I'm waiting for pre-order to open where I live to get a PS5 (still haven't decided if digital or classic) , but I'm thinking on getting maybe a Series S down the road... I have a games PC also but there's certain charm in having a dedicated box for game pass and fast storage (PC with ssd is not fast, is just good specs).

Horrible. It's impossible to "build from the ground up" and still support PS4. I'm a developer and this is BS. You can dial back some things to support PS4… but many many features can't be just dialed back.

My 6 year old girl has a Vader t-shirt, so I guess this game si made for me.

1440 / 60FPS , upscaled, should be very very good. It's nice to have the option to choose 30 or 60FPS. While I do play 30FPS with no problem ( horizon, uncharted 4, god of war, TLOU2, etc), when I first played TLOU Remastered 60FPS, then I tried to go 4K / 30FPS but... was too "slow".

It's really not a matter of 30FPS or 60FPS, but if we really need "true 4K"... I'm ok with any upscaling/reconstruction technique or whatever fits to produce a good image using the least procesing power... then we can see benefits either with increased FPS or increased fidelity (RT, whatever). True 4K is a waste, I think that is more or less an universal true right now, isn't?

@koaeinferno Yes, but here you had like 70% of something gameplay, not 2%. But yes, things like this one and some other trailer should be avoided.

Overall it was OK. Ratchet & Clank showed what the PS5s custom I/O brings to gaming, and that's all we needed to see really.

@Grindagger 🤣 I know, I'm sort of musician also, but I wanted to keep it simple. You can do covers in many ways, take for instance the abominations of "Bossa n [add artist name]".

Vocal line is almost the same note by note. At least the few seconds I've heard until I said "ok, enough" 🤣

Never played a silent hill. Tried with silent hill2 on PC but the music and sound were so scary I had to put it down.

@Royalblues good words. I hope you didn't get the wrong impression from my comment. I'm fully against all kind of violence, discrimination, humiliation, and whatever attitude that points that someone is superior to another. Sadly is something present in all orders of human society, even within families. It's like we (as humans) cannot exist without a piramid of power and privileges.

While it's understandable, aren't the deaths caused by covid-19 something that makes "a celebration" a little odd? And then every day there are people dying because they have no food, no water, no basic medical attention, and in some countries people are slaughtered with no reason, but yes, those are times to celebrate? It's OK to be respectful now, but... What's the threshold for that?

I've never played Demon Souls or any Dark Souls game. Just a bit of Bloodborne but it still in my backlog. Last days I've been playing Jedi Fallen Order and only by the end of the game I've started to understand how to combat properly ( difficulty Jedi Master)... so now I'm interested in these kind of games, BUT... Being demon souls so "old"… how it can a remake harness the all the PS5 has to offer? For sure it will have almost no load times and nicer visuals, but level design and enemies and stuff must be the same as they were, otherwise it will be a different game, isn't? I'm asking those whom love the game so I can understand better.

I assume -for the wording on the announcement- games should be something not possible on current get, not talking about graphics.

Really hyped for the games... HZD2 and I'll stop asking for more.

@MarcG420 Argentina... anyway I've my PS4 Pro ready for be converted into cash as soon as I finish TLOU2. That will cover at around 50% of PS5 price I guess. I'm also willing to sell the PSVR (v2, two move controllers)... so more or less I think it will come down to whether or not it will be available here at launch.

@MarcG420 lucky you 😂, here PS5 will be like 100% more expensive than in US. So I'm ready for handing out 1000 USD 🙈

Who cares about price?? If games are awesome, we will pay 700 USD if they ask 😅... And if games are just PS4 games with "better resolution" then 🤷‍♂️ (anyway that's not happening).

I've tried Gears on the 360 and for me was a generic game, awful character style (may I say art direction?) and so on. Never ever felt sorry for not being able to play Gears.

@Nich0 maybe my memory is playing tricks on me, but the only painful section on Mafia was the one you have to **** that silver car. Otherwise the game was an absolute joy to play.

@BigP Mafia is the best err... mafia game out there. The Godfather is OK but for me Mafia is the real godfather. And looking at this remake... Oh boy yes, it's an offer I can't refuse. Of course I hope they haven't removed the ability to flat the tires of the cars with gunshots.

The demo was epic (🙄) but I would love to see real-time destruction of objects and environments caused by player actions. Anyway it was a masterpiece to remember.

@PCPS4XB yes, I know. It runs on mobile devices also. What I would like to see is how much scaling (say cut back visuals/features) you have for every existing platform, be it PC, XBox Series X, PS4 etc. Of course I doubt they show that someday.

The character models are incredible. I've started playing fighting games with Street Fighter II and then MK I came around...

@Cutmastavictory Yes, I know, I mean this is all planned by Sony, not just a random event. So why not advertise this on their own communications channels? like "Hey, look, Epic will be showing some nice stuff running on PS5... take a look in a couple of days".

Really impressive, didn't think this kind of detail were possible in realtime (even at 30fps). But I wonder why Sony didn't made it's own presentation of "PS5 power" yet... Anyway there's something happening from Sony's side because I bet MS is crying out loud for not being able to put their name on this demo, which of course runs "the same" on Series X.

@ApostateMage I had it day one and played it non stop to the end of the main story, but left a lot of the map unexplored. I thought it was great but not up to New Vegas level.

@interista87 I would love a remake of the first one... Still remember the opening scene with the cigarette hitting the street, you knew right there it was something special. If I'm not wrong the game was made by Illusion Softworks, that previously made Hidden&Dangerous, that despite serious flaws was an incredible game and even better to play coop over lan.

Mafia I was the best for me. Instant classic. I remember you could shoot the tires of the cars... All the game was like playing Goodfellas. Pure love.

Contract phones are usually "sold" at a laughable price point because you're tied with a company for the service... Here we are locked to a vendor and yet we must pay some cash and then buy games that aren't cheap either... games over Steam are way cheaper, even at launch, isn't? I think consoles should be almost given away 🤣
I would like to own both and then play games (pay for) on whatever platform is better suited for it.

While I expect hzd2 to blown us away (I was thinking about it while playing day one hzd), let's not forget that this is a launch title or early title on the console cycle. If a HDZ3 ever exists on PS5, that will more surely set the "limit" of PS5 hardware.

If there's a game that can be a showcase of next gen graphics is Gran Turismo. Specially for ray tracing since it's creator it's a madman of photo realism and currently has one of the best HDR in gaming. I really see GT as the ray tracing showcase early on.

@BearsEatBeets it's funny, or kind of, because TLOU2 or Ghost of Tsushima can look more next gen than any game shown today. I'm really expecting Sony to take the upper hand with PS5 games reveal.

Really underwhelming. Medium was the only one that catched my attention, and Scorn, but zero gameplay from that one. All other games, meh. I like MS being more communicative than Sony but showing these games as "Series X" showcase, man... better not.

@Spoonman-2 lucky you 😂... I think I'm over with some kind of games. I've played and loved Witcher 1 & 2 but haven't played more than 2 hours of W3. Now I'm back to adventure+ puzzle solving games. Old man 🤣

I just can't get past the first minutes of any AC... The gameplay seems so boring to me. I would love to enjoy playing locations like Egypt and Greece etc, but the combat and stuff seems so boring... I don't know. Maybe I'm just old for these kind of games.
