Re: PS Plus Members Received Nearly $900 Worth of Games in 2019

This most likely isn't quite correct. The number is probably based on the usual PS store price but not only do most games on the store stay near to or exactly the same as the price they launched at, but a lot of them spend most of their time popping up in sales at 50%+ off. Titanfall 2 is a great example because it seems to be in most PS store sale at like £5-10 but its usual price is probably 300-500% of that.

Thanks for this. The tutorials, or rather the books, in-game don't touch on many of the controls and what Dan can do so this is helpful.

One thing I'm wondering though: is there any gameplay reason why strafe and block aren't the same button? I can kinda see why being able to block without losing 360° movement is helpful but I wish strafe would also hold up your shield. Its kind of annoying having to hold both R1 and R2 to keep facing an enemy.

@TheBuzz Not a big fan myself but I'll admit that it can be helpful when you're not 100% sold on a title. Watching a streamer/YTer playing can often give you a better sense of what the game plays like than a publisher released video.

EDIT: Just read your new comment and understand better what you mean now. Nevermind

I'm looking forward to it and I really enjoyed Wildlands but it will no doubt be similar to Ubi's other releases, where I can't play it for more than several days before the tedium sets in and I have to turn to another game for a few weeks. I mean Wildlands took me 11 months to complete and even a year after release I'm still slowly working my way through AC Odyssey. It doesn't generally take away from how much I enjoy the games though, it just helps them last longer.

Re: Hands On: How Does Borderlands 3 Run on PS4 Pro?

Gatatog

I'm playing on an original PS4 and I have to admit that there are a fair few instances of textures taking time to load, and the menu can stutter a fair bit as you R1/L1 through the tabs or navigate the inventory. I haven't had any noticeable slowdown in the gameplay and I've started noticing the texture problem less as I've been having so much fun with the game, but I can't deny that the menu stutter alone can get quite annoying. Especially considering how often you go into the menus to check the map, look at loot, spend skill points etc.

I loved the game on PC and was playing it up to a few years ago, however although I've been playing a lot of the port, and generally enjoying it, I'm not 100% sold.

The targeting seems a little wonky, especially when there are a lot of enemies on screen; the input feels a little sluggish (and not just because I'm playing an Engineer wielding 2-handed weapons); and the mysterious removal of the ability to equip 2 weapon sets means that I can't easily switch to a quicker/ranged weapon when I come up against one of the more agile enemies.

The latter point is the one that really bugs me but it all so far stops it from living up to the incredible game I played on PC.
