Re: Prospective PS5 Pro Buyers Cause Disc Drives to Sell Out

@Czar_Khastik it’s possible you’re getting it from a grey-market or external store (aka a store that’s not stocked directly by Sony). Things are like that in Kuwait. Everything is a smudge more expensive. Kuwait is obviously west Asian and not EU, but it’s still PAL if I’m not wrong.
So we’re PALs.

I was readying my fingers to write a giant recommendation for Gradius, then my tired eyes did a triple take. I dodged an embarrassment sure, but now I’m sitting back from work feeling both tired and silly.
Uhhh… Grandia is probably good though you should probably try it. Tbh I always wanted to do a giant binge of ps1 rpgs so maybe I should take the plunge.

Re: Mini Review: Rugrats: Adventures In Gameland (PS5) - Fun and Frustration in This Nostalgia Trip

Yousef-

As someone who saw this show when it was new I don’t really understand how it maintained cultural relevance for so much time. Even when it was at the peak of its popularity it still looked like a weird toddler show with an unsettling artstyle. Maybe I was wrong. I do find that hot cocoa scene to be incredibly funny.(referring to the article’s sub).

On the other side of the coin, the comment above me surprised me in a way. I thought that given this game’s seeming level of care, that this would be a great NES throwback, a charm which I’ve yet to see properly emulated in a modern indie. Guess I’ll be waiting longer huh, or just tap again in my fave NES games for the millionth time when the urge hits again (not that I mind).

Re: Astro Bot Guide: Full Walkthrough and All Collectibles

@2huwman I think you misunderstood the purpose of the guide. It’s not for “helpless people who already can’t beat the game”. It is merely a resource, and it absolutely makes all the sense in the world to have it ready as soon as possible and there’s nothing wrong with that approach at all. In fact, it should be commended, rather than discouraged.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 545

Yousef-

  • Child of Light, since we’re playing it as part of the Push Square club. It was decided by votes, I will gather votes on the third Sunday if anyone wants to participate and join the club.
  • Banjo Tooie since we’re playing over the Pure Xbox club, it’s the game I voted for.
  • some general ps2 replays, including Pac-Man World 2, General GTA, Naruto Ultimate Ninja and Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3.
