Love the anime and will be watching this game's release closely. Would love to spend more time in the world via a console game. I like that it's not another fighting game too. The town building and other game play aspects sound intriguing. With the release this close I assume there will be no English dub but that's okay.
I don't mind paying for DLC that's worth it to me, and sometimes a Season Pass can be more affordable than buying each DLC by itself. But we are talking about a full price pre-order right now and this news sucks. I'm usually very late and the game's been out for a while.
Single player games are where it's at for me so I like this article. There's always a risk of failure with any game, especially if they have a huge budget. I assume making a Live Service game is even more risky. For every successful Live Service game, how many fail miserably?
That seems pretty high indeed. I've bought season passes before but they were always after the game was released. I compared the price to buying the DLC separately and in my case the content was cheaper already due to the age of the games. I know that is not the norm for everyone.
Good for them. It can't be easy to win gamers back. After issues at launch, so many gamers move on and never look back. Revisiting games after they're patched can turn out good.
Baldo The Guardian Owls is another, albeit smaller, example. They patched the game considerably and released new content for free. Now it's great.
@Melee_Ace I think there is merit in your feelings here. I personally would like a basic Mega Man Legends remaster / port collection. The PS1 / N4 games are pricey and could use a boost in look.
I wish we could fix it by telling rich companies/people not to be greedy. But they won't stop. Hopefully there are some big changes coming that shake up the industry as a whole.
Not going to read all the comments, there are 126. I agree this information should have been included or more obvious to people previewing the game. The fact micro transactions exist in DD2 is not that big a deal to me personally, I just ignore them. But I do understand the issues with them.
I don't know a lot of modern music, that's just how it is for some of us, old or not. But it will happen to everyone. You get to an age where you don't pay attention to new stuff and just focus on older stuff that you like. And that's okay.
This truly sucks for those laid off. Seems like every gaming company has laid off staff recently. I suppose it was bound to happen eventually with Sony.
There were a lot of bumps along the way to release, including poorly received trailers, then delays being announced for retooling. It would have probably taken a 180 to make the game a moderate success and it doesn't sound like they did that.

Re: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Sales Remain Muted in the USA, Compared to Past Games
@Yorozayu 100% agree. Feels like there is a target on Square Enix for some reason. Give it a rest.
Re: Funko Fusion Is Either Your Dream or Nightmare, Out This September
Firmly in the "can't stand the sight of them" camp. No sale for me.
Re: Sea of Thieves (PS5) - Xbox's Multiplayer Pirating Is Swashbuckling Fun with Friends
@Zanao Sounds great. Too bad they don't have options for CPU players in your crew. Fully multi-player games just aren't my jam.
Re: Metaphor: ReFantazio Says No to Romance, Unlike the Persona Games
That's too bad but I'm sure the game will still be very good.

This is really strange news to me. I guess I thought Paramount Plus was popular?
Re: SunnySide Is a PS5 Life Sim Worth Keeping an Eye On, Out in July
I wish they'd gone with a more anime look but I'm on board with the setting for sure.

We'll see. Hopefully the game's a little more lively than the trailer. Slice of life doesn't mean boring, it's just chill.
Re: Grandia HD Collection (PS4) - Barebones Collection Bundles Worthy RPGs
@Melee_Ace I think there is merit in your feelings here. I personally would like a basic Mega Man Legends remaster / port collection. The PS1 / N4 games are pricey and could use a boost in look.

Re: Here's More Proof We Need a Honkai: Star Rail Anime
Didn't they announce a Genshin Impact anime in 2023? I hope it's still coming. Maybe they'll make a Honkai anime too.
Re: Pocketpair in Talks to Bring Palworld to Other Platforms, Potentially Including PS5 and PS4
I might try it if there is a demo, but it's really not my kind of game. Hopefully it comes to PlayStation though.
Re: Fishing RPG Moonglow Bay Docks on PS5, PS4 Next Month
@jolteon23 Same here. From a distance it looks sweet but zoomed in not so much IMO.

Re: PS4 Is Still Getting Firmware Update Improvements, By the Way
Still on PS4 for the time being.
Re: Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis Will Be Locked Behind Expansion Pass
That's sa hame. How long of a wait for the "bundled GOTY" edition? 2 years?
Re: Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis Expansion Pass Priced at Roughly £30 / $35
I saw $35 listed on Crunchy Roll news a few days ago but wasn't sure. That does sounds like a lot IMO.
Re: Persona 3 Reload's Episode Aigis DLC Was Dropped from the Base Game Due to Development Difficulties
Better to not say anything at all if that's your excuse. When the price finally drops we'll be talking about this all over again.

Re: Significant Discounts Suggest Ubisoft's PS5 Pirate Game Skull and Bones Is Already Struggling
@naruball I'm usually getting PS games years after release and by then they are $20-$30.
Re: Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis Releases in September, Is Part of an Expansion Pass
And this does not include the option to play as the female protagonist? Or was that part of the Answer?
Re: Significant Discounts Suggest Ubisoft's PS5 Pirate Game Skull and Bones Is Already Struggling
most PS4/5 games go down in price eventually, but not in 1 month.
Re: Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis Releases in September, Is Part of an Expansion Pass
Well that's not a surprise. I hope the DLC is not stupid $$$
Re: Warner Bros' Reaction to Suicide Squad Flop Will Make You Question Your Sanity
Good grief Charlie Brown.
Re: Rumour: Assassin's Creed Red Is Starting to Sound a Lot Like Valhalla
Going to wait and see. AC in Japan still sounds interesting, but they may mess it up.
Re: Dragon's Dogma 2 Gets Mature Rating, Mentions Blood, Gore, Surprisingly Sexual Content
Not surprised that much and not offended either. Doesn't sound too overt for a mature rated game.
Re: Crash Bandicoot, Spyro Dev Toys for Bob Becomes Independent Studio, May Partner with Microsoft
@belmont Yeah, this left me a little confused. And how exactly did they become independent?
Re: GTA 6 on PS5 Will Seemingly Include ScHoolboy Q's Music
I don't know a lot of modern music, that's just how it is for some of us, old or not. But it will happen to everyone. You get to an age where you don't pay attention to new stuff and just focus on older stuff that you like. And that's okay.

Re: Sea of Thieves Will Be the First PlayStation Game in Rare's 39-Year History
Wow. I never realized that before. But then again, it's been close to 25 years since the N64 days when Rare was most special. Better late than never.

Re: Poll: What Do You Think of PSVR2, One Year Later?
I'm not interested in VR games at all. I'm too old.
