Those numbers seem heavily inflated given the YouTube and Twitch figures quoted in the article.

Looks great, the re-release of Battle for Bikini Bottom was an unexpected delight.

I'm more shocked how poor those sales are for Sonic, yikes.

@hhrrsn They produced 6.5m units in Q2. Their annual sales target for the full year is 18m.

I honestly forgot this game even existed, hard to believe it only came out a few months ago.

Does Jeff Grubb really still have any credibility as an "insider"? After his whole "Zelda blowout" nonsense earlier this year I'd take everything he says with a gallon of salt as it's mostly just guess work.

The difficulty in Kena is definitely a little uneven but it's hugely enjoyable once you turn it down. It's probably the most Nintendo-like game I've played on a PlayStation console and good god is it gorgeous.

Kena's well worth picking up for that price.

Will Push Square be reviewing the PS5 version? I have it in my backlog so I'm curious to see how much of an improvement (if any) the next gen versions are.

Why are Last of Us sales being compared against Saints Row? It's a bizarre comparison considering the former was released on a Friday on just PS5, the other on a Tuesday across multiple consoles.

Surely comparisons against Part 2's sales are more logical?

Considering they revealed this as some sort of MMO, the best thing Ubisoft could do is scrap it and start all over. Fans loved the original because it was a solid action-adventure game, not some totally different genre.

I recently finished this on Game Pass and while it's not a bad game the reviews were definitely very generous.

@Ward_ting I definitely agree on this point. I feel my biggest issue is that whilst you can upgrade your powers it never really feels like you're getting any stronger against enemies. It made combat very tedious.

I mean it's better late than never but it's taken them nearly 2 years?!

I really can't see this ever coming out unfortunately. It doesn't help that it looks like it has absolutely zero to do with the first game either.

@ShogunRok I thought the level-scaling was one of the better features of Extinction. It meant the game never became too easy and you constantly had to be on your toes unlike a certain other monster-catcher which has removed basically all challenge over the years.

This sounds like something that will never see the light of day due to "creative issues".

@Kidfried I'm not sure there's any need to call articles on the charts click bait and question journalistic integrity. Nobody is forcing you to click and it clearly states they're physical only. Data is limited on UK (and US) sales charts so I'll take what we can get.

@RogerRoger I'm not sure how it was "mind-boggling stupidity" to release an exclusive title that appealed to the core audience of one of the best selling consoles of all time.

This gameplay looks... perfectly fine. It could literally be from any 3D Sonic game from the past 15 years.
