Re: Ghost of Tsushima Patch 1.07 Boosts Stick Tolerance and Fixes More Bugs

Gatatog

Thank God. I've just had to return a controller for repair/replacement because after just 9 months the drift on the right stick had become almost unplayable in some games. I'm currently using an old controller and it's causing the aptly named Ghost to literally walk on his own. Considering how bad the DS4 is for stick drift, more games should allow you to alter the deadzone.

Re: Hitman 3 Scrapping Ghost Mode, Hitman 2 Servers to Close

Gatatog

Isn't that headline is a little misleading. It makes it sound like all of the Hitman 2 servers are going offline and if that was the case, anyone who has played while connected to the servers would have their save basically made useless. If its just the MP aspect of the game, fine, but saying "Hitman 2 servers to close" gave me a bit of a fright.

Re: Othercide - Gothic Horror Tactical Thrills

Gatatog

Fortunately for this game, XCOM 2 on PS4 is also a bit of a technical mess but I still had an absolute blast with it. Good review though, I'm glad to see the striking visuals aren't the only good thing about it. I'll no doubt take a punt when I'm done with some of the games I've got on the go.

Re: Hands On: Fall Guys Is an Ultimate Knockout on PS4

Gatatog

This sounds like the perfect PS+ title. Like Rocket League before it, it sounds like something that a lot of people would love to try but wouldn't be willing to put down the cash for, especially on release. That and the obvious boost to the player count. This might be a great month for plus.

Re: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Will Probably Come to PS5, Eventually

Gatatog

I say this as a huge fan of the STALKER series but if anyone has played those games surely you'll know that this can be nothing but a blessing in disguise. I mean let's be honest, they weren't the most stable and bug-free games. An eventual PS5 release will probably be the only day one edition that runs well.

Re: Hands On: Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris Is a Technical Mess on PS4

Gatatog

@Aerodynamic41 That's just it though, since the game claims to have an auto-save system and even says in the tutorials that it saves periodically. However, I died once and it set me back almost 2 hours to the last time I manually saved at one of the save points. The auto-save doesn't even work during exploration or side-quests or anything, it's only noticeably saved during major story events.

To be honest, the awful framerate drops and the input lag hasn't killed my enjoyment of the game but the save system, that's the one thing that's really annoying me.

Re: Feature: Best Playstation Music of May 2020

Gatatog

None of the 4 games I played during May were released during the month but all have stellar soundtracks. Please stand up and take a bow Persona 5 Royal and the Trails of Cold Steel series.

In the case of the CS games I've found myself watching the opening movies over and over because the tracks are just incredible... and the games are pretty damn fantastic as well

Re: Feature: The Best Playstation Music of April 2020

Gatatog

I'm really liking the music in Sakura Wars. There seems to be a relatively small selection compared to bigger budget games so there's some repitition, but the tracks themselves are surprisingly enjoyable and memorable.

Besides, apart from Persona 5 Royal, its the only game I've touched since the end of March

Re: Fallout 76 Community Reacts Very Positively to Wastelanders Update

Gatatog

Call me cynical but I can't help thinking that this praise may be from the people who have been playing it all along anyway. I'm trying to be optimistic that it really will improve the game but until I log in myself, I won't get my hopes up.

As it is though, I have too much to be getting on with at the moment. I'll try it when my backlog starts thinning.

Re: Feature: The Best PS4 Music of March 2020

Gatatog

Persona 5's soundtrack is still phenomenal - including the new Royal tracks - and I find myself humming along all the time. I'd personally also give an honourable mention to Nioh 2, as it some great music in that game.

More often than not game soundtracks don't really catch my attention and only serve to enhance the overall experience. When the music stands out to me, it has to be something special.

Re: How Did Dreams on PS4 End Up with an ESRB T Rating?

Gatatog

Isn't this basically the same as any multiplayer game? I mean an online game can be cutesy and colourful and somewhat harmless but there will always be some toxic people playing it. They can't really rate something on the possibility, just the content it includes in the box.

Re: And Just Like That, Dreams Just Got Its First Open World Game

Gatatog

@get2sammyb I remember back when I subbed to PCGamer, every month they'd do a bit near the back of the mag where they'd select a few of the best mods and whatnot they'd come across that month. It's probably easier when you're working with a monthly mag but maybe a simple weekly or monthly article where some of the Push Square gang write a paragraph or so about a Dream they've discovered. Would be awesome to have some regular recommendations from you guys.
