Yeah well BF was allways known for rocky releases. BF1 was the only one in my memory that had a decent launch. I dont really understand people buying this on launch day. Or even worse, after launch when they were warned.
@MB81 I played a bit of GT Sport online years ago and had some really good fair races there. But in the end I didnt stick with it for a very long time.
@ApostateMage I don't want to be 'that' guy but despite it being a fun game leaning towards realism, Gran Turismo really isn't a simulator. But please don't let that take away from your enjoyment
Most interested in the performance of the AI and the way the single player campaign is structured. If it's old fashioned 3 lap races starting from the back of the pack with an overpowered car lapping everyone in 2 laps i'm out.
Well okay I'm not out but I wont be getting it at full price.
@MFTWrecks yeah I reluctantly bought it because I was looking for a coop game to play with a mate and there wasnt much choice left. The infinite looting and leveling loop is not my thing but the shooting and cover system works really well. Talking about Div 2 but also played Div 1 a while ago.
@MFTWrecks I agree, whether you like these games or not they were very good at what they set out to do. Shooting in the Division especially is done very well. Wildlands could be better
Well at some point government regulations step in to prevent MS forming a monopoly so hopefully this will end at some point. For now Im not too fussed as I dont play Activision games and I think this might force PS into become more competitive. This will probably mean better value for ps plus for example.
@3MonthBeef spot on about your last part where an NFT will drive up the value of in game item. Thats just the way it works and is exactly the reason videogame companies see an opportunity to cash in on it. 500 virtual credits for the rare item, and 5000 virtual credits for the item and a one off NFT.
Cool. thanks for the headsup. Not sure what the criteria are but I've had this account for at least a decade and also held a plus subscription since the launch of PS4.
Im still not willing to pay 700 euro for a bundle but 500 for a disc version with no nonsens is reasonable.
@themcnoisy Horizon, Gran Turismo and Dying Light all coming to PS4. Nah I'm good
I still haven't seen a system seller that made me want to fork up 700euro for a bundle edition which seems to be the only available version of PS5's nowadays, if you can even get a hold of those.
My brother has been playing the trikogy exclusively for years now. I tried it when it was free with plus but it didnt click. Maybe some time in the future.
@rjejr @Voltan @Olmaz unfortunately it was too difficult for my gf. At the very least your partner should be able to control the camera with one stick and use the other for controls simultaneously (basic 3rd person controls).
Especially the boss fights can get pretty intense, and the platforming was a bit much for her too. So, something to take in consideration. I as a gamer thought the game was really fun however, would definitely recommend.
@themightyant yeah so far I'm good. I would like to have one but 1. I cant be bothered to go through a lot of hassle to buy one and 2. I"m not willing to fork over 700euro for a bundle edition with 2 games I wont play, an extra controller even though local coop doesnt exist anymore and a headset which I allready have. I'll wait..
@Northern_munkey cool. Thanks. I thought it meant more "straightforward", like there is no depth to it. Which is my opinion of many FPS games nowadays. Regenerating health, near infinite ammo, poor enemy AI, narrow maps, very little means of completing it in different ways, all that.
Heck, even the environment is pretty much static besides some scripted demolition. I remember when I played Destiny 1 which was heralded as the second coming of Christ and I would shoot a barrel and it didnt even move.
Halflife 2 back in the days had the gravity gun that you could use to manipulate the environment. I fully expected the gaming industry to build on that. But then Modern Warfare 1 came and every single FPS since was just some static setpiece scripted "ho hum" game.
Some exceptions though. I loved DOOM 2016 for example
Played through 3 and 4 with a buddy in coop. I believe we still have the season pass to go through as well. Pretty fun with a mate if you dont take things too seriously.
These games can usually do with a lot more polish however. The controls are often wonky and enemy AI can be very inconsistent.
It also looks like they're doing nothing new, France instead of Italy..? .
My God, Rainbow Six...how they butchered my boy The first three games are probably my all time favorite games and I've been gaming on various platforms since 1993.
@MFTWrecks good point, unfortunately more recent wars are much more sensitive and political than the obivous good vs evil that the nazi conflict was. But I very much agree with you, would love to see some different conflicts.
But the same goes for the setting for most videogames (and movies by the way), it's allways in the USA. How about a GTA in Bangkok, how awesome would that be. The gaming (and entertainment industry in general) is just creatively bankrupt.
After the amazing map of San Andreas with 3 cities and everything in between Liberty City felt like a massive step down to me. I had a few other things I disliked as well but that was the main factor for me. I did play it a reasonable amount though but mainly because I didnt have much else to play at the time
I'll definitely get this but probably after a price drop and a few patches. Forking out 60 euro seems a bit steep, especially if you need your mates to do the same
I bought it and tried but unfortunately my gf is a bit terrible in video games. Well actually, she's not THAT bad, it's more that she doesnt have the patience for it and she thinks that I think she's terrible... result is she's not having fun.. shame because the game was really cool
After the horrible launch of BF4 they had a few decent launches with BF1 and 5, but 2042 seems to be on course for another disaster. Please don't pre order, everyone. Wait for them to fix it and only then buy it.
@Willbdon45 the wacky guns in this years farcry dont really do it for me.
Im interested in back4blood. Hopefully I can motivate some friends to buy it too. We're going to VR gaming next week to kill some zombies so hopefully that will get them hyped lol
@Ev3X well then the answer is 'No' even more. scummy business practice of selling 'early access'. Basically the same as pre order bonuses cut from launch content. The content is allready there, they're just selling it to you in pieces.
Pre order for access to the beta. Hahahaha ehhhh no. First you release the game. Then we wait for reviews. If reviews are good and the game is stable I might consider a purchase.
It's a pre-order, you hand over money for the promise of some kind of product in some kind of shape (good, decent, or downright terrible) down the line. I don't see how that changes by releasing what is essentially a demo, or perhaps a 'beta', before that product is released.
Skillup reviewed it and came to the conclusion that it's just more of the same. I think it'll be fun to play but only at bargain bin price for me. I did like FC5 especially with a mate, the guerilla theme and wacky weapons of 6 don't appeal to me though.
@Futureshark correct but it would change every few minutes so that got annoying real fast. And so did the constant thunderstorms so that really dragged down the experience for me unfortunately. Such a weird design choice in my opinion

@TheRedComet I dont remember the loading times of the original being a issue for me. And I have a SSD in my Pro so that helps too
Re: Guerrilla Shares PS4 Screenshots of Horizon Forbidden West
One year on and I still don't feel the necessity to own a PS5. Horizon, Gran Turismo, Dying Light 2, all coming to PS4..
I mean, I will probably buy one if it's finally available. But I don't really feel the pressure to go hunting for a PS5.

Maybe the rushed release has got to do with the licenses that they have right now and want to make use of. As that has allways been an issue for PES

That really turned me off from the main game in the 2nd and 3rd act..
