Re: Hands On: Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 Update Is an Outstanding, Game-Changing Overhaul

Beerheadgamer82

This the first time that this game now genuinely feels like the best time to jump back in. Will be hoping to finally jump back in later this year at some point, maybe very early next year. Quite a few many backlog to do for now and MGS collection and Spiderman2 round the corner plus Hogwarts Legacy still sealed for December. Might get my moneys worth from Cyberpunk2077 now. Better late, than never at all, even though it should have been heavily delayed, especially on PS4 and ONE or completely skipping last gen

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Baldur's Gate 3?

Beerheadgamer82

An absolute noob with zero gaming experience with this type of game but also have massive fomo too given all the high praise and positivity its been deservedly getting. Thought it was just PC where these games were huge with the console side being far more niche. Hoping many other development teams take note

Re: Preview: Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Plays Like PS5 Superhero Perfection

Beerheadgamer82

@Sakai think the last bland open world Ubisoft I played was FC6. If Ubisofts open worlds was as much fun as Insomniacs Spiderman and Miles Morales then not only would it lose some its not so good reputation its known for, it would also more than triple their game sales. Although I suppose Spiderman is such a huge name anyway and if Ubisoft did their usual bland open world version of a Spiderman game it would sell a bit more than they're used to because the Spiderman name alone

Re: Preview: Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Plays Like PS5 Superhero Perfection

Beerheadgamer82

@Cashews lol looks good to me and looks more fun than Elden Ring, Breath of the Wild and GTA5 combined, that's all that matters to me. I don't really care what anybody else thinks to be perfectly honest, hence why I said what I said. Its a really good put together preview even if it didn't need to mention Elden Ring, Breath of the Wild or GTA5 but I also get why it does, for context and comparison of other open worlds

Re: State of Play Livestream Revealed for Thursday, a Focus on Indie and Third-Party Games

Beerheadgamer82

@Cashews I'd really like to own a Switch. It's mostly down to money and time though. I agree having them all is always best but that's simply not an option for so many. So concentrating time and money on one makes a lot of sense for a lot of gamers. I do hate some opinions trying to come across as if they have a far better more valid opinion than others because they own them all kinda mentality, not all that own them all are like that but I hate the ones that do. I'd like to have them all tbh

Re: State of Play Livestream Revealed for Thursday, a Focus on Indie and Third-Party Games

Beerheadgamer82

@Grumblevolcano At some point there has to be on off year or 18 months of not much going on. Games get pushed back or heavily delayed all the time like TLoU multiplayer for example. There's been reports of games taking a lot longer than previous gen too. Still far more excited for what's to come on PS5 than I am on other consoles. Never played Skyrim, just never interested me over the years so naturally something like Starfield doesn't interest me in the slightest, same with any Fallout game has never been to my tastes either. Even when looking at whats to come for Xbox in the future doesn't excite me much at all tbh. Do like all sorts of racing games so naturally Forza peaks my interests, but is that really worth splashing out 500 for a Series X and a few months GamePass, not really. Do miss a Zelda adventure and a new fun Mario platformer from time to time. On the other hand PS have so many games, like a lot of sequels I can't wait to play and new unannounced IP from quite a few PS studios I really adore. Even the PS4 had an of off year or almost a couple years with not much going on but then hit the ground running from 2017 HZD onwards. Previous PS Showcase was a let down, there's no denying that but it ain't all doom and gloom like some like to paint it. Can't just click your fingers and expect a game to magically get announced when they can take up to 4 or maybe 6 years to make, sometimes longer. So yh sometimes there's gonna be remasters, remakes and the many great 3rd party games that we rely on to fill the gaps inbetween

Re: State of Play Livestream Revealed for Thursday, a Focus on Indie and Third-Party Games

Beerheadgamer82

@UltimateOtaku91 and then there's the day one 3rd party on GamePass Wu Long and Lies of P for example. Be really fascinating to see how much they end up costing Microsoft for these biggish 3rd party day ones, cant be cheap and in the long run will get super expensive. Sony having more subs and more consoles in homes, means they'll have to pay more than what Microsoft currently does for the exact same game day one on Plus if they went the similar route. Its things some gamers don't think about or simply don't care about and that's obviously fine because why would you care when your gaming, couple trillion vs many a billions and all that jazz

I'd love to see Nintendo go all out and be a fully updated home console instead of already being 3 or 5 years behind on every new console launch. I'm not having any of that argument about oh Nintendo don't need to be updated with the latest and greatest. Why not Nintendo having a proper full 4K 60fps rays HDR home console no gimmicks and a brand new top tier dedicated handheld as well for the massive handheld crowd. No need for any Nintendo gamers to worry about parity in many massive 3rd party games this way. Also Nintys 1st party will look the best it's ever looked and silky smooth. Throw in their own version of trophies as well why not

Re: State of Play Livestream Revealed for Thursday, a Focus on Indie and Third-Party Games

Beerheadgamer82

Nintendo Switch I'd hazard a guess would take less time to develop their 1st party games in comparison to the latest PS5 and Series X 1st party releases, hence why the Switch has been more consistent over the last few years on their 1st party side. Weird to think if Microsoft wasn't able to spend 7.5 billion for Starfield and Bethesda, all they'd have this year would be yet another Forza game

Re: State of Play Livestream Revealed for Thursday, a Focus on Indie and Third-Party Games

Beerheadgamer82

Lol just knew some in the comments section will be going nutcases over this announcement, especially when the focus of this SoP will be indies and 3rd party only

Just finished my first playthrough of Shredders Revenge with Donatello from Extra on PS5, enjoyed it very much. And then afterwards came here for the news to read people acting as if Sony has just murdered their family pet or something. Like what did you expect, we all knew before this SoP announcement that there's not much 1st party over the next 6 months or more besides Spidey2

This SoP was not in anyway a reaction to Nintendos current Direct announcement, so stupid if you think that it was

Would I like a bit more 1st party from PS, yh of course I would, but over 90% of all the games I play on PlayStation are 3rd party games with quite a few indies too

Re: Colossal PS Store Sale Plunges Thousands of PS5, PS4 Prices

Beerheadgamer82

@Templedoom something like used CeX games can also be good for buying a game used that you don't want to support like the recent no effort port of RDR1. I get what you saying though and you aint wrong. When a new game is good and lots of effort has gone into it there's so many that will day one it still or eventually get it new digitally or physically a few months later

Re: Marvel's Spider-Man 2's PS5 Recreation of New York City Looks Ridiculous

Beerheadgamer82

Has HDR been a very underrated feature in video games, in 4K movies as well, I think it has. I remember getting my first 4K tv around 2018 I think it was (bought a bigger and better tv since then 2.1) and then experiencing my first game in HDR on a base PS4. Everything just popped so much better and the colors were on another level, even on the base PS4 at the time. In most reviews it's all about pixels and fps with HDR rarely ever getting a mention. Maybe I'm missing something as to why or it's simply not as important as more pixels, I dunno, I really like the HDR in gaming and 4K movies

Re: Looks Like One of PS5's Best Games Is Getting a Complete Edition

Beerheadgamer82

Some seem to forget or dont realise HZD 2017 is Guerillas first attempt at open world and I thought it was top tier. For a first attempt at open world Guerilla did it better than many that have been doing open worlds for 20+ years. Sequel HFW obviously looks better plays better and I didn't mind the story at all but wanted a little more from the final mission. Loved HFW gameplay enemy variation. HFW is just pure quality overall. Burning Shores story expansion was fantastic too. Also Decima engine. Adore the world of Horizon and really looking forward to what's next in this world. Never once got bored of main Aloy and I think she's absolutely beautiful and not fat in anyway

Re: Spider-Man 2 Anticipation Mounts with Two New PS5 Images

Beerheadgamer82

Lack of communication yh I agree with that considering theirs zero about 1st party in 2024 after Spidey2. One things for sure though, they ain't sitting on their backsides with all their ovens off. A rumoured SoP this year that hits the spot will go a long way, has to be slightly above decent at the very least with a peep at a 1st party for next year? I dunno lol. So many PS 1st party studios tight lipped for a long time now. Thank god for Insomniac games. Rise of Ronin, StellaBlade and SH2 ain't to far away

Re: Reaction: Has Sony Put Together the Worst PS Plus Month Ever?

Beerheadgamer82

Does PlayStation have to spend more money per game to be on PS Plus than Xbox does for GamePass because PS has almost double the install base and more Plus Subs. Pretty sure I read about it last year but I can't remember where, should possibly be somewhere on the internet about it unless I've got it mixed up with something else. Not specifically talking about Xbox GamePass 3rd party day ones like Wu Long or Lies of P, those will naturally be very expensive to be day one, I mean the ones that come to subscriptions about a year after release. It will be really interesting to know how much both PS and Xbox have had to pay for Sea of Stars given how it's day one on both, unfortunately we'll most likely never know

Re: Reaction: Has Sony Put Together the Worst PS Plus Month Ever?

Beerheadgamer82

Yh it's a bad Essential month overall but only because I've already played Saints Row. The price increase has made this Essential month far worse. Fortunately my 12 month £99.99 Premium renewed only a week ago. YES I WILL DEFINITELY BE RENEWING MY 12 month £120 Premium on August 2024 because there's still so many games that are on Extra or will be coming to Extra that I simply haven't played yet. The amount of money I will be saving yearly by relying on Extra to play many games is still very huge when comparing to buying the games separately new, used, physically or digital. Should go without saying, a game like Spiderman 2 is a day one for me regardless of its £69.99 price tag and will be worth every penny

Re: PS Plus Essential, Extra, Premium Price Increases Announced by Sony

Beerheadgamer82

I've quickly gone through the comments and I haven't noticed anyone say Premium has gone up less than £2 a month which is essentially what this is but all of this looks way worse when you read £20 quid extra a year. Not in anyway trying to defend a payrise for the sub I'm not stupid enough to do that but it does sound a little better when you say to yourself it's gone up just under £2 a month. Either way it sucks, unless they've got some good quality to add to the sub soon like managing to get PS3 and PS2 classics on Premium and Extra

Re: Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Could Be Close to 100GB in Size

Beerheadgamer82

@KundaliniRising333 icon chasing, I don't think Insomniac will remove all the icons on the map just to please one or a dozen gamers complaining. I like to know where to go when slowly revealing parts of any open world map over time, instead of endlessly looking for things that simply ain't there, which would irritate waste of time and just end up using a youtube location guide vid anyway, which then would make removing icons a useless idea to begin with unless you are willing to put 200+ hours into waisting time in a Spidey game but it looks like you've only put barely couple hours into it (assuming) from the looks of it. I'd be surprised if Spidey 2 has backpacks to collect as they were just an optional very light back story to Peters life which brings a little personality to the character we're playing as. Follow up Spidey game Miles Morales didn't have any backpacks and I highly doubt Spidey2 will. Fair enough its not your cup of tea but I am very curious though what the alternative to a non open world Spidey game is which also has no icons on its map either, right now I simply I don't see any other alternative at all tbh. Maybe an Elden Ring world where there's hardly any super tall buildings sort of like a Lord of The Rings type world (far less dense than a Spiderman game) could be perfect for no icons but it would have to be built from the start with the intention in mind of exploration for the no icons to work in any open world map but many games that have huge open world maps simply need quite a lot of icons for it to be properly playable?. Spidey is all about (mostly) fast flowing gameplay, simply adding huge exploration to reveal every icon yourself sort of defeats the purpose of Spiderman?

Re: Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Could Be Close to 100GB in Size

Beerheadgamer82

Bring on all those collectables, base camps, enemies on top of buildings, underground sewer missions and all the other side content and side missions, I can wait to tackle them all. If many Ubisoft games were as fun and high quality as Insomniacs Spidey games theres no way Ubisoft would have most of the bad rep it currently has. Its like you can't make a good open world game anymore these days without being compared to some of Ubisofts boring offerings. Ubi didnt create open worlds and they're cerfainly not the pinnacle just because they do a lot of it. For many its more about the Spiderman main story missions which put many Ubisoft main story missions to shame. If you want a Spiderman game to be tight linear non open world, that's like wanting a Gran Turismo game with no cars. Spiderman needs to be open world swinging from building to building, you simply can't swing from building to building in a tight linear Spidey game, makes no sense whatsoever

Re: PS5 Is Now Trending Ahead of PS4 Life-to-Date Sales in US, Despite All the Stock Setbacks

Beerheadgamer82

To me its hardly surprising at all. While most of this year has been a little quite on their bigger triple A 1st party side, I do think the PS5 console is a very intriguing looking thing, a little awkward looking yes but a very interesting thing nonetheless and it genuinly grows on you, for me it did anyways. I held a PS5 DualSense in my hand for the very first time in early 2021 as a store were testing a PS5, a few months before getting my own and I remember instantly falling in love with the DualSense there and then making me even more excited to get my hands on my own PS5. There's the PS Plus subscription improvements last year with the Extra sub offering so many high quality games instantly when you sub. So many gamers will be wanting to play Spidey2, GoT2, Wolverine or hoping for TLoU part 3 and of course the many great 3rd party games

Re: Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 Previews Are Massively Positive

Beerheadgamer82

@JB_Whiting in the gamespot article that's linked here, it briefly goes over the coop when in single player campaign saying something like the bot partners feel more useful rather than useless, like they'll help you up when you get floored which I think means reviving you when almost dying. Still very much looking forward to it as I also adored the first one on PS3. Sometimes just get a little concerned when coop is added to single player campaigns. Just hope it doesn't release in a super busy month full of many other must plays

Re: Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 Previews Are Massively Positive

Beerheadgamer82

Hoping campaign coop doesn't detract anything away from playing the campaign in single player. Also trophies are sometimes affected by multiplayer, having to rely on others for trophies hugely irritates me. Not saying adding coop is a bad thing, just hoping it doesn't effect single player in anyway. Used to annoy me playing Dead Island 1 in single player and then watching the cutscenes thinking to myself where the f*** did you magically appear from, you wasn't there at all while I was playing the game these last couple hours wtf

Re: Konami Forced to Clarify MGS Master Collection Is 1080p, Up to 60FPS on PS5, PS4

Beerheadgamer82

@LifeGirl still own the game sitting on my shelf. Haven't properly played Twin Snakes since completing it once around release. The MGS1 PS1 original on the other hand is possibly my 3rd most times finishing a game at well over a dozen times. Most likely done more 90s RE1, RE2 and RE3 playthroughs given how shorter they are to finish, each having more than a dozen playthroughs
