Two PS5 upgrades - Kakarot and Witcher 3

With Dead Space and some recent PS5 upgrades I have no reason to get this. It also doesn't seem to be very good, politics aside.

@InternetUser Alienware released a 500hz monitor. Where's my 500hz setting?

@theheadofabroom nobody cares about the protagonist's gender. It's her character which is not great. The gameplay doesn't seem to be all that great either.

Too many quality games coming out this year and this one went way down in my estimation since the initial reveal. I won't be taking a chance on it.

I've had mine since launch and had it vertical the entire time and no issues.

On the other hand I've had 3 controllers develop left stick drift, always drifting left. One controller had it out of the box and was returned.

I don't think it's fair to anyone to just republish a review from 2018 for an online game. I'd rather see a new review in its current state before I decide whether to give it a shot.

I hope Stellar Blade is as good as it sounds. Haven't seen any Korean games that aren't mmo

Definitely not biased lol. Elden Ring is the best game.

The guy's gameplay ability wasn't great but his build was really good to do that much damage.

Such a shame they can't display any MGS stuff in there. It's just a Death Stranding museum.

2021 was awful but 2023 is ridiculous. I'm sure there's at least one big release every month.

Playing ME trilogy first. Glad we got that as a monthly game.

I was saying it. Elden Ring should win GOTY but I thought Ragnarok would mainstream its way in. Elden Ring was just so much better as a game. It was the first time in a long time where I thought "this is just a pure game". It also deserves Best Direction. Pushing the Souls style successfully into a massive world and telling a deep story in a subtle way through interactions with NPCs, gear descriptions etc. is so much more organic than the movie style narrative of Ragnarok (which fell short of what 2018 gave us).

Well deserved From and bring on AC 6.

While woke reviewers are prevalent - Kotaku, RPS, PC Gamer, Polygon, IGN for instance - they aren't the reason this game didn't do well. It did deserve to do better though.

It's sad that people think referencing the existence of woke anything and the negative consequences of their actions is somehow a red flag. The culture does exist and it does cause harm.

I am so glad they went back to the OG art and story style. I mean they had to really after the fallout from 3. That Lords of Shadow isometric shot probably still gives the Devs nightmares. I'm definitely buying it.

This is easily better than Forspoken. Also we know a lot more about this game as the Devs gave us plenty to look at and learn months ago. Randomly spawning enemies, zero G in more places like the docking bay, power routing decisions (do you choose lights or atmosphere for example).

Elden Ring needs to win GOTY. Ragnarok will probably win due to it being a more mainstream franchise with bigger marketing.

When you think about it, the combat isn't that different to X-Com. Your available abilities in mission are chosen at random instead. Firaxis does deserve credit for mixing up their games instead of reusing everything.

Pre-ordered it as soon as it was available. Playing it day one. We need more games like this, the genre is under utilised.

I'd like the Netflix content to be optional so I can refuse it. I hope they fixed the movement because it's atrocious. Sometimes when all you want to do is.enter a doorway Geralt will struggle and even do a few die hard rolls instead.

The original is a classic. It's just the hardware having one stick. It still looks great today upscaled on an emulator.

This is silly. Elden Ring is the better game. This game was marketed harder and has recently bias.

Still can't believe people think the season pass is actually going to be just animations and not that they are part of dlc content.

I hope Elden Ring gets GOTY. At this point only The Callisto Protocol has a chance. Ragnarok fell off so only Callisto has a chance of being as good as it.

People acting like animations are whipped up in 5 minutes or that they aren't tied to anything like new enemies or environments.

It's funny reading through the comments and seeing how season pass suddenly turned into battle pass which is something completely different. It just shows how people don't bother to read and jump straight to outrage.

I'm not canceling my pre-order either way. I know what I'm in for and I can't wait.

I have no love for the game awards. They seem to be bloated with ads and freemium/battle royale games, but I like Geoff so it's cool that he gets to make big announcements.

All of my yes. Space horror is a seriously underused genre. Callisto Protocol and Dead Space remake releasing in the next couple of months is like a relative tsunami of content.

I do hope their next mainline game is in space as well.

I liked Man of Medan and thought Little Hope was boring from start to finish.

7 or 8. I'd give the last game a 10 but this has issues with the main story and some battles being too hectic for the camera and the weapon switching mechanics. There is also way too much of the last game mindlessly cloned into this one. The new weapon is great though.

I'm sad there is no Norwegian language for the game. I can get past the accents and the fact everyone talks English, but the very prominent use of modern American slang words were breaking immersion. I would not have been surprised if Atreus called Kratos "my old man".

Aside from switching to Netflix once, I've never actually moved from the game since release. So I've never had this risk.

My experience at launch was so bad that I will never want to play this again. I'm glad I got a refund. I'll never lose the bad memories capped off by the 20+ crashes I experienced.

You don't really want to play games like this in 30fps. When you need to perfectly time your dodges for instance the difference between 30 and 60 is being hit or not.

Concerned the multiplayer won't work properly as it hasn't in the other games. They never fixed the issues.

Also Until Dawn has a scene inspired by Saw as well. It even involves a saw.

Frontier usually support their games for years

I've had this pre-ordered for months. I can't wait.

A plague tale needs the newest graphics cards like the 4070 to hit 60fps on 4k so it's not surprising it is 30fps on PS5. This game on the other hand, I don't get.

This looks positively ridiculous. Feels like RE's version of Metal Gear Online.

Zero G was always going to get a change considering how much it improves across the three games. I would have preferred if Isaac didn't talk. The original was so ahead of its time that I never felt it needed a remake or remastert. This is more like a final cut type of redo so I'm happy with it.

Cheeky headline. The Stadia idea was good but before its time. I think cloud gaming is the future but the industry just lacks the infrastructure to support it for now.
