Hate when great 2d games go full 3d (Pokemon, Darkest dungeon, KOF, etc) but that dog looks cute so they have my interest.

Veteran Japanese devs are always talking about the next generations, they love the industry and they want new blood taking the lead role. I think that is a beautiful mindset.

Meanwhile dev who worked half his life at ND decides to retire saying he doesn't have any problems with Sony and ND is in great hands ... and the doomers: "Oh no Sony what are you doing!" LOL

@TheCollector316 and they are actually. Square Enix, the VR ver. of RE with Capcom, KT, Hoyo, Shift up and the korean mmorp company. Some people think because they aren't focused in japan they don't care about asia but they are putting more money there than ever.

@naruball still better than no profit lol. It's like the psp , a HUGE chunk of people who had one didn't play games, it was one of the best accessible mp3 players of the moment so it is what it is. But you actually see the real money comes from services so that's cool (and that's why they invested in Hoyo before it was cool).

"Hardware strong, software not" let it go man lol. If they want to buy the ps5 and use it to watch vtubers that's great. MS would take that deal any day.

Overall pretty nice stuff but I feel like second party is highly underestimated in general. It's not like Harry Potter is going to carry ps this year. Those games don't "happen to be" on PS, Sony paid those games, in many cases they even put their own devs to help and they are as valuable as first party games. Helldivers at 40 can mean a lot for smaller ps games in the future.

What I think is going to happen:
-PS5Pro is revealed and released this year.
-Stellar Blade is this year November release.
-PS will announce something releasing this year second half, most likely GOW remaster.
-ND or/and Santa Monica will announce their new IPs and at least one will be sifi. Cory made a lot of space related comments after saying he was working in something different than GOW, there were rumors of ND going fantasy (I would love that) but there were more about they also going sifi.

What I want:
-To see the plan for the future of their studios
-More commitment to smaller games

-Sony to acquire something japanese. If it happens it will be something small (no Capcom, Bandai or even SE) but I think there is a chance with KoeiTecmo, it is small compared with other big names and the relationship with Sony is stronger than ever, Sony has for the first time ww publishing rights for one of their games (KT published the Niohs in Japan) and together they bought 1/5 of Akatsuki, looking almost too intentional.

It probably won't happen but I think if Sony makes a push they can get it. Personally Ninja Gaiden was the reason why I got an original xbox when I was a kid, it as a PlayStation ip would be FANTASTIC for me.

@KundaliniRising333 that was because there is friendly fire, so you can mess with your team intentional or unintentionally.

I have to say I'm pleased to see Helldivers in the top 50 of most wishlisted on steam and the $60 ver is more popular than the $40 one. The community really was waiting for this.

@KundaliniRising333 the thing is Helldivers 2 is like Helldiver 1 (a 9 years old game that still has players) but with way more budget.
It's a co-op shooter (I can't call "another" to a game with that kind of history behind but fell free to so), and you battle waves of enemies, there are different kind of missions in different planets with different enemies and difficulties. The maps are indeed procedural. No PVP. If it has story or not is to be seen.
This is the kind of game that plays best with friends but if that doesn't sound "enough" that's the reason why it is $40 in the 70 age lol.

They 100% will do something for FF but i want rise of the ronin and helldivers. If it happens will be a SoP not a Showcase so I hope Sammy doesn't melt after watching it lol.

S2 is set for 2025/26 right? Nothing few cycles can't solve lol.

Not the first time sony "interns" f*ck up trailers. PC players are still waiting for Demon's Souls (that may happen someday tho)

@zhoont don't be concerned, if there is a studio that communicates their focus and confidence that's Arrowhead and they sound really happy with what they have to show.

People actually buying what they ask for would have been very helpful to get the third port ... but never say never, who knows maybe they make Patapon the next Pingu lol

This is one I would LOVE to know % by platform, beyond Sony that should be very pleased getting the marketing rights, knowing how many people got it for ps4, one and Switch would be great.

@Jamesblob I would say that hopefully it is exclusive so the ps site stops talking about ms constantly but Bethesda news are a constant here so it doesn't work LOL

@IOI they already said this project was worked by new employees to get them ready for the big projects so don't worry it wasn't a waste of time and is going to generate money for their financial goals

Surprised Suicide Squad is there, guess talking smack about services is cool but doesn't stop you from wanting them if they have something you like.

They talked ps4pro at ceo so I wouldn't be surprised if they say ps5p is in development. They also talked movies last year, maybe the name of another of the 9 movies left (GoT included).

@GigaGaia actually I wouldn't bet on what you said, Sony making moves around Shift up this year tells a lot about how things are going. And it's true the studio isn't theirs but would be the 3rd year in a row that they enter with a big game with no date that ends up releasing in November (if it happens lol )

They paying to make the stdio an official second party was all i needed to know about the development state.

Baby steps looks like a (ugly) money printer. I don't see any problem with Sony investing in a couple of streamer games.Those things sell a lot and it actually looks fun ... for people who aren't snobs about entertainment lol.

Just a reminder that this year warner erased many cartoons owned by them from HBO MAX and existence, the creators of those shows asked fans to download the piracy they could find. If you want to blame someone blame Warner-Discovery

I just think is funny how much people care about the Soulslike term when the media loves to call everything souls just for attention, 3rd person arpg were a thing before fromsoft.

And even if it's a soulslike, before lies of p the only great ones were Nioh so I don't know why people are so tired unless they actually bought the bad ones for some reason ...

For me it wasn't a game but a detail, Rise of the Ronin looks way more ACTION than expected, big Ninja Gaiden vibes,, I'm really happy ... and Sony is paying for it so even better.
