Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 213

Been playing a ton of Far Cry 5 over the past couple of days so it's time to pop Ni no Kuni 2 back in and see how my kingdom is doing.

Between those 2 my time is pretty much accounted for but since I also got early access to Tera (yay for Twitch Prime) I might log on for a bit and continue leveling my character.

Re: April PlayStation Plus Games Announced

Not bad I guess. I'll take Trackmania since I enjoyed the older ones on PC but I expected more of Mad Max. I'm not even sure now why I found it to be quite mediocre but I just remember it being a little tedious. The Arkham style combat was fun though.

I'll be jumping into the Tera beta, seeing how well it translates to console. I'll also be playing the DMC collection on PS4 since my copy just got delivered. Played these games to death on PS2, they're just so good (well, apart from the second, though I do like it more than most other people).

I was planning on playing Kingdom Come but after having a village load everything but actual walls, doors etc, making it incredibly hard to feel my way around, I've decided to wait on a few more patches.

I'll no doubt be playing at least a little MHW and DB FighterZ, but I might also jump back in and try to finish the last few chapters of Yakuza 0. It's been a long time coming.

Finally managed to get my hands on a copy of Nier Automata so after finishing the initial ending I'm now in control of 9S.

I'm also back with Nioh. Farmed some stuff for trophies last night so now it's time to jump into the DLC. Oh and those 2 bosses at the same time missions can sod right off.

Re: Oh FFS, Bungie's Screwed Up with Destiny 2 Yet Again

You know, these kinds of systems aren't inherently bad. I mean what's wrong with a grind heavy game having systems, like the experience point thing you mentioned, that persuade players to take breaks from playing? Back in WoWs heyday, when every player seemed to be addicted to it, people would be all for this kind of thing. However the problem is the fact that Bungie seem to like doing it behind the scenes, without the knowledge of their players. All they need to do is be honest but I guess that's too much to ask.

Spent the past 3 days feeling really ill so I'll be making the most of it and carrying on with Tales of Berseria, one of the most engrossing JRPGs I've played in some time.

I may also jump into Ghost Recon Wildlands. Been putting off finishing that one final province I need to get 100%.

Don't mention Nier Automata. I've been wanting to get a physical copy since everyone raves about how good it is, but it literally seems to be sold out in the UK. The only available copies are ridiculously overpriced ones. Disappointing.

As for my weekend, I'll be playing Tales of Berseria after finally managing to find a decently priced retail copy in a January sale. Really enjoying it so far. Much better than the disappointment that was Zestiria.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This... Christmas? - Issue 6

Gatatog

Having finished and loved the main story of RE7 a couple days ago, I'm now working my way through the DLC. I also started Star Ocean: The Last Hope remaster last night, which I'm really looking forward to getting stuck into some more.

Other than those I'll also be carrying on with my daily bout of the ESO event.

I got Elex on Black Friday and while I won't deny that it's flawed (incredibly so in some respects) I've found myself hooked when it comes to quests and interacting with characters. I've always had a soft spot for flawed gems so I tend to enjoy Piranha Bytes games in general.

I also got The Evil Within 2 in the BF deals so I've decided to replay the first to freshen my memory before jumping into it.

Re: Poll: What Kind of Games Will You Be Cosying Up With This Holiday?

Gatatog

I've built up quite a backlog with all the new releases and sales over the past couple of months, so I'll be spending Xmas working through that.

Like last Xmas I'll probably end up putting a ton of time into ESO as well. My fave game to just relax with and Xmas is a great time to be chilling out with a game I've been loving for the past few years.

I'll mostly be playing Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 with some Sims 4 on the side. I also need to jump into AC Origins at some point in order to get Sobek beaten before the event ends. I've got some other unfinished games but they'll no doubt stay that way until I get Lego Marvel finished at least.

Re: Review: The Sims 4 (PS4)

Gatatog

My sim was getting married; the grim reaper showed up during the reception and killed one of the guests. I pleaded for his life, the grim reaper resurrected him and then me and the reaper proceeded to chat and ended up friends.

I love the weirdness and unpredictability of this series, flaws and all.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 195

Gatatog

I'm really enjoying The Sims 4. It has flaws when compared to the third but it also improves on a bunch of stuff. Plus it seems to have got off lightly compared to the other EA release this week, lol.

Other than that I still have a few areas to work my way through in AC Origins and I couldn't resist ordering Outcast: Second Contact yesterday. I'm really looking forward to Amazon delivering that today because even though I only played the demo of the original release, and at a terrible framerate, I loved what I played and cursed my PC for ages because it couldn't run it properly.
