So both Persona 3 and FFVII rebirth are releasing early 2024. Busy months.

If this was exclusive Xbox would scream it at people's faces like a little toddler.

@Sil_Am i see you're point, and it will have some impact for sure. But in this day and age where most games are announced through leaks it will have less impact then last generations. The PS5 and switch versions were leaked days before the official announcement. Those views also represent gamers that are already Xbox owners, and people who view the content more then once. I work alot with social media on my work lately, likes and views don't add much these days anymore, mainly because of the amount of content people view on a daily basis. For example, The next post someone views might be a leak or news post that the game is coming to other platforms, impacting the Xbox announcement.

Honestly, what's the point of a 48h embargo. It's not like people will run to the store to buy a console in those couple of days, for a game that's not even close to release...

@awaltzforvenus yeah this is one of those games my kids can't watch either, at least not all of them. Playing the demo really shows why it got a adult rating. My oldest daughter is allowed to see movies and play some games that are not for her age, but that's mainly because she really understand that it's fake and just a game or movie. At least you and your kid have FFVII rebirth to look forward to. That game has some dark moments but not like ff16.

@RoomWithaMoose the same could be said the other way around, just because Sony doesn't make Mario/Zelda like games doesn't mean the console doesn't offer diverse games. This is coming from a Nintendo and playstation fan. And to be honest if you look at the generations after the N64, then PlayStation consoles have a more diverse selection of games. Nintendo is really build around Mario/Pokemon and Zelda, and now and then a game like Pikmin. If i look at my games collection then with every Nintendo console i own most 80% of the games is of those series. There is nothing wrong with that because they are good games. But you can't call out another console being less diverse then Nintendo when every gen Nintendo basically releases pretty much the same games. Zelda ,Pokemon, mario, Kirby, Mario kart, smash bros, Mario sport series

It's a great year for fighting games. First Street Fighter 6, then MK1 and Tekken 8 on the horizon. I'm looking forward to Tekken 8 the most, but I'm curious to see gameplay of MK1.

Are they even ever satisfied at square-enix about anything.

Incredible! unbelievable! It really seems that square-enix finally have their act together in terms of development time and releases. I'm looking more forward to this game then FFXVI. But that's because i love the FFVII characters and world.

The underappreciated Code Veronica. A remake of Haunting Ground remake will be dream come true as well, that was also a great survival game.

In other words. We promise something now that you want, that we probably are not going to do, so that you by our game at launch.

I'm going this Saturday with my oldest daughter. She's a big Spider-Gwen fan. So I'm hoping she's in Spider-man 2 for her, although I doubt it.

I had to sit down to read this news and take a moment for myself... Still can't believe this is true.

The fact that they will at least release one or two more complete versions of this game is holding me back from buying it now.

They should have announced a Pepsiman remake, that would have been the gamechanger.

Considering the amount of games and the variation that were announced it was a great showcase. But expectations of this showcase was completely different. The hype the internet created and Sony themselves (this time) is at fault here. Can't wait to see the next showcase as that should focus on the other first party games most likely.

Their reasoning for keeping the price at 60 is ridiculous, it's a 10 difference. If that's your main reason for doing it you're price should be at 30 like most digital only games. And why is the PC version cheaper, it's both digital.

Once FFXVI is released they will start promoting FFVII again. This is basically common sense. It would have blown all the attention away from XVI. As much as I would have loved to see a new trailer, i didn't expect it at all

@Perryg92 looking at the # that tweet uses it's definitely a troll just stirring things up. I'm sure the graphics will improve as the game is still months away from release. Just shows how the internet has become one giant floodgate of negativity.

Bold statement. Who knows what other games will be announced for 2023 in the coming months. Besides that you can't compare big open world games with a linear experience. If i were a developer i would aim for the best game of the Year award instead the best graphics award.

They should have just made a new PSVITA. Combine it with PS+ and you will have something that might appeal to alot of people.

I think that trademark eye for detail is holding it back. Naughty dog knows they set a high standard for themselves, and when they show something it needs to be great right away or the complete internet will be all over them.

Oh Jim.... Just stay quiet for once. The showcase wasn't bad and yes it was varied. But the lack of first party was frustrating, especially since they were building that hype themselves the last weeks. I'm sure more news will come soon, but I can understand there was disappointment.

Sounds like they were aiming for a retro movie license game and excelled at it.

Maybe he shouldn't have released such a broken game to start. It would have sold way better, everyone was waiting for the patches to be released.

I'm interested in this game, could be fun. I remember gamers making fun of Splatoon when it was announced for the wiiu, look how that turned out. I love Splatoon but I barely played S3 because of the network issues the game has, it's really annoying everyone gets kicked out of a game when it just started. This game has the potential to be really fun.

Insomniac really is what Rare was for the N64. They really are amazing there and keep on delivering on the PS5.

It was a good showcase. I spoiled myself getting in to hyped. Seems like they're still holding back for some reason. I expected to see more from the first party studios to be honest, they've been building up the last weeks with social media posts and didn't show that much. They should have called it just a state of play. Maybe we will get something this summer.

I'm not into mobile games, but from a business point of view I can understand the appeal of it, and it could be great for all. Mobile games are cheaper and faster to make and can bring a lot of money in the pocket, Wich could mean the studios could get bigger budgets and Sony PlayStation make more investments.

Definitely going to get this game. Hopefully the localisation will be fast.

I'm more hyped then normally. It's been such a long time so this should be filled with big games, also can't wait to see Spider-man 2 in action.

It seems they learned from the development of past FF's and really took the feedback to heart and tried to not make past mistakes. I know a lot loved FFXV but to me as a die-hard FF fan, XV was the rock bottom of the franchise, and maybe one they needed. i first needed to really adjust to the setting XVI is in. But the more I see and read of it the more I'm looking forward to be playing it.

Too bad they didn't use the ff7 remake gameplay and improved on that. Still feel that game nailed the best of two worlds.

You can almost have the real cabinet for that money. Looks cool though.

Gotta love DLC before the game releases. Can't wait to see the Jean Claude van Damme skin. Makes me want a street fighter movie game again, that game should be rebooted.
