On a more serious note I would prefer HFW to be PS5 exclusive but since they made a PS4 version why the dlc is locked in the next gen hardware, this makes zero sense.
Also, one year after the initial release? Maybe we have a PC port right around the corner?

@AndyKazama OK I am also guilty; I finally preordered the Steam version, turns out the game is day one Steam Deck verified. I have broken the rule one more time in recent months for Resident Evil Remake when the PS4 version was announced.

I may go with the Steam Deck in this one, the portable aspect may help with the grind. The previous one was the last game I played in my Switch. I bought it casually in discount last year and loved it, went to 100% it. The only think I did not like is that the final segment that combined the paths felt like an afterthought.

Anyway, it seems like the sequel delivers.

Still, it baffles why there was never a PS4 version of the first game.

To be honest I have zero in interest in VR but I would still be interested in articles on hardware and software sales numbers. It seems that not many people about the device.

@kyleforrester87 Yes, in fact many claim that it will be announced this month in a FF celebration stream thing. But I guess, since we already have 16 and 7 part 2 this year (or early next year) I guess it is too soon?

@Green-Bandit Yeah, physical games don't exist anymore really. I bought The Callisto Protocol for PS4 and booted the disk and it was a mess, I installed the patch and finished the game without issues. I have bought some game of the year editions that still miss content like Final Fantasy 15 and Rise of the Tomb Raider. You can lend, sell or gift physical games but from a collector point or a gaming preservation point of view they are not that great.

Very fan trailer. Now, to be honest, seeing the set pieces and the characters in the trailer I almost think that a retelling of the Harry Potter saga using this game as basis would be kind of cool.

I have never ever received a voucher from Sony or Microsoft for store credit or discount except for 20% off a game I never heard (Mass Effect something) even though I have spent a lot the previous years... I am just unlucky I guess?
I occasionally receive useless stuff like themes though.

To be fair Square sold those IPs but they also sold the dept of said companies that do not know if it was "a lot" or not. Here we had selling houses and even football clubs (!) for 1 euro due to depts that the original owners could not pay.

As for Amazon I hope they don't butcher such an iconic female character as Lara Croft like they did to Galandriel in the recent LoTR series by having her being stupid or acting like a five year kid.

@themightyant Where I live you can only find the God of War bundle with one other game and a controller and almost only online. I would buy a secondary PS5 if it still had 400€ but the price has increased for nonsense reasons.

What I want is to stop the forced bundles with games that you may have or don't want and other useless stuff like controller charges. I have a console that I got close to the release and it is the first time I got something at release and actually ended up saving money!

@Tharsman I just joined EA Play Pro for one month for 15 Euros. I will have time to complete Dead Space and play a bit of the new Need for Speed.

It is an option if someone wants to play Dead Space now for cheap.

I am played it a bit but does not play as good as I would like in my rtx 3050 laptop. Looks like a PS4 game. Still I like it from the little I played, very atmospheric!

In any case LAUNCH DISCOUNT for PS PLUS??? When was the last time this happened? Except maybe Shredder's Revenge 6 years ago? This was a feature for Plus I enjoyed back in the day.

Seriously, I have played Persona 3 FES, Persona 3 and the OG Persona 4 back when they initially released. I won't do it again. The silent protagonist thing was outdated even back then and I hate it as a concept, makes all those cutscenes soulless. Also, I am not a fan of how the Story concluded in P4.

@Lavalera Ryza 2 had an 104€ ultimate digital edition that included everything, most interesting the season pass with the story dlc and, to be fair, the extra dungeons were very cool. All PS4 Ryza 2 editions gave you the PS5 one for free.

It is true that they rarely go in discounts excluding Christmas and Black Friday in PS4 but in Steam they seem to be almost always in discount. I bought the ultimate edition when I got my Steam Deck for about 60€

I love this series. I have beat Ryza 2 in PS4, PS5, Switch and Steam Deck. They moved the release date close to Resident Evil 4 so I will have to save to buy both. I am afraid Ryza 3 will have some sort of Ultimate edition that has extra story dlc costing 100 euros like Ryza 2 though

@BoldAndBrash Yes, to be honest I didn't get the point of the Joker film. Comics tackle social issues and if this is what the point ok but the movie fails as a comic adaptation. This is the issue I had with some older Batman films. You got the impression that Batman was just there and you could replace him with a policeman and nothing would be lost.

I never watched the second SS movie because the first was very bad but I will check it.

I get it that making a Justice League action game is hard but it would be cool if someone pulled it off. But even as standalone games we have a lot of Batman and Spiderman and no Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, Iron Man. Any of the above would be more interesting than a Suicide Squad online game.

@SolarSpirit86 Seems that Peace Walker works fine both PSP and Xbox versions. There is even a 60fps patch. Have you tried Guns of the Patriots in the Deck? Footage in YouTube seems relatively good.

@SolarSpirit86 I play Twin Stakes and Ghost Babel on my Deck and nostalgia hit hard.

Ground Zeros and Phantom Pain are Deck certified and the only way to play Portable Ops is, obviously, via PSP emulation. But for 2, 3 and Peace Walker do you suggest the PS2 and PSP emulation or to go with the HD collection?

I was never a big fan of Rising. I know that all the series has the one retcon after the other but Raiden leaving its family again to go to war makes no sense.

So, we have Ground Zeros and Phantom Pain playable in PS4/5 and PC and MGS2, MGS3 (than also includes MG1 and 2) and Peace Walker in the Xbox systems (no PC) and that's it. I would love to have all the games in one platform. I would prefer the PS4 but I don't really care which one...

Now, I am not sure how to remake MGS1... Maybe include mentions of future retcons while updating the gameplay? But, how can you do this without breaking the game...

@BoldAndBrash I get that it is hard to balance a JL game especially the characters that fly, what I wanted to say is that playing as established characters would be more interesting. I don't remember Rocksteady from the top pf my head but a Superman and maybe a Green Arrow game were heavenly rumored even back to PS3 days. I have never played the Avengers game, but I guess they have flying implemented?

Each has his own taste, but SS was one of the worst comic book films I remember, second maybe to the joker as far as recent films go. Is that the film where Harley finds a bar and the others are just sitting there? I have only watched the Snyder version of JL and is one of my favourite comic books movies and I always enjoy rewatcing it.

What still baffles me is why we need a Suicide Squad game when we could have a Justice League one. I mean I occasionally keep up with DC and I am not sure who the members of Suicide Squad are. I only vaguely remember them from the Arrow episodes.

I mean why would you want to play as Superman, Wonder Woman, Lantern, Green Arrow when you can play as Deadshot, Herley or Croc or whatever he is called.

It is not that Justice League, other than Batman, are present in modern games except maybe Injustice?

To be fair, having replayed both MGS and Twin Snakes recently, I am not sure how a remake would work... They will continue retcons i.e. trying to fit stuff from, let's say Peace Walker or Phantom Pain, by mentioning the events in the story or they will simply update the graphics? In any case this is an interesting discussion topic, i.e. what do we want in a MGS remake or how would we do it etc.

I do not have Plus (whatever tier is needed, naming is way confusing) and apparently you cannot simply buy the game. This is way inconsistent. Some classic games are shown as free to me since I bought the PS3/PSP/Vita versions ages ago while others, regardless if I have the old version or not, are offered only as part of the subscription.

I don't want to sound like a broken record or a troll but I don't care at this point. Falcom uses fan translations, doesn't translate the games in other European languages and delays them for no apparent reason.

I have played all the games from Crossbell ( as well as Azure and the first Republic game) from the fan translations ages ago. I wanted to support the PS4 physical releases but in the official european store you have to pay import and custom fees to have the game delivered in Europe!!!

Now that I have a Steam Deck I will get the games when they hit the discount bin.

My launch PS4 controller drifts sometimes and the buttons don't always register, I had to buy a second one. Still, it is nothing compared to the Switch joycon drift where my characters would randomly start running around!

@Tharsman Lol when the PC port of Final Fantasy 16 arrives I can guarantee that it will be Steam Deck verified and it will work in mechanical drives. Then we will wonder why there is no PS4 version, even compromised.

I wouldn't mind Horizon Forbidden West being PS5 only but locking the dlc (!) in PS5 is ridiculous.

In any case I am a huge Final Fantasy fan!! 16 and 7 rebirth are my most anticipated games!!!!

@KaijuKaiser I did it for the main story but, unless they patched it, it doesn't work for the dlc.

They still have not fixed the stupid design choice that you can only play some of the dlc in the hardest difficult setting...

I don't have premium or whatever it is called. Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus is shown as free since I have the PS3/P/Vita version. Ridge Racer 2 is not shown as free though, even though I am pretty sure I have the OG PSP version.

It may be just me but if you are familiar with the trails lore and have not played Reverie yet if you watch the trailer you may have stuff spoiled.

I would suggest not watching it. If you want to play the game now there is a fan translation of the steam version.

I preordered the limited physical version for 50 euros (I rarely buy physical games) and I never received it. It will come in March! I feel sort of bad. They only reason I did it was because it was supposed to have exclusive games.

I am a huge Spider-Man fan but I don't know how much exited I am, excluding the fact that the game will have a PC version too.
They sort of messed up Spider-Man by changing the actor and made Peter seem younger that Miles. But why why why in all those iterations we need Miles. I am so bored by him, he is one of the blandest character that has the mantle

It was expected, they matched the Steam prices, even though other publishers introduce Switch or PlayStation tax Sega does not.

The outdated setting and performance are the problem. The silent protagonist thing was stupid in the 90's let alone now. I have not played Nox yet but Dana was a mess, in Vita and Switch at least. The game randomly went in slow motion. Everyone was in love with the silent Adol for some reason while the other male MC was a pervert even though he is married with kids.

I really liked the murder mystery and the metroidvania stuff in exploration of the island though. Made you feel like the marooned Green Arrow.

With NISA's truck record though the game will arrive here in 2024 at best.

Edit: This uses the Kuro engine?? Wow, I beat the game two days ago and it looks better than this, although it is not leaps ahead of Hajimari. I guess this game is still WIP though.

I have never played MultiVersus and I am not even sure what it is but seeing Black Adam side by side with Velma (I think) is bizarre. Too bad we will never see Black Adam fighting Superman in the cinema though.

Horizon Forbidden West, Atelier Sophie 3 and Final Fantasy Origins are my top 3 games. Makes sense!

I am downloading now on my Steam Deck. I will also get the PS4 retail version down the line!

@nessisonett I am pretty sure Steam Deck can handle it if they minimum cpu and gpu specs are correct, heck even the ps4 could handle it if it had more ram!

Curious to see if they, regardless on if we have a new MK or Injustice, manage to make the characters uglier, stupider or both...

@jrt87 So there is basically no way to back up PS5 saves except by using plus. By the way have you tried to see if you can import or export PS4 saves via USB on a PS5 system? This is off topic but I HATE the PS5 UI. It is filled with nonsense and makes finding the settings a chore.

By the way why are Cloud Saves behind a paywall? I had PS4 and Switch and I always assumed it was the case but seems like Steam and Xbox have them for free. Playing a game in my Steam Deck and continuing later in my laptop is seemless!
