Re: Poll: Can a Game's Brutal Difficultly Put You Off Playing It?

QiaraIris

Absolutely. Good for those people that have the time, tenacity, and patience to enjoy souls-game or any other brutal difficulty games but they are just not for me. I knew that and I'm not going to pretend that I'd enjoy it. Hell, I tend to even set my games to Very Easy or Story if there are difficulty options available.

I wish I do have those qualities I mentioned above though, as it seems that I really missed on a great game in Elden Ring. Oh well, it is what it is.

Re: Poll: One Year Later, What Are Your Thoughts on Final Fantasy 16?

QiaraIris

It was a fantastic game, especially coming from FFXV disaster and compared to the the garbage that was FF7-Rebirth.

Great characters, great boss fights (Titan desert boss fights that was designed by three Square Enix legendary encounter designers were definitely my favourite), awesome cinematics, excellent darker mature storyline, and actually fun combat for an RPG.

CBUIII really did a great job on this game and if there's one thing their experience kinda goes against them, is the sheer amount of irrelevant bloated side quests that plagued the game especially closer to the end. That definitely came from their MMO experience.

Re: Series Stalwart Mark Darrah Says Veilguard Is the 'Best Dragon Age Game' He's Ever Played

"Are you looking forward to returning to the world of Thedas?"

Nothing they've shown so far actually made me "look forward" to play it. Especially after Nintendo direct showcased a bunch of other RPGs and JRPGs crowding autumn/winter release that actually interest me.

They really need to stop telling about the game and start showing more. After CDPR and Cyberpunk, they can tell whatever they want but till I see it in action before launch, I won't believe them.

Re: Fed Up with Square Enix, Final Fantasy 14's Healers Are Going on Strike

QiaraIris

Oh tell these minority healers to ***** off. I main AST and I'm not striking with these snowflakes and their temper tantrum. I bet these are ex-WoW players too as we never had this issue before as FFXIV community has no time for this bs.

I also play every jobs in FFXIV with all max gears, I'm sure there are a lot of us that can and will switch jobs to fill in the gap while they throw a temper tantrum.

I'll gladly do so.

Re: Poll: So, What Are Your Thoughts on Dragon Age: The Veilguard?

QiaraIris

I'm not sold at all, but I'm open to seeing more.

I'll wait till they show more of the RPG system that made the franchise an RPG. So far the gameplay reveal has displayed none of: Skill trees, character progressions, and gears/loot system.

Till then, in the same universe where we have a game like Baldur's Gate 3 as an RPG, in what way is Veilguard an acceptable showing?

Re: Forget About the Cheesy Reveal Trailer with 20 Mins of Dragon Age: The Veilguard Gameplay

QiaraIris

Better than the trailer but I'm still not blown away by it. Gotta have to wait and see if they brought back all the RPG features that made Dragon Age an RPG game because I just saw the team had a boss battle after waves of enemies and absolutely 0 loot. So no loot system? crafting? etc?

Honestly, I have the same uneasy feeling I had when they showcased ME: Andromeda and we know how that ended up.

Re: Video: Is Concord Destined to Fail?

QiaraIris

@AdamNovice It doesn't affect me as I have a PlayStation.

but I'm also a PC Gamer where we'd rather not play the game when it's exclusive to Epic Game Store than actually made an Epic Game Store account.

Re: Open World Martial Arts RPG Where Winds Meet Announced for PS5

QiaraIris

@bindiana yeah I'm not sure why they're approaching the trailer as a Souls game when the actual game was really far from it.

It's really more Ghost of Tsushima with character creation. The boss fights can be similar to Sekiro due to its parry mechanic but there are difficulty options.

This is a true open world RPG, don't worry.

And difficulty options are here to stay. The studio wanted to make the game accessible to everyone.

Re: Open World Martial Arts RPG Where Winds Meet Announced for PS5

QiaraIris

I played the closed beta on PC and it was really good for its current state.

The trailer really doesn't do it justice. It's a full open-world RPG with anything you can think of that made it an RPG. Crafting, Dungeon, World-Boss, Side Quests, Activities, factions (martial art schools), gear qualities, talent trees (and of course ability to learn other school of martial arts and wielding different weapons), and many more.

Can't wait till it's launched.
