Re: Spider-Man 2 Won't Receive Any PS5 Story DLC

DonJorginho

Spider-Man 2 was disappointing to me, but broken? No chance, I had one minor glitch on my end and in my 35 hours getting the platinum it was pretty damn smooth sailing.

I’m glad they’re moving onto Venom/Wolverine as SM2 is not going to age well at all in terms of its story and open world.

Re: Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered Sounds Like a Ridiculously Good PS5 Upgrade

DonJorginho

@Gewertzx You say that, but what even is “woke”.

Lots of grifters called Silent Hill 2 Remake woke for making Angela “look like a man”, but it’s just sold 1m copies in 3 days, so that can’t be a failure can it?

Woke is a buzzword used for people who aren’t eloquent enough to critique things, games like Starfield and Concord don’t fail because they’re woke, they fail because they’re bland and lacking ambition, they’re by the numbers games looking to reach wider audiences whilst failing to captivate any of the specific niches enough to become long term fans.

Horizon has been a success, but that’s simply because pretty robot dinosaur games are a hard concept to fail at.

Re: Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered Sounds Like a Ridiculously Good PS5 Upgrade

DonJorginho

@Gewertzx I think the Horizon games are pretty average outside of visuals/combat, but let’s not lie here and pretend there weren’t a million edits on twitter and other social media forums going around for Horizon Forbidden West talking how the game was “woke” as it had made Aloy look “fat and ugly”.

That definitely plays a part for some of the hate it gets online, right wing grifters will over hate on anything that isn’t a white straight male on the cover, only exception is when a female character is overly sexualised like in Stellar Blade!

Re: Deals: Not Feeling the PS5 Pro? PS5 Slim Consoles Are Currently $50/£50 Off

DonJorginho

@Rich33 it’s because Sony aren’t pushing the pro in that way, the pro is a premium option that is made directly for its exact level of demand, they know they’re targeting a niche amount of the fanbase who want this kinda option, now the plan is to cut the price of the standard models to get more casual/middle of the road consumers into the ecosystem hoping there’ll be more to buy the next console/pro refresh.

Re: Crickets as Suicide Squad Endures Another Muted Launch

DonJorginho

Still absolutely hilarious that Rocksteady made this Suicide Squad roadmap with additional characters, and gave the audience 3 characters nobody ever wanted or asked for, and kept the only one that gained hype all the way at the very end of its dismal lifecycle (deathstroke), and once he drops the game will be shut down anyway lmao.

Re: Bickering Begins Over PS5 Pro's Inability to Sell Out

DonJorginho

People are strange and will always find something to complain about, if the console wasn’t selling out it’s a massive failure and is doing terribly, and if it is selling out then Sony have massive stock issues or this is the impending doomsday for consoles as we know them.

You really can’t win.

The price is extortionate and that first showing from Cerny was pitiful, you can find my comments mocking the system. But since that initial announcement I’ve grown to see the value of the unit and it is worth the buy for me.

It won’t be for everyone but if it’s not for you then leave it at that and stop making it your daily business to moan constantly into the void online.

Re: Slitterhead Is the Siren Successor for PS5, PS4 You've Been Craving

DonJorginho

I’ve never had a game disappoint me so much from its initial teaser to now.

I was really expecting something, more unique maybe? This seems like a very generic action game with a few neat elements, but without any of the signature horror aesthetic I expected going into this.

Maybe it’s a me problem for expecting too much, but this needs more time in the oven regardless, even though it’s not for me, for those who are looking forward to it they deserve the best possible version on day one.

Re: Just Three Decisions from Dragon Age: Inquisition Will Carry Over to The Veilguard

DonJorginho

@ApostateMage I think it’s a bit much but at the end of the day it doesn’t utilise resources it’s probably the easiest thing in the world to implement and it’s exclusion wouldn’t make any difference to the game and wouldn’t change the perception for most critics online.

It’s just the modern world we live in where companies want to be inclusive and appeal to the widest range of customers possible, and that includes trans people.

I don’t think this game is doing a dustborne or whatever that terrible game was called where it forced itself upon you with its views, this game seems to just be offering a singular option on a customisation menu and isn’t the end of the world for me anyway.

Re: Just Three Decisions from Dragon Age: Inquisition Will Carry Over to The Veilguard

DonJorginho

@ApostateMage Does that really affect you? It’s a bit much sure but like all other OPTIONAL things in life you can just look the other way, it’s one toggle in a menu with hundreds of customisation choices.

Can we stop this brainless drivel where everything has to be “pandering DEI nonsense” or “based anti woke”

I assure you people who constantly cry about things being woke are just as embarrassing and cringe worthy as those “woke” people to begin with.
