Re: State of Play Officially Confirmed for 30th May, Updates on PS5, PSVR2 Games

Beerheadgamer82

Be lying if said ain't a little excited for this given how there's actually 1st party this time in this SoP. Of course expectations are always in check still. Trying to get my head round it, as to what those 1st party releases are that are releasing this year, all that comes to mind is Concord and Astrobot off the top of my head. Hopefully a big 1st party release coming this year none of us saw coming would be nice. Wonder if Silent Hill 2 and MGS3 remakes be ready for this year

Re: Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 Confirms PvE and PvP Multiplayer Modes

Beerheadgamer82

Really looking forward to this, adored the first. Waiting for tons of reviews tho first. Is the single player campaign perfectly playable solo without the need of a coop partner to be enjoyed properly and how chunky long and fun is the campaign, hence wait for the reviews. Don't hate multiplayer ain't so big on it tho but this Warhammer SM2 world always has the potential to be something special multiplayer wise

Re: A Lot of PS4 Owners Have Yet to Upgrade to PS5

Beerheadgamer82

Still have my PS4 but don't play it since PS5 plays PS4. Pretty much just boot up PS4 to update it these days but everytime I do I kinda miss it in a way, the DualShock4 and all those PS4 gaming memories. 2014 to 2022 on PS4 such a great time and will go down as one of my favourite consoles no doubt about that

Re: Sony: The Future Is Incredibly Bright for PlayStation

Beerheadgamer82

Their longterm vision ok, I'd like to see a very huge tasty slice of that in a showcase. Pretty sure PlayStation themselves ain't idiots and have looked into the reactions of their previous showcases and some SoPs and gone yh its been pretty disappointing reaction wise from fans these last 2 or 3 years and now we need to do something about this, you'd like to imagine that's their thought process. Not surprising though given how big triple AAA games these days are having longer development times than before. A bit more of a peep would be nice for what's to come

Re: Helldivers 2 Is Selling at a Faster Rate Than Spider-Man 2 in the UK

Beerheadgamer82

Comparing both these game sales is fine but comparing both these games quality when both games are completely different is not fine. Absolutely nothing wrong with Spider-man 2. Insomniac have done top tier work in creating their version of open world Spider-man games, so much fun swinging flying around on it for me. HD2 ain't for me but nice to see it doing really well regardless

Re: Starfield, Indiana Jones Aren't Coming to PS5 Just Yet

Beerheadgamer82

Buy PS5 to play PS5 exclusives and all the 3rd party stuff, not xBoX eXcLuSiVe gAmEs. Especially After watching AngryJoe review Starfield and Red fall. Even the latest Forza Motorsport looks so boring. Wouldn't mind having some of Rares older N64 games though, that collection of Rare games is the only real interest of mine, Sunset Overdrive too

Re: Hogwarts Legacy Beats Modern Warfare 3, Spider-Man 2 as Most Downloaded PS5 Game of 2023

Beerheadgamer82

Might not be many open world games in there, a bit more linear or sports game. Although Spidey2 and Hogwarts legacy open worlds are top or near the top, just goes to show how popular an open world game can be when done right. Not a dig at turnbased BG3 or other none open worlds, was never gonna be as popular as a well made open world is, especially with the name Spiderman and Potter attached to it. Surprised RE4 not a little higher considering all the praise it gets

Re: The Last of Us 2 Remastered's No Return Mode 'Not Recommended for Weak Hearts', Warns Dev

Beerheadgamer82

On Meds for anxiety and palpitations, appear to by working great so far. Palpitations while harmless(as far as I know) can also be very frightening when they randomly happen from my experiences. Palpitations first happend to me randomly around 2019 with Days Gone when taking on one of the many hordes. Days Gone certainly isn't scary but it was the adrenaline and excitement in the middle of taking on one of these hordes when palpitations first happened from outta nowhere, scared the s**t outta me. While not huge on roguelike itself, it's TLoU so I'll battle through any stressful roguelike moments with joy

Re: PS Plus Essential Games for January 2024 Announced

Beerheadgamer82

@nyXhc420 yh that could work but on occasions I just like to keep some games physically. Sometimes though they get massively reduced after they've just been announced for PS Plus subscriptions, lowering their physical value. If don't feel like keeping some physical games, then I just trade them in store towards the next game

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 508

Beerheadgamer82

Another busy day today, little more shopping, finish off the chores and a family visit. When all is done will be installing Ragnarok again tonight for Valhalla

Still very much enjoying Hogwarts. Barely halfway through its story, mostly doing side missions and collectables along the way. Almost kinda shocked it got completely ignored at the game awards from everything I've played so far

Trying not to demolish to much chocolates and sexy Brewdogs. Have a good one all

Re: Turns Out You Won't Lose Access to Those Discovery TV Shows on PlayStation After All

Beerheadgamer82

I don't really wanna get into how potentially bad digital can be for the consumer. All I'll say is I'm very happy with my physical collection of fav movies, fav music cds and all my fav physical PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4 and PS5 games, yes im still rocking the music cds. Nothing lasts forever of course but I'm far happier when it's physical. Space isn't much of a difficult issue when just sticking to your favs rather than buying everything up because it exists. There's also chunky plastic storage boxes for the older stuff that can be easily and safely stored away in dry corners of rooms that don't get lived in

Don't like to sound like a hypocrite as there is a few digital PS4 and PS5 games I own but those are games that were on very cheap unmissable deals on the PS Store and have eventually grabbed some of those digital games physically later on. PS Plus as well of course

Re: Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Wins Big in PS Blog Awards, Including PS5 Game of the Year

Beerheadgamer82

My goty for 2023 is Marvels Spider-man 2. Thoroughly deserved too. Such a well crafted super hero game in a perfectly suited open world for Pete and Miles to swing around in. Insomniac have nailed it. 2nd to none, with the first two Arkham games very closely behind when it comes to super hero games

Nice to see Hogwarts get a win for PS4 goty too. Currently having so much fun with it, so I can see why

Edit. I think licensed movie games being not so good as games are far behind us now. Recent Hogwarts, recent Insomniac Spidey and previous Arkham games are all top tier. Its just a shame licensed movie games 99.99999% of the time always seem to get ignored or never win at the bigger goty award shows

Re: Analysts Peg PS5's 2023 Sales at Around 22.5 Million Units Worldwide

Beerheadgamer82

A little worried about the next 12 to 18 months 1st party wise. Yh we might get a couple 1st party teasers from outta nowhere in State of Plays and a bigger Showcase in 2024 but how far off would those 1st party games be from actual release. Unless there's 1st party games we know nothing about that are almost ready for release at some point in 2nd half of 2024, would be nice but doubt it. Not massively worried to much as theres still gonna be so many great 3rd and 2nd party games to come next year doing the work like Infinite Wealth, SH2, DS2, Stellar Blade and others

Does PlayStation have a few surprises up their sleeve 1st party wise for 2024, I certainly hope so. Decent State of Plays with decent surprises and a very good Showcase for the near future with some amazing reveals

Adore my PS5 every evening but its the first time in a very long time that I'm very skeptical about PS 1st party going forward

Was worried where I'm going with this, as it appears very unrelated, then I realised State of Plays, Showcases and 1st party contribute to selling PS5s very much

Edit. Having a very boring day today

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 507

Beerheadgamer82

Just Hogwarts atm. Enjoying it a lot so far but that could change depending on how these so called collectables become a slog towards the platinum. Hoping to get a good 8 hours in on it later this afternoon and this evening, once the boring cleaning chores are done

Witcher 3 PS5 and TLoU Part 2 remastered throughout Jan and Feb. Also Teardown inbetween those two and maybe 2 or 3 more slightly smaller PS Plus games

50/50 on installing Ragnarok for Valahalla, very tempted. Most likely save it for next year. Also MGS collection vol 1 saving for next year once many more patch updates. Just really nice to have MGS on modern consoles for whenever feel the sneaky nostalgia again

Re: Big Spider-Man 2 PS5 Patch Planned, But Not Until 2024

Beerheadgamer82

@Nepp67 clearly I understand what you saying. I'm just giving an example of why a NG+ might not be included at launch in comment 18. It might well be the case that NG+ could have released with Spiderman 2 on launch but that original Spiderman 2 launch could have been delayed if the NG+ were to be included?. The main campaign for nearly every development team, is the priority over everything else, surely

Re: Big Spider-Man 2 PS5 Patch Planned, But Not Until 2024

Beerheadgamer82

@Nepp67 why do some games release without New Game + and some do

Here's something I quickly found online, which I've read similarly before a while back

One of the main reasons and perhaps most obvious answers, is the crucial, yet vital, development time studios save by not having to include NG+ at launch, hitting dates to coincide with marketing and avoiding negative crunch press is incredibly important when releasing a game. While it may seem like a simple feature, NG+ is often much more complicated to integrate into a games infrastructure than one may think. Finding and avoiding exploits with a fully upgraded character before allowing them to revisit early game segments with a NG+ run is easier said than done. By not including it at launch developers can put their valuable time and resources towards bugs and polishing that is bound to have a much higher impact on a games review score than the inclusion of NG+ would have

Re: Big Spider-Man 2 PS5 Patch Planned, But Not Until 2024

Beerheadgamer82

@Nepp67 some will include it at launch, many others don't either, it's not just PS 1st party that dont include it at launch. Matters far more to me getting the main campaign buttery smooth as possible and as bug free as possible on launch, and if that means waiting a little for New Game + then so be it

Re: 19 Amazing Games Join PS Plus Extra, Premium Next Week

Beerheadgamer82

@MikeOrator I don't really relate to the every month moan, as I'm quite positive most months per year when theres at least 1 or 2 I want to play per month and I obviously can't speak for other gamers

It's not so much wanting or demanding the games that I think should be on it, more to do with having 1 or 2 games that interest me enough to want to check out every Extra month, this particular month hasn't done that for me personally

A really good never ending backlog genuinely helps when theres a not so good month, rather than saying when my sub ends I'm not renewing mentality. There will always be good and bad months on a personal taste level. We simply dont get to pick and choose what gets picked for subs, the nature of the beast

Edit might try Prodeus?
