While it’s a mediocre game, I won’t deny that seeing any Killzone news in 2024 was a delight. A surprise to be sure.

Ubisoft was so disappointed with the Paris opening they decided to send someone to “take care” of whoever was in charge.

@LikelySatan yes, no reason. Plus empires are too different. Empires you customize battles, select every specific officer and control each one, it’s not mindless and might be tricky to combine (but I still hope it won’t be overpriced)

@pharos_haven yes, I have a similar theory in mind. Only showing Guan Yu doesn’t bode well. Maybe the roster will be tiny.

ChinaJoy showed a lot of interesting stuff. This in particular is something I feel is worth keeping an eye on. Protag has an interesting design.

@PuppetMaster funny enough, this isn’t their first crack at a tv show, Kurohyou had one as well as a manga. Didn’t hear much about it though cuz it’s like a niche within a niche within a niche. People who actually seen it are an endangered species!

I’m counting down the release to DR:DR in my forum signature, personally I’m also invested in Lollipop’s release and will also likely get Sonic x Shadow and DBZ Sparking Zero.

@Jimmer-jammer I agree with you there. Personally, I’ve gravitated more towards the atmosphere, world-building, character-building and feedback loop of the games rather than other aspects of it. I adore the games as a whole but I did indeed get the same feeling you did.

Personally, I’m on two minds here. I like the formula, DS1 and DS3 are frankly two of my favorite games of all time, and I encourage creativity within any genre or subgenre and seeing new ideas from new blood, but I could not find a non-FS soulslike to gravitate towards. Except for Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight which has now become my favorite 2D game of all time and I revisit it quite often, so I’m incredibly grateful to discover it through Push Square 8 years ago when the trailer for it was posted here. Found it quite enchanting it and bought it day 1.

Due to how niche this game is likely gonna be where I live, I’d love to pre-order the switch version physically but that’s not happening because LRG are handling the release and their releases are pretty limited (wink wink) where I live. I’ll probably figure something out though.

@WhiteRabbit I would probably agree. Rarely check them out unless they have some wrestlers (like Undertaker) but even then I wouldn’t religiously watch it. The idea of the show sounds fun but I dunno how you’d make a whole tv show out of it. XD (and this is coming from someone who really likes spicy wings)
