I'm really curious to see how this fits in FFVII rebirth. It's a odd choice to start viewing a movie filled with major spoilers about the events of the original. Even though older fans already know the events there will be alot of newer players going to this movie not knowing what they are walking into.

2024 is going to be great gaming year.

Does it cost the developers money on a monthly basis to have the games on the online servers like PSN, Xbox and Nintendo. Because then I can understand that they might remove their titles, if not then it's just a way to boost the prices of the physical copies.

I bought Asterigos: Curse Of The Stars for PS5, so will be playing that and some Disney speedstorm.

@LifeGirl depends if it's a easy trophy to get. I still have nightmares of the gym trophy in remake.

@JeongersGaming that's exactly what I was going to say. All the big moments need to happen or else it won't fit.

It will probably end up as a multiplayer mode in the Last of Us 3. I don't believe they will throw years of development away just like that.

Didn't hear his works myself yet, but if it's that bad then it's more the fault of the director of the project. The director approved of the work and claimed as good for the project. Same with movies, if the acting is bad there's one person that said it was great.

That said I believe studios should really invest in great voice talent and don't underestimate it's effect. The quality is fantastic on the big titles these days.

Well that's the digital only effect. Alot will not pay full price and wait for a sale.

I think i'm going to wait for the full expansion and startva new playthrough.

At the playstation direct store NL the price for the Standard Edition is 50€

Looks very good, kinda wish they would do a 80's vice city again. The atmosphere in the PS2 vice city was amazing and still my favourite. This looks like a bad MTV music video.

Going to play Sonic Superstars and Bluey with my kids and some Rocket League.

This doesn't affect me personally, however I did get screwed in the past with my PS3 digital library. My HDD crashed on the PS3 and I had to redownload al my digital games only to find out that I can't download/access half of my purchased content anymore.

They should make Bungie develop a new FPS to rival call of duty. The have the potential to do that, and Sony will have a new FPS multiplayer franchise.

They should have used the money to buy a better studio that added great games,genres, and IP's to Playstation studios. Or used the money to expand the studios they already have.

Both are fun games, I did enjoy sonic more to be honest. I felt the Mario levels were really short and the wonder flowers were to much, would have been better if they weren't mandatory in each level, in my opinion.

@Shepherd_Tallon @Quintumply I actually found my second playthrough to be less heavy and to that more enjoyable. The big shock effect is gone and you get to enjoy other parts of the story more and smaller details of the world that really build up the overal setting.

Looking forward to this mode, the gameplay in part 2 is fantastic. Hope this is a mode you can also play together.

The race for the best bad game award is going to be exciting this year.

@LifeGirl this is a major spoiler for those newer fans that won't care, especially since it's confirmed by the devs that the trilogy well tie in on advent children. So please be aware of spoilers for the newbies that experience this story for the first time.

@DennisReynolds @OrtadragoonX I agree completely. It would have been much better to start with Abby. Now she was the big bad straight from the start. It would have made the point where they were aiming for much better, that both are good and bad. I do recommend a second playthrough for everyone, I for one enjoyed the story the second time I played through it a lot more.

I can't wait for this version, I am most interested in the new survival mode. It looks like a mercaneries type of mode, maybe it's a test to see if it would work for a multiplayer mode.

I can't wait, the recent interviews show they are really going to stay true to certain events in the game and add to it. This could be my GOTY for 2024.

@GamingFan4Lyf I don't think anyone defends Sony on this, but it does seem that only Sony is being bashed on it. This is the first gen that upgrade prices were being done. There were alot of remasters of old PS2 games on PS3, nobody complained. There were alot of PS3/360 remasters on the PS4, nobody complained. I know the prices were cheaper, but so was everything unfortunately. In other words if Sony didn't do backwards compatibility and cross gen, this would not be a issue.

Other developers do the same with older games and most of the time put less effort in it. Switch first party lineup excists for the biggest part of Wii u ports. Xbox gives free upgrades but most likely to promote game pass. I do agree this should not be full price, I think 40 is a great price, if there is no extra content.

@Faruko I agree with this. This makes leveling up pointless. When I'm close to the end I want destroy the weaker enemies with one hit.

So much negativity over a remaster release that no-one forces you to buy, and it's not even known if it will have extra content or not. It just gets a release because a PC port is coming and to fill a gap in between newer games that will be released in 2024. It's time Sony just announced all the games they are working on so some can start complaining the games are announced to soon, because they don't release within a month.

Bring it on. Hopefully with some extra content like left behind or the original factions, but I doubt that will happen though.

Well deserved. The Uncharted and last of us series had a big impact in many ways for games. Hopefully he's next game lives up to this title.

Why not a season pass to. So you can release it now and finish it later. Live service shouldn't be in singleplayer games. They are singleplayer for a reason and shouldn't have to go online.

Baby Microsoft, buy everything with the money you have to get big fast. Sounds like they didn't had a vision at all. I feel sorry for the people that are affected as this was something they had no control over and were forced into.

I don't see any updates on the PS5 version on that list, does that mean that's the best version to get.

When I play against the computer and my friends I feel like a God of Tekken smashing those buttons. When I play online, I'm the guy that gets launched in the air and comes down when the fight is over.

Call of duty has become the same as the yearly sport games. If you skip a couple of years you won't miss a thing

Looking forward to this game, never played Persona 3 so it will be all new to me. February going to be crazy month for jrpg fans. So many great titles coming, don't know where i get the time to play them all.

Hasn't Call of Duty also become pay to win. Sometimes you get shot with God-like weapons in ways that shouldn't instant kill you.

Hmmm, I had this game on my radar. But now it seems like cut content on purpose to create a season pass. I'll wait for the reviews and reactions on the main game.

@gymratAmarillo it's because people think companies are only run by these people. Imagine if Miyamoto retires at Nintendo. They might as well stop making games then.

This is why Sony and Nintendo don't announce game a long time before they are ready to release. Don't set a fixed date until you're sure it's going to be ready. This should release pressure of the devs also.

Well if they keep buying every publisher/developer Switch and PS owners won't have a choice.

@AhmadSumadi yes they could have put the money in their playstation division or in the film studios they own instead in a video streaming service expansion. Video streaming is a already to crowded space. And it's not like it's that much of a great business improvement that brings alot of money. Disney, hbo and Netflix are more losing money with it then earning.

What a waste of money. The could have bought a studio and have great exclusives, or put that money in the studios they own and expand those.

That's insane. And even more will be added with the battle passes. Maybe they should go in learning at Nintendo on how to compress games.

I love this franchise. But wow... It's really difficult to keep track on the story and make sense of it all. Especially with all these side games.

Congratulations on the 500th anniversary! Going to try to finish up Spider-man 2 so I can start super Mario bros wonder. Looks like that game can take me back to the Mario bros 3 days.
