai1 I know yh some sort of fantasy scifi horror of sorts. As much as I adore a much anticipated sequel, there's nothing quite like a PS 1st party new IP reveal. There's quite a few new PS 1st party reveals to come at some point soon, can't wait

How difficult is it for Sony to put Stars on console, I'd imagine not very difficult at all. The app just eventually puts up a needless barrier, as it's less likely to be used by gamers compared to if it were on console. Stars being on console has the potential to help with user engagement numbers too?

@trev666 rarely use it on the app. If or when it comes to console I'll be checking up on Stars almost daily

@LowDefAl would be nice if that's the case. It's a fairly decent but slim possibility. As you say it could explain the app playing up?

@TrickyDicky99 yh I know what you mean. It's like if I adored Elden Ring be looking forward to its dlc, yes annoying no trophies but still play the s##t out of it. The trouble with some of the PS1 classics on Premium is I still own some of them physically on the original PS1 console and can just whip those out instead, having new trophies on PS classics there's no need to whip out the PS1. Could even whip out the DS and play Resident Evil Deadly Silence instead of no trophies premium version

@TrickyDicky99 maybe there's a huge chunk of gamers that really enjoy getting trophies. What I find baffling sometimes is when someone is super enjoying a game but deletes it after completion of the campaign when they could have got so much more continued fun out of it by going for the rest of the trophies and platinum

Well this is very welcome news. Hopefully the original Resident Evil gets trophies added soon unless Capcom are doing a classic trilogy collection at some point. Would love to attempt some speed run trophies on classic REs. Ridge Racer Type 4 too

Haha what a clown. Full of himself after one really decent Xbox Showcase, meanwhile PS has had plenty of those over the past decade, albeit not so much in recent years. Take away the almost 80 billion spent in the last few years and this Xbox Showcase would have been average at best. PS don't need to purchase huge 3rd party publishers for 80 billion to create a great Showcase

@IamJT didn't think it was terrible or anything like that, just first impressions for me on my end wasn't the best. Not experienced enough of the game yet for genuine proper opinion on it, still could be really good yet

@AdamNovice was expecting a better first impression after reading all its positive praise and gameplay vids since it originally released. Its weird because I enjoyed the Dredge mini game version in Dave the Diver more than the actual Dredge game itself. Think Dave the Diver for me has a more fun gameplay loop I dunno. Could change when give Dredge more time though?

Tried Dredge for first time the other day on Extra while in the middle of enjoying Dave the Diver and was honestly very bored throughout its first hour. Plan on giving Dredge a few more hours so hopefully could get a bit better?

Enjoyed its main game campaign but haven't got round to any of its previous 2 dlc expansions. Now they're adding a 3rd I hope they do a bundle deal that includes all 3 at a slightly cheaper price and if bundle goes on a sale it'll be a bit more lower priced

Just gonna try enjoy the show for what it is. Its video games at the end of the day regardless if many of the reveals won't be to my tastes much at all. Do prefer The Game Awards a little more than SGF

Part 3 is a must imo, so is new IPs of course. ND obviously ain't stupid they know this. Forever one of my fav studios. If remasters don't hinder sequels or new IP much at all then it's a no brainer

@CrashBandicoat there is Ghost of Tsushima and its sequel to look forward to or are those of no interest either?. For me personally when PS 1st party is firing on all cylinders they do it better than the many 3rd party releases. We all need the 3rd party releases tho

A bit longer to make these huge triple AAA these days but I reckon the 2nd half of PS5 gen is gonna be a massive improvement over its 1st half. 2025, 26 and 27 are gonna be huge reveals wise for PS5 with improved SoP or Showcases, similar to or better than PS4s 2nd half?

I'd like to imagine if there is a Spider-man 2 expansion it's being saved for Summer Game Fest and a bigger Wolverine reveal is being saved for a bigger Showcase or another SoP later this year, would be nice. But yh Astro Bot saved that SoP last night from being marginally below ok. Aliens being PSVR2 only, this hurt me

Until Dawn was a fun time when first platted it in 2015 but this will be a no from me. Unless of course like others have said, it's a £10 upgrade path then yh it's a yes from me

This being an SoP and not the so called bigger Showcase, possibly means PlayStations reveals at Summer Games Fest could be a lot bigger than expected and potentially the big PS Showcase is later this year for what's to come in 2025 and potentially 2026 along with a PS5pro reveal. If we do get a Showcase this year that is
