Re: Horizon Forbidden West Drives Strong PS5, PS4 Digital Sales

DonJorginho

I see the weirdos of PushSquare are out again who can't handle the fact that some people enjoy digital and prefer it to physical.

Newsflash, people prefer different things for all kinds of reasons, no-one is wrong or right here, just let people enjoy what they want without trying to police it like a bunch of Debbie Downers.

Sounds like the Base DLC is a great value for price and I'm glad I pre-ordered!

I however won't be buying the PS5 Upgrade as it doesn't sound substantial enough to be worth £10.

Considering I can get the content AND the upgrade for Death Stranding Director's Cut for £10 it makes no sense to pay £26.99 for both when it looks identical to the game running on my PS5 via BCC.

All I wanted was 60fps and I got it for free so I'll be fine. Some of the Dualsense implementations sound neat though. I can't wait to sink my teeth into it!

Re: Latest PS Store Sale Offers Nearly 600 PS5, PS4 Mid-Year Deals

@Kidfried And that isn't even including shipping times, potential loss of parcels, damage to the casing/disc etc.

People just like to hate on Digital as it's slowly becoming the most popular form of purchasing media these days and people who love collecting or were raised on it see it as someone taking over their traditions.

I think both forms have their place in the industry and I just wish we could stop this pathetic squabble on gaming forums over this.

@Loftimus I don't get what you're saying mate, you haven't wound me up aha, just saying how OTHER people (not you directly) are getting upset over stupid things like the campaign not being in the game.

I totally get the anti consumer point, I like to expose those points myself too, I just don't get why people are surprised. As soon as Sony announced £70 games it was clear every trashy publisher would use Sony as an excuse for them to do the same and worse.

I won't be using the ignore button as I have no issues with you my friend!

Didn't even have to scroll to see the typical folk come out from the woodworks to state how "this shows why physical is king" or "this shows why I never buy digital"

Newsflash, no-one asked! Everyone has their preference and I don't see why we can't leave it at that without constantly having to have a who has the bigger kn*b contest with how people compare physical and digital media.

Both have their pros and cons, and that's okay! Some people may prefer one over the other, and that's okay!

If you like buying physical for finding deals or having a tangible collection you carry on doing what you enjoy!

And if you like buying digital where you can sacrifice the usual rise in price for an ease of access to your content and other benefits like midnight unlocks on new titles and preloads on upcoming games then you also keep doing what you enjoy!

I hate how we always have to make people feel bad for what they enjoy, it's a massive problem with social media sites and forums especially.

For what it's worth I think the sale is lousy on Sony's part but new Digital PS5 users can get gems like Demon's Souls, MM or Sackboy for a pretty decent discount and an arguably great one if you can get a third party voucher code online via ShopTo and are a fan of the ease of access Digital can bring.
