Re: Concord's Free Open Beta Is Performing Abysmally on PC

DonJorginho

People defending this saying "Sony needs these smaller games to do well to fund the big single player games!"

Are you forgetting that this dumpster fire probably cost between £100-200m to make including the studio purchase which was a decision made solely off of this game.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing the Concord Open Beta?

DonJorginho

Hero shooters are already bloated enough these days, let alone a sub par competitor that’s at a semi premium price compared to all its competitors being free to play these days.

Was a slight pass before playing the beta, now definitely a hard pass after suffering through said beta.

Re: Check Out a Full 10 Minute Star Wars Outlaws Quest on PS5

DonJorginho

As a man who loves him some Ubisoft comfort food gaming, and as someone who has always had a Han Solo fantasy as a kid, I'm already there day one.

Yeah the footage is looking a little rough to say the least but as someone who actively enjoys what Massive puts out (even got the platinum for Avatar FoP) I'm more than certain I'll get vast amounts of enjoyment from this between the bigger releases.

Re: FC 25 Reveal Is This Week, Jude Bellingham's on the Cover

DonJorginho

@themightyant in terms of England I’d say the best performers were Mainoo, Guehi, Pickford and Palmer off the bench, Stones also did well in the last few games.

Attack wasn’t flowing like I wanted but I put that down to tactical issues with Gareth and his system.

Jude is a great player but I sometimes fear he’s a bit too hot headed, multiple times in that final he let his frustration get in the way of good attacking plays.

Re: FC 25 Reveal Is This Week, Jude Bellingham's on the Cover

DonJorginho

@nessisonett that was a trio cover tho and he wasn’t alongside “legends”, those days were like general premier league players so made sense, if you had Bellingham, Mbappe and maybe Foden as the cover stars in a trio I’d be happier with it.

Bellingham as a cover star alongside legends of the game though is a bit much for me.

Re: Dr Disrespect Admits Messages to Minor 'Leaned Too Much in the Direction' of Impropriety

DonJorginho

@SteveJaye regardless of the age of consent being different in different regions, if you broke the law for that age of consent where you are that does make you a sexual offender because you’re engaging with someone under the legal age limit and especially being 42 it becomes even worse.

This man had a young daughter and still messaged a minor inappropriately, that is disgusting and should be shamed to the fullest of extents.

Re: Midnight Society Drops Co-Founder, Streamer Dr Disrespect Following Twitch Ban Allegations

DonJorginho

@Savage_Joe

1. James Gunn posted very weird jokes but that’s all they were, jokes, and that was always known, Doc is actually being accused of sexually explicit messages with minors which is completely different and you know it.

2. Of course it’s a constitutional right and I haven’t once said anything along the lines of “lock him up” or anything like that because of that very concept, my point was that people are bending themselves into all kinds of shapes trying to defend him for no reason, he’s innocent till proven guilty but also we have to acknowledge and respect the accuser and what they’ve levelled at him. And also we all know courts can be corrupt, many people sentenced either way have been overturned in years prior due to said corruption so we can’t use it as a blanket rule.

3. I’m not trying to preach anything my friend, just giving my side of an opinion surrounding this very current topic, I don’t speak for anyone and am no political activist, it’s an internet forum and discussion is key. And again it’s a silly meme it’s not a serious thing, if I changed my profile picture to someone else it wouldn’t automatically change my points to being valid now would it?

Re: Midnight Society Drops Co-Founder, Streamer Dr Disrespect Following Twitch Ban Allegations

DonJorginho

@Savage_Joe

1) all the sponsors are running scared after doing internal investigations and are coming to the same conclusion, if that’s not a sign I don’t know what is

2) innocent till proven guilty has been warped into something that is weaponised by the far right to defend their heroes like Trump, going off your logic OJ never did anything wrong because he was found innocent in the court of law!

3) it’s a meme, it ain’t that deep, Kanye is an awful person too, this is you doing a “you criticise society yet are part of society” thinking you delivered a zinger

Re: Star Wars Outlaws Demos Out of This Galaxy PS5 Gameplay

DonJorginho

Clickbaity title given the gameplay seems to be on PC through an Xbox Controller, that being said though I'm liking what I'm seeing of this, especially given my overall enjoyment with Massive's previous works in The Division 1/2 and Avatar FoP, I'm probably a lot more optimistic than many for this.

Re: PS5 Fans Beg Sony for a More Fulfilling Livestream in the Aftermath of Xbox Show

DonJorginho

@naruball 18 First Party games shown by the way, and also even if we were to make the whole gamepass/third party debate, this was better than ANY Sony showcase since the 2015 E3 holy conference.

And this is coming from someone who is regularly critical of Xbox and their decision making, but it’s simply the truth.

This isn’t related but isn’t it funny that Xbox are now currently creating more first party narrative linear titles than Sony because they chose to chase the live service beast and are releasing probable stinkers in Concord and FairGame$, I never would’ve saw that coming at the start of the generation.

Re: Silent Hill 2's PS5 Remake Emerges from the Fog on 8th October

DonJorginho

I think the game is looking a lot better, especially during the extended gameplay sequence, my only issues are Angela’s face looked really off, the framerate was a bit spotty and combat seemed like a really janky reiteration of RE2 Remake’s combat.

But it’s Bloober Team so I expected some jank, if reviews aren’t an absolute car crash I’ll happily pick this up around launch.

Re: Concord Is Sony's Answer to Overwatch, Launches August, Beta Test in July

DonJorginho

@The_Wailing_Doom I’ll change my wording as I don’t mean it to look like it’s £70 but online most people are saying between the £40-50 range which is 40/50 too much, this should’ve been free to play, as there’s just no appeal especially with better free options in Marvels Rivals/xDefiant/Destiny 2 and the imminent premium competitor in Black Ops 6 looking to be a return to form for the franchise

I just don’t see how this doesn’t flop horribly unless Sony change the structure of its release, especially locking beta access behind a preorder paywall.

Re: Dragon's Dogma 2 (PS5) - This Could Be the Apex of RPG Adventuring

DonJorginho

This seems the best wait for a sale game, it simply isn't optimised on any platform and even on a 4090 it drops below the 30s, it wasn't ready for release and shame on Capcom for releasing something so unoptimised, however the game itself seems like a gem, albeit without many main issues of the first game properly addressed/rectified, but I think in a few months once some patches roll out it'll be a great purchase and one of the eventual gems of 2024!

Re: Dragon's Dogma 2 Uncapped Frame Rate Put to the Test on PS5, Preview Build Averages 31fps

DonJorginho

@TrickyDicky99

But this game (in my opinion) isn't pushing the PS5 in any possible way, it looks like a PS4 game and doesn't do anything to innovate open world design or has anything i can immediately think to warrant the tax on hardware. I would've said destruction tech on the CPU but even that doesn't look like anything special.

Hopefully the retail version will have a performance mode with a lower resolution/preset for textures etc.

The PS5 Pro isn't something needed desperately because the hardware hasn't even begun to be pushed by anything.

No game has even came close to peak visuals since Horizon FW and Cyberpunk 2077 apart from maybe FF16.

It's just general knowledge that cross generation development hasn't even begun to test the waters of what this hardware can do and another SKU will only complicate things further.

A pro model isn't something desperately needed, with the last generation it made sense with the jump to 4K displays/HDR but this time I can't see the reasoning beyond "more frames", especially since any game going forward will have to run on the base PS5 anyway so won't push the technology in any meaningful way.

Re: 900 PlayStation Employees Laid Off, London Studio Closed

DonJorginho

something has to give in the industry and fast, we can't continue to allow innocent employees across the board to suffer and pay the price for investors and executives making horrible decisions.

instead of buying a PS5 Pro this winter, how about you put that money into supporting indie titles so the industry can see how sick we all are of these AAA/AAAA mockeries
