The poor visuals statements are hitting my faith in humanity hard. Those are some of the best character models I have ever seen in any videogame.

@ShogunRok I wasn’t objecting to your review at all, just pointing out that many posters here are overly dramatic: I can think of many, many RPGs that did side quest worse than recent FF. SMT and Persona, for instance, have absolutely dire ones, yet that aren’t scrutinized for not being on the level of the Witcher 3 or BG3, a completely other vibe and form of game.

And while we’re at it: maybe we should start comparing FF16 or FF7R combat and boss fights with The Witcher 3’s (again, one of my faves) since it seems so natural to compare the side quest, let’s do the same with the combat …it is just my opinion but these comparisons are one sided, unfair and serve a ready-made narrative that it’s getting more and more tiresome.

All the people complaining dramatically about ff16 and Remake quests have been playing P3 Reload? Because bring me Pine Resin and Muscle drink were really compelling and moving side quests that redefined the genre 🙄

It sounds more up my alley than 16 (which I liked!) was. Love mini-games and explorations and non-linear plots.

It has a striking 93 on MC for what it’s worth…I see the dry PS5 2024 continues after TLOU2, GBfabtasy Relink and Hell Divers 2: such a bleak, bleak year for PS.

I will surely get Hi-fi Rush and maybe put Pentiment on a wishlist.

That said, to have the podcast and not reveal the titles “to leve it to the developers” and then announce them all unceremoniously 1 week later …why?
It really looks bad for them, don’t they realize it?

This game has plenty of room to become a better version of himself and was actually really suffering from severe hardware restrictions.
I still enjoyed it but would welcome an expanded PS5 port

It helps the dev to optimize the game and ship it sooner. It’s one less platform to worry about…

Err…people seriously had no idea of how this looked after roughly 200 hours of trailers? The characters models are incredible, the art direction is solid and it runs at a very stable frame rate in performance!
The demo convinced me 100% and to think this kind of graphic impact will be applied to huge open worldish areas is just …wow!

@lacerz I mean, this is on their own proprietary hardware alone, it’s actually pretty shocking how high this is. Xbox would sure love to pull similar numbers on their consoles but they have changed their strategy and will change it again because it couldn’t pull this (among other things) off

SEGA is one of my favourite developers alongside Capcom but they were approaching Square Enix level of self inflicted damage with their nonsensical release schedule last Fall/Winter.
