Re: PS4 Version of Snarky Xbox Shooter High on Life Found Loitering in PlayStation Backend

K1LLEGAL

@Sekijo I definitely misworded that comment with “especially” their timed deals when really I was thinking of the one; but I brought it up to emphasise my point about Sony not being any more transparent than Xbox (but they weren’t transparent about it and then it became permanent and they didn’t say a word about it). And in that sense… i have no examples because i’m referring to something that isn’t there… (the transparency). I feel like we only knew Deathloop & Ghostwire were specifically 1 year because Xbox literally bought Zenimax. Just like we only know about Stalker 2 being a 3 month timed because of an internal Microsoft document. I don’t think either are transparent about it.

Re: PS4 Version of Snarky Xbox Shooter High on Life Found Loitering in PlayStation Backend

@Rafie I don’t get it… you’re saying go to Square because what? It’s third party? Literally all of what we are talking about are third party deals, but you are saying Sony is transparent and Xbox is not. So then surely in all these cases we should go to the third party; which means it’s not up to Xbox at all then is it? Why should folks go to Square (not Sony) in that case, but with Xbox timed exclusives only ask Xbox?

Re: Rumour: PS5 Pro Release Date Reportedly Slated for November 2024

K1LLEGAL

@Member_the_game Yea i mean I got an Xbox One X and whilst it was nice to have a boost in resolution; a couple of years later the Series X was out and so all in all I don’t feel it was worth it. Not going for any mid-gen consoles this time no matter which side it’s on.

Plus it will make the eventual jump to next-gen even better.

Re: The FTC Officially Files an Appeal Against Microsoft-Activision Court Victory

@StrawberryTurtle what is wrong with Gamepass? It can be a pretty huge money-saver. You sound extremely bitter. I’m not saying this is beneficial to Playstation players but what I am saying is it’s stupid to play dumb and pretend there are no benefits to Xbox players (besides… bragging rights apparently?).

And you’re saying it’s not pro-consumer since the games were already on Xbox but if they start hitting Switch surely that is a benefit. Maybe not to you but that’s not the point.

There are so many different angles to argue regarding the whole acquisition (either in favour or against) but blind fanboyism is just a waste of everyones time.

Re: Total Final Fantasy Franchise Sales at 180 Million

K1LLEGAL

I’m really enjoying XVI as a story (just over 60% through apparently); it has me hooked. But the game itself is lacking something that made previous mainline games special to me. It might be the lack of RPG systems and it might be the lack of exploration. But yea I am left wanting more from the gameplay. Story though, as I said, is good stuff so far.

Got Pixel Remasters digital on PS5(PS4) and physical on Switch so i’ve done my bit. If they hit Xbox I will probably get them again ahem .

Re: Over 56% of Final Fantasy 16 UK Launch Sales Were Digital, But the Charts Only Count Physical

K1LLEGAL

@Ralizah yea well it’s frustrating after we get article after article touting 70% of a game’s sales being on Playstation when they know that is only half the picture. It’s always incomplete. And now it’s to do with an exclusive being on the wrong end of that it’s become an “issue”.

I actually think FFXVI has done well for being a single console (no PC, Xbox, Switch or last gen) release. It’s up against the zeitgeist that is Tears of the Kingdom. The damage control is unnecessary.

@Kevw2006 I have heard multiple times on this site that Xbox players don’t buy Final Fantasy games unfortunately (though somehow my day one FFXV copy was an Xbox copy 🤷‍♂️ as was my Royal Edition).

Anyway I wonder how Alan Wake 2 will chart…

Re: The Last of Us 2 Cost $220 Million to Make, Horizon Forbidden West Cost $212 Million

K1LLEGAL

@Scottyy I apologise I think I misunderstood your initial comment. I read it as like “10 of” meaning they keep pumping out the same game.

Everyone likes what they like; but for me I look at a studio like Obsidian where they have Grounded as an ongoing game; they release a passion project in Pentiment; and then have the bigger budget Avowed on the go at the same time. That is a good mix to me and means you get more regular releases. Of course only a studio of a certain size can keep that going.

All of these articles about games taking 5-6 years to make but that is only because of the sort of games they are making.

Re: The Last of Us 2 Cost $220 Million to Make, Horizon Forbidden West Cost $212 Million

K1LLEGAL

@Scottyy that’s a really weird comment especially when there are like 6 Uncharteds, a million Ratchet and Clanks. What has Grounded got to do with it? Have you played it? I’ve had so much fun with that game. Just feels like a random attack on Xbox even though their games have way more variety. And Halo isn’t exactly spammed out; it started in 2001.

In my opinion these big budget games are great but you also need smaller budget games to go alongside them. As these all end up feeling quite similar (have you ever climbed a rockface/mountainside by any chance?). Despite being highly polished.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Final Fantasy 16?

K1LLEGAL

I am playing it - but my PS5 seems to think i have only played 52 minutes. How can it be that broken? Like how hard can it be to fix that? The game doesn’t seem to have an in-game gameplay timer either does it… does anyone know if there is one?

Re: Sony Eager to Ensure PS Plus Remains Relevant and Offers More Value

K1LLEGAL

I think the issue for a lot of people, including myself, is that I have Gamepass and PS Plus Extra… and whilst Playstation seems to be adding more games each month; most of them have been on Gamepass already. If you never had Gamepass then you will be getting more for your money with PS Plus.

Also with Gamepass there is the guarantee that if the game is a day 1 addition then most people haven’t played it and can be excited about it. With PS Plus the older games get added and you may have already bought them. Still can (and does) happen with Gamepass too of course; with those that aren’t day 1 additions.

But the lack of day 1 additions is still going to affect Sony’s sales I assume… for instance I never bought Rift Apart as I knew it would eventually hit PS Plus. And it did.

Re: Don't Panic if Third-Party Games Aren't Immediately Announced for PS5, PS4 in the Aftermath of Xbox Showcase

K1LLEGAL

Gotta keep all the immature fanboys in check. PushSquare knows its audience.

Also remember the FFXVI PC version getting deleted off the trailer? As if Playstation doesn’t have its own embargoes…

Edit: at least with what you are referring to with Xbox you only wait 24 hours or whatever. Playstation’s deals are a lot longer so that you buy the game there first. The impatience is unreal. Imagine a game getting announced for the original Xbox and everyone had to wait 24 hours for it to get announced for PS2. Im sure they were fine.

Re: Reaction: Sony's PS5, PC Live Service Strategy Won't Work If It's All Samey Shooters

K1LLEGAL

@Kevw2006 I know this doesn’t mean the games are the same (and I am sort of saying this in jest but also… sort of not) but whenever I play a Playstation Studios game and you have to climb up some sort of mountain side with little hand holders and the slightly different coloured blocks/rocks/beams that show where you go next… I roll my eyes. Not sure why anyone thinks that is fun, especially not copy pasted in every PS game. Sure this is reductive but literally put “(insert Playstation game name) climbing” into google…

… it’s the same picture.

Re: PS5 Exclusivity Over Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake Appears Uncertain

K1LLEGAL

Sony may have made a deal with Konami… for marketing of these games, as opposed to exclusivity. But anyway the more platforms the better!

Recently tried Metal Gear Solid for the first time (PS1 port on Vita)… was still blown away by the production values attached to that intro; but struggled to get into it. Happy to start from a remake of the prequel and go from there.

Re: Resident Evil 4's PS5, PS4 Sales in the UK Leave Xbox to the Los Ganados

K1LLEGAL

@UltimateOtaku91 For Resident Evil 4 or a completely different unrelated game?

Also i’ve seen some of those comments and i’ve myself asked for digital to be included. I don’t think anyone expects Xbox to outsell or match PlayStation when there are more PS5s sold and 100million PS4s. The point is the gap is lower than reported, which can be true and is in this case. If they just reported digital sales and not physical; that would be an incomplete picture too.

Re: Indie Not on PlayStation Beats PS5, PS4's Biggest Hits to BAFTA's Game of the Year

K1LLEGAL

@UltimateOtaku91 check it out on Gamepass. It’s the sort of game thats so addictive you can play it on Xbox for the achievements, and would want to go back and get all the trophies when it finally comes to Playstation and play it through again.

Actually loved this game; and the DLC.

And anyone dismissing it because of the graphics? Thick and I guarantee if it was on Playstation you wouldn’t be so quick to overlook it.
