Re: Marvel's Avengers PS5, PS4 Upgraded to Definitive Edition, Most Content Now Free

SuperiorSpidey

Grinding for the costumes was actually the only thing I sort of enjoyed in this game. I quite enjoyed the combat (although the enemies you fought were very repetitive and boring), but with nothing to work towards or earn, I won’t be firing it up again. I did enjoy playing from time to time, but when the whole heart behind the game was to extract every cent from the player by shaking microtransactional content in front of them at every turn, it’s no surprise that it was too hollow to keep players

Re: Poll: Did You Buy One Piece Odyssey?

SuperiorSpidey

@RudeAnimat0r Awesome! I love the show but I think the appeal is super broad: A fun pirate adventure story with great characters, locations and cool designs. I expect it'll be a fun and light-hearted game for all fans of jrpgs

Re: PS Plus Premium Members Bemused by Sony Once Again

SuperiorSpidey

Still don’t know why anyone would be interested in that tier. Granted, By the time they announced all the extra tiers, I had already bought all the games in that library that I ever would have wanted. I love PS but these services are still no match for the $10/month game pass

Re: Insomniac Games Staffers Model Marvel's Wolverine Swag

SuperiorSpidey

Insom is really one of the only devs I trust for the next few years to get the most out of PS5’s hardware. Such a great company. I can’t wait for SM2 and Wolverine but I sincerely want their team to have a good work environment even more. Take your time, guys! But not too long 😄

Re: Reaction: WTF Is Going on with The Last of Us PS5?

SuperiorSpidey

Take a shot every time you see “eye-watering” in a pushsquare article XD but yeah $70 no thanks. PlayStation’s been an odd duck lately, spending just as much time talking about their PC ports as they are their new (???) PS5 games. Looking pretty sparse the rest of this year

Re: Poll: Was Sony's State of Play the Best Gaming Showcase of June?

SuperiorSpidey

Xbox’s game pass has unmatched value. As I got a gaming PC last year, it was thrilling to watch Xbox’s stream knowing I could download and play any of the games they showed at no extra cost. $10/month is nuts. Still so excited for Final Fantasy XVI and RE4 remake, but I’ll be mostly on PC until next year, truly. Been a slow year for PS5, especially considering their big hit for the fall is The Last of Us again for $70

Re: PS Plus June 2022 PS5, PS4 Games Announced

SuperiorSpidey

Set aside that most people interested in playing GOW have done it already, (and why not? It’s one of the best games on PS4) it’s already in the PS plus collection for PS5 owners, and it’s already coming to all 3 tiers of the new service. Could they really not find anything else as a front runner? I love PS but it really feels like they’re phoning it in for both the current PS plus and for the new “revamped” stuff… especially since seeing the Digital Foundry analysis of the PS1 collection (which has come out in Asia) :/

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Cyberpunk 2077 on PS5?

SuperiorSpidey

I stopped playing very shortly after launch in 2020 since it was so rough. Just re-installed it finally. It’s a long time coming but it finally feels like what they promised via trailers, press releases etc. Not a perfect game but I’m really enjoying it now that it has a significant improvement on the quality of visuals and gameplay. Killing time till Elden Ring next week!

Re: Soapbox: Games As a Service Should Be Embraced, Not Misunderstood

SuperiorSpidey

Personally, I miss Local/couch co-op. I’ve been excited and then disappointed after Avengers, Godfall, and both new DC games advertised “co-op”, then quickly clarified that it was all-online. My brother and I always game together in the same room, and our gaming friends can’t often coordinate their schedules with us. Online shooter games and battle royales at least make sense to play alone versus others (maybe creating a friend squad of you’re able), but what happens if you don’t have friends that are available or have stable WiFi? Or just try to get 1-3 strangers on board with completing missions and cooperating? Gaming is going in a strange direction that doesn’t suit my situation.

Re: Talking Point: What PlayStation Franchises Should Sony Bring Back on PS5?

SuperiorSpidey

I just want Ratchet and Clank to have new entries. Although the standards this article outlines doesn’t include this franchise (since we got a remake on PS4), I would love some more remakes or (preferably) new games!

Very excited for this the new LEGO Star Wars too; I’m optimistic that it’ll be a mix of nostalgic fun with a bigger scope. Its stuff like that that I love
